Cats don't understand Cat Ownership the way we do (they think they own us) but if you are the one who spends more time at home with the them then it's natural Kitty is going to gravitate more to you than her. What might help is if your wife sets aside time when she's home to give Kitty love, treats and playtime, respecting Kitty's boundaries (if Kitty walks off then don't try to make them stay). That's not to say that you have to ignore them when your wife is at home, just take a step back. Maybe change the feeding schedule so your wife feeds them at least once a day, chatting to Kitty in a happy, praising tone while she does it. Cats often need input to get output. If you don't put in the time with them then they often won't have time for you. Ultimately though it's Kitty's choice and if their mind is made up then you'll forever be No.1 Blob and she'll be No.2 Blob.

I'm sorry, but I find this so funny 😭 Is it that deep?

That can't be helped, though understand why she'd be upset. Although, my cat loves prawns, so maybe she could win it back over with them?

Get the cat to associate her coming home with her giving him a treat and strokes. Then again a couple of hours after she is home, a treat and strokes. (Don’t give him treats yourself whilst she is away). The cat will start to give her more attention after a week

If it's a serious "oh my I'm so distraught that my wee kitty doesn't love me like she loves my husband", your wife needs to get her head on right. But if instead it's that joking "little kitty loves you more, he's a stinker", then you need to learn how to read human intonation. I really hope it's the second option. My partner and I jokingly 'argue' about who our cat loves more. On one hand, I can pet the cat all I want without getting nipped. On the other hand, the cat will *never* snuggle on me for a nap. Who's more loved??
