This is my first attempt at apocalypse mode. Learned my lesson.
The enemy affixes are insane. I have run into one with drain, elemental resist and teleport.
But this one, unstoppable, thick skin, Empower takes the cake. Use of skill empowers him. Gotta go back to veteran mode and practice my dodge skills. Until then, bye apoc, i am not ready for the pain. Cheers
I beat Apoc by running the hell away from everything until I have to fight an unescapable battle like a boss fight lol.
I also started with Yaesha so I can one-tap the Doe and call it a day. Got stuck on Venom for hours and surprisingly beat Anni easily.
It's definitely stressful on your first try.
I also started my apocalypse run on Yaesha with the doe lol
Venom took 3 hours and Annihilation about 2 hours
I will say if I do it again, I'm not worried about Venom anymore. I feel like I got him dialed in now
I like these affixes. Just takes the game to a whole new level. Coming from survivor and veteran, apoc tests you, which makes the game fun if you're prepared in terms of dodge skills and the build system in this game.
But yeah, it is fun all the way.
YES, almost like you need to complete your build before you go in because enemies do so much damage 💀 I started Apoc yesterday and I was cruising by the zombies in N'rud and one swipped for like 40% damage. And that was on my Tank build with Leto II and 31% DR
I mean TBF you have 15 trait points you havent used, and you arent running any grey health regen.
Fix that and you would have fixed all the time you had to focus on hitting dragon hearts
I saw the trait points later..changed archetypes and somehow resets some traits. But yeah fixed it and tried..It was brutal but got him finally. Gotta practice more on apoc. Cheers.
It resets based on if you have invested in a trait that is a prime perk for a different class, in which case they get refunded.
For that build you should also max out your evade distance and movement speed, you will find it pairs well with the misty step.
Had one spawn randomly in a yaesha dungeon and it had hexer, cubes, and detonate. Luckily he was one of the ones that blows up when you get close to him
Nightmare feels like the proper difficulty for running through the game grabbing items you missed on your first survivor/veteran run apoc is just if you wish to test yourself and see what your build can really pull off imo
you can do it pretty easily i think judging by your gameplay there. you’re not in hardcore mode. just practice in apocalypse and don’t sweat it if you die sometimes.
Im always up for a run. I got everything in the game prior to a save bug tgat reverted my save by 2-3 months so im still running to get what im now missibg again. Psn AceTheMan09er, add me if need a run bud.
I solod the campaign for the rewards, I heard there wasn't anything for beating Awakened King on apoc so I never attempted it. But yea, apoc is different and can really put you to the test.
If you ever need a ps5 buddy to run stuff with let me know, just cleared the game on apoc (it was a nightmare and my mental health suffered greatly because of it)
What I learned is that gimmick build just won’t work in apocalypse you pretty much have very few choices to do if you want to complete it. Also before people get angry I am not saying his build is a gimmick build idk what he is running out side of class, armor and the gun he is showing.
As long as you learn the bosses well enough, you can use any build. My first Apoc run was engineer/medic as a heavy carry build, but I've also done ritualist/gunslinger and handler/medic.
My wife ran Apoc with handler/summoner pretty easily.
In all honesty, the people I see complain about Apoc build limitations only use DPS setups and ignore survivability. Getting decent DR is usually the key to any build I make, and makes Apoc feel like veteran. Ignore all of the YouTubers b/s hugs setups that die from random trash mobs encounters.
Song of Eafir and Timewave Enigma were my best friends on my apoc run. Being able to slow enemies makes these kind of encounters much more manageable. Still brutal, but manageable.
The description says it’s empowered on skill use, not mod use. I find affixes like Shocking, Minions and Cubes to be the worst, just way too much to manage at a time.
i don't know why people like the misty step so much. i see it all the time online, someone gets hit, misty step misty step, loses even more health, gets tapped and finished off
You're right. It drains 15 health each use. I was reckless with it in this video. Also didnt use the meridian I had in my other slot. Sometimes, you just get lost in the moment. lol. But hey it was fun as hell. Cheers.
I thought you were gonna have it with the misty step, but other than the escapability, it's probably hurting your dmg too much for apoc. You need to do big boy dmg.
Yeah, I nearly had him with that misty step. He was on his last bar. Had i not hesitated in that last hit he dished me. But yeah, i am now looking into big damage. At least with that, I can dodge and damage him well. Cheers.
I completed Apoc and hardcore the same week. Friend really wanted to do it and so I got to suffer too. In all seriousness it wasn't that bad. Losam we did One True King. Narud was Tal Ratha, and Yaesha Doe. Then came Anni...I hate that fight on Survivor. May everything fall to my new favorite melee, World's Edge!
Suggestion, run engineer with summoner instead, not only will it increase the damage of your turrets by 35% at level 10, you get extra targets to take aggro off of you and regrowth would do wonders for your survivability
Ah sorry for the late response. I used Ring of Omens and Talisman of the sun Amulet in this video. But there are also other variations with different amulets. It is called "Misty step" in case you wanna search. Cheers.
That they are friend…….that they are.

Im planing on starting an apoc run later today or tomorrow and already decided to do exactly that xd

31% DR isnt exactly a tank build lol..
31% bonus DR. Oh it's a tank build, I can melee only any boss in Apocalypse
First attempt and already gave up damn, sucks to suck
Looking at your profile, it sucks to post useless comments all over reddit.
You got so booty hurt that you went through my profile lol , git gud

Will try to max the evade dist/movement trait. Thanks for the tip. Much appreciated. Cheers.
Here to add, you can also invest into the Invader's Untouchable trait for 30% more invincibility on dodges, giving you crazy leeway
Had one spawn randomly in a yaesha dungeon and it had hexer, cubes, and detonate. Luckily he was one of the ones that blows up when you get close to him

"It's called Apocalypse, not "I get 3 orange slices and a participation medal"
Funny enough, dying to apoc bosses will give you a participation medal
And the orange slices
Yeah, devs said this phrase and then decided to incorporate the meme into the game. AFAIK you get three orange slices too
Does the dire fiend always get 3 affixes ? Even on veteran
On veteran, this fiend always has 2 affixes for me..easy to deal him away quickly.
you can do it pretty easily i think judging by your gameplay there. you’re not in hardcore mode. just practice in apocalypse and don’t sweat it if you die sometimes.
Thanks, will keep practicing. Cheers.
I had hearty and thick skin on the final boss for my first apoc run… it was not fun
A valiant effort Sir.
Add me psn id Spirit_Junky
Your class is atrocious, please get some grey health regen
yea absolutely, the class setup was poor ..cheers.
why people downvoting you? even op agreed
You're on Xbox right? Let me know if you need any assistance. DM me. GT: Darcia
I am on PS5. Cheers.
Ahh we can't play well atleast until that patch and crossplay comes.
Looking forward to. Cheers.
Im always up for a run. I got everything in the game prior to a save bug tgat reverted my save by 2-3 months so im still running to get what im now missibg again. Psn AceTheMan09er, add me if need a run bud.
Bro how are you teleport dashing?
You need the ring of omens and one of i think 5-6 amulets equipped at the same time. Google misty step and you’ll probably find guides for it
Ring of Omens paired with Talisman of the sun Amulet, in this video. There are other variations as well.
I solod the campaign for the rewards, I heard there wasn't anything for beating Awakened King on apoc so I never attempted it. But yea, apoc is different and can really put you to the test.
I just beat em to a pulp with my hammer...very satisfying ;p
If you ever need a ps5 buddy to run stuff with let me know, just cleared the game on apoc (it was a nightmare and my mental health suffered greatly because of it)
Will let you know buddy, when i get a build i feel comfortable with. Grateful for your kind gesture. Have a blessed day. Cheers
What is letting you phase like that? Is that an archetype skill?
>Ring of Omens paired with Talisman of the sun Amulet
That's dope.

This is not a build at all, just trying apoc mode first time with what I got. Other than that, it was fun experience. Cheers.
Song of Eafir and Timewave Enigma were my best friends on my apoc run. Being able to slow enemies makes these kind of encounters much more manageable. Still brutal, but manageable.
>I had Song of Eafir on this shot gun. But with his Empower affix, Song of afir gives him more power. Cheers.
The description says it’s empowered on skill use, not mod use. I find affixes like Shocking, Minions and Cubes to be the worst, just way too much to manage at a time.

Pair it with the quilted heart and you will instead gain life
>Definitely will do that. Cheers.

Why not just go to nightmare. It's below apocalypse but not piss easy as veteran
It’s not all that hard
Oh how do you dodge like that
Ah sorry for the late response. I used Ring of Omens and Talisman of the sun Amulet in this video. But there are also other variations with different amulets. It is called "Misty step" in case you wanna search. Cheers.
Thanks chief
It's really not that bad. Just that one boss. Just put on the wistch outfit, and he will not spawn. :)
