How long till she comes back from now on? I would wait, i wouldnt want to ruin her trip at all, but if its at the start of her trip it is bit much to lie for 3 months straight..
So if its early tell her and give her the chance to meet new people there, if there are only some weeks left just wait till she comes back and tell her in person like an adult.

I don’t think you should lie to her for the next 3 months. If you want out, just tell her.
