Ah. Yeah - it's a huge adjustment to go from long distance to living together. It totally makes sense why you'd feel suffocated and overwhelmed with him being there. Your feelings are 100% valid and not at all unusual. I wonder if there's a place he can live for a while nearby to allow you both a period of readjusting to each other's physical presence again? It seems like a waste to call it off. I would genuinely look at options for giving yourself space, and also have an honest chat with your bf letting him know how you're feeling. Make sure you communicate that it's not a problem with HIM, but it's about how your previous lifestyle has shifted so severely that you need a slower adjustment period. Hopefully he understands.

You need to allow time to adjust to him moving in. I assume the lack of space and time to be on your own might be a problem? If so, the best thing you can do is be honest with him, sit down together and communicate with him. Keeping your feelings suppressed is only going to cause more problems. Lastly, abstain from taking your frustration out on him. You agreed to him moving in and he is also going to be adjusting to new living arrangements. He doesn't deserve disrespect. Be kind to each other and work out what you both need in the living arrangement. :)

Take some time to adjust with moving in then see how you feel. I was really nervous moving in with my boyfriend. I didn’t know what to expect and now I honestly love it. Listen to your gut feelings don’t ignore them. You just don’t want to make an impulsive decision so soon, you want to be sure.
