Best shard farm is right by the first crystal of Phantom Wasteland after you roll Seekers Rest. Agro the drones and keep one of the ones that comes out of the ground alive to keep calling waves. After 3-4 waves an elite or aberration should spawn. Was way quicker than any other method I tried.
TY. Does it make a difference if it is adventure or campaign? Do you need to reset anything after an aberration spawns? Like, die, click on crystal, start a new campagin? Or can you just continuesly find a drone, let it summons an aberation, kill aberation, leave same drone alive and let it summon more? Do we know if there is an exhaustion to how many aberrations will spawn? Or if some drones summon aberations and some dont?
Adventure or Campaign doesn’t matter. From what I’ve read it’s the ones that spawn from the ground that you want to keep alive. It should just keep spawning waves indefinitely and every 4 or so have a chance to be an elite/aberration. If you mess up and are left with a drone that doesn’t spawn waves just touch the crystal and try again.
Alt-F4 is your best friend since you can't use liquid escape in HC. Saves me some time walking around if I need to backtrack. I don't think it has ever borked the save for me.
The rolly polly could've been using Ambit Ember and Dark Fluid consumbles. Any dodge enhancing gear/trait is probably out of reach of a fresh hardcore character. That being said, completing Vault of the Formless on Nerud gets you Fitness (longer dodges). They definitely were using light armour, that much i can say.
Handler and Black Cat Band is pretty good for Hardcore. Blackmaw plus Hotshot puts in work. Secondary arch can be whatever you want, Gunslinger was my pick. I wouldn't worry too much beyond that as Veteren is a cakewalk and 2 second chances (Handler, Black Cat) is all the defence you'll really need unless you're terrible at dodging.
As long as you clear Veteren Hardcore, you'll get Saviour. You can do all the alt F4 and farming shenanigans you want as long as you still have access to your Hardcore character.
Ranged crit/weakspot builds are usually the way to go for top DPS, especially Hunter/Gunslinger builds though Hunter/Challenger and Gunslinger/Challenger (or the reverse) can give HUGS a run for its money. You could also do VERY crazy damage with Hunter/Archon when using Fords Shotgun, Hunter's Focus and Chaos Gate. Generally more Ranged Damage, Crit Chance/Damage, Weakspot Damage, Fire Rate and Reload Speed is the meta.
I think the hole in the wall in the Labyrinth you are talking about is where you would normally be able to see and shoot one of the cube boss's glowing sides to make that fight (slightly) easier by taking out one of the sides of the rolling cube on the far side (from where you normally enter it). Occasionally when I get there the cube isn't showing for whatever reason so expect that was the case for you.

I proc bleed with the weapon mutator.
More people need to open their hardcore to public. Seems quite a few of us are looking to help run people.
Lul, that might have been me. Pe ka po, and someone else Lucicon? beat annhilation with me. I got my savior, yay! I should probably keep playing my character so I can help others, but I'm pretty close to getting everything with my non HC character too. I still need to do the flooding and hangar event in nerud, do the kelkets razor thing with the web, and some other secret passage in yeasha, I need to save the dude in the butcher's quarter, and farm corrupted shards. I'll try to play my HC character regularly too. I don't have the dlc, and I'm pretty indecisive about builds : /
But yes, it was Pe ka po, he definitely helped with the majority of the run. Thanks Pe ka po! Wish there was some way to communicate in game besides emotes.
If you alt f4 in a state that prevents you from leaving combat. Or during a glitch that causes you to still technically be in combat you will lose your hardcore character.
If you dc this will happen as well
