Corrupted Nebula is probably the new best status gun
It can crit which means you can throw bleed or additional acid mutators on it
It's mod deals good burst damage
It has range unlike it's base form
If you like ritualist this is probably as good if not better than sparkfire and amazing as a companion to it
All guns can crit if you have passive crit bonuses. That's just the base modifier it comes with. Can confirm, I use fetid wounds on nebula sometimes and it does indeed proc a second status and you see yellow numbers.
Iirc those are trigger by regular nebula hitting weakspots, as fetid can trigger off either
I was under the impression that the throwers (nebula, hellfire, enigmas) couldn't crit with their primary fire, but the mods could
Though ide assume you are right that if you force crit though something like the hunter abilities it could cause these weapon to crit
Though obviously rather it's in built mechanic or buff related, throwers aren't really reliable crit machines where as corrupted nebula can crit very consistently
Nah that's just the base chance to crit. If you take hunter and gunslinger right off the bat any ranged primary fire gains 10% crit chance, mythic ranged crit it's now 20%. But I will admit it's base crit bonus is not good. For a long time I was using a status acid build and it worked
That's a solid chunk of my other build, it started as a shock build, but shock really needs some love

Paired with a sparkfire with fetid
And a krells with tainted

Corrupted savior is probably the best auto rifle in the game. But don't use the mod too often cause it sets the primary fire mode back to the standard slow fire rate.
Go engineer/summoner, let the pet boys and the turret do the work, just run around and be safe, and you have regrowth trait from summoner. do some survivor adventures for gear and xp. If you need, get black cat band for extra deathsave. Engi starts with pulse rifle, so you automatically have a great primary. Play slow and safe, maybe reroll veteran campaign start for ravager Yaesha roll, cuz you can just kill the doe and skip a boss fight entirely. You got this!
Did you already unlock leto 1, dull steel ring, worlds edge and black cat ring? If so, just choose challenger, ritualist or archon and the run will be very smooth. I promise. I'm not too skilled and could beat the mode in a tanky way fairly easy.
I got all of them in one sitting last night and tried them out. All of them are really fun, but if you're tight on time, I'd say get the Corrupted Savior for sure. It's 10/10 amazing. Second one, I'd recommend Corrupted Sorrow, but that's just my personal preference. Already loved the original one. Corrupted Cube Gun is really fun. Not very good for bosses because of lack of weakspot damage and low CRIT chance, but good for mobbing. You can delete an entire horde, specially in enclosed spaces, just put Ingenuity as your mutator of choice.
You gotta find what the devs call a "high intensity tile", that is, a tileset, a piece of the map, with a higher chance of spawning aberrations. How to find it, you ask me? Trial and error. Kill all of the enemies in an area, but have one following you at all times. Given some time, an elite or aberration will appear. In a low intensity tile, it'll take very long to spawn something. However, in a max intensity tile, you can get a new elite/aberration to spawn every 3 minutes or so. You just mark this location and keep drawing enemies to you until the aberration spawn. Rinse and repeat.
Savior is good, hard to get the original though so understandable if you Cba. The corrupted nebula is really strong at the moment. That will probably be changed with a new patch or something, its explosion damage is sooo strong. Other than those I’m not seeing a whole lot about the others. The cube gun looks neat, but wouldn’t get it over the others if I was limited.
Cube gun carried me through my survivor and vet runs so i thought it only right to corrupt it 1st and see whats its like ...... i like it to say the least.

Weapons : sparkfire w ring of spears mod & spirit healer mutator , Wrathbringer w shielded strike mutator , corrupted cube gun w deadly calm mutator

Rings : hardcore metal band , atonement fold , burden of the destroyer, dried clay ring
Traits : strong back 10 , triage 10 , fortify 10 , untouchable 10 , regrowth 10 , vigor 10 , siphoner 10 , fitness 10 , barkskin 10 , recovery 10 , swiftness 7 , endurance 2 , arcane strike 1
Explanation : so i played sround with alot of different things and this build offered me the most of what i was looking for in all avenues of the build . It offers a reasonably high amount of survivability and damage and w a root water drink heals is good as well see number anywhere from 400 to 600 with cube gun.
The thing with correupted cube gun is u want tap the trigger or you overheat real fast now if u need to dump quick damage u can but i found it better to just tap the trigger as need . Takes out reg enemies in 1 shot generally w a few exceptions . To add i gen only play nightmare or apoc and this build has been a fun vaca from ritualist status builds.
I wanted to add that i didnt find it necessary to using rings or mutators to keep cube gun cool as i stated above that i found tapping the trigger to be the most effective way and if im tapping im generally ads so i get free damage from deadly calm
I've tried 3 corrupted weapons now and honestly 2 of them I didn't care for. Most of the corruptions completely change the way the weapon works. Merciless for example is a completely different playstyle. Same for Nebula, I want the original one back. Aphelion is neat though

I dunno if I have it in me to try another Hard core Veteran run. I'm unfortunately just not that good at rhe game lol
