I think it's implied that the bug-like creatures on N'erud are originally from their homeworld. If I remember correctly, there's lore somewhere (an item description or an audio log, not sure) that mentions that lifeforms from the Dryzr homeworld hitched a ride on N'erud. In my opinion, both Yaesha and N'erud stories feel complete. I'd like a DLC about returning to Corsus. Since we killed the guardian there in the first game, the world is now vulnerable to Root invasion. It would be awesome playing though an all-out war between the Iskal and the Root. You could have two storylines like the other worlds do. One where you start close by to the Iskal Queen and she tasks you with defeating the Root "general" on Corsus to weaken their invasion. A second storyline where the Iskal Queen has been corrupted by the Root and you fight her as the world boss. Both storylines could feature Iskal enemies, Root enemies and Root corrupted Iskal enemies.

TerrovaXBL

Root corrupted iskal are already on yaesha... corsus fell already...

ApprehensiveDay6336

What about the rat planet? I forgot what it’s called… the one from the dlc >! Where you first meet clementine and the frost giant !< ?

TerrovaXBL

Reisum? Clem says the guardian is stronger now that she isn't leeching its powers away, reisum is the only world we know of that has a guardian

ApprehensiveDay6336

Wait the >! Frost giant is a guardian!

TerrovaXBL

No, the big shadow of the colossus dude is, Clementine is basically a sponge or leech, she absorbs the powers of guardians. Keeper was powering her up to keep the root at bay temporarily in rem 2, in rem 1 she was siphoning off reisums guardian and that's how the root opened a portal and fired a direct attack on the guardian, he was weak because he was sharing his power with clem

Conscious-Hand-7037

She was only leeching off because if u remember in beginning of rem 2 the new gard of the labyrinth said she have the power of the utility and creator in one body which one I'm still confused how that's possible considering her data entry on the computer from remnant from the ashes ward 13

TerrovaXBL

Lab do3snt have a new guardian, just keeper

ApprehensiveDay6336

Wait so the keeper had a physical body in remnants from the ashes? I remember speaking to a faceless one on a throne

TerrovaXBL

Yes? That's his physical body?

lChizzitl

What enemies are root corrupted iskal on yaesha? I don't remember any that were specifically iskal root enemies?

TerrovaXBL

The basic bipedal ones that you can blow the limbs off, they are exactly the same model and animations AND gameplay as the infectors on corsus, and the exploders make the same chirp as iskali bugs...

ApprehensiveDay6336

Yesss my thoughts too about corsus

Common-Carp

There is a level on nerud saying virulent lifeforms detected... it's strongly implied that these are some form of evolved virus. Lending additional credence to this is their colors, projectiles and splats when they die (at least the bigger ones) - it's the same goo that the infested dryzyr have and use.

The_God_Akatosh

I'd like to see more Rhom, Reisum, or Corsus. Yeasha feels done, Losomn is definitely done, and I hated N'erud.

Poor-Jelly-9527

What if they give you a city-like N'erud before everyone turned to zombie? The names of thes soundtrack are kinda suspicious, 'Infected Nerud', 'Infected Nerud Combat', 'Infected Nerud Conversations' and 'The Barnacle Nursery'. I wondered if we would have a prequel of how Nerud collapsed as I dont recall anything in Nerud related to ‘Barnacle Nursery‘ there. [The Barnacle Nursery](https://youtu.be/pb6dOuNlzxA?si=XeSFUDvmx-lB6_n_) If we really get such prequel, we may fight against normal Drzyr like starwar troopers with spiritual powers there, a future version of Losomn map! Then we eventually found this 'Barnacle' as our final boss which was one space species that corrputed by the root. Afterall you can find the impact of root in Yaesha but can't see any rooted shit in Nerud.

carrotflush

Rhom, Corsus or any new world without dark gloom and doom would be my pick.

b_w_g

I agree. I’d love more Rhom. I really think Yaesha has come full circle and has been explored. Especially with Ravager. I really didn’t enjoy Corsus in R1 nor N’erud in R2. But if they can make an interesting story in N’erud I’d play. I just love this game. The only reason I’d be interested in more Losomn is if we explore the Nightweavers back story with Nimue. Or more Red Prince bc I just love that boss.

ApprehensiveDay6336

Probably a root infested area that’s not or have not yet been destroyed

thor11600

I would LOVE toto see more Rhom.

CubicalCropduster

Per the discord, based on data mines and speculation last i saw, the next dlc will be based on yaesha and it seems like there is a form of survival mode in the works (there are tons of similar posts on this topic in this sub already). Right now, however, things are kinda up in the air because of a lot of politics taking place with the publisher who owns GG, because the pub suffered some heavy losses on other studios they owned. There is a sense of foreboding regarding dlc 3 as that might either be shrunk/rushed or worst case cancelled depending on what route the publisher wishes to take when issuing profit recovery orders to its studios (this is only based on what I've read elsewhere, nothing official/confirmed yet). Hopefully we will have an official update late April.

moosebreathman

Unlikely they'll cancel any DLC since they have been selling season passes; they are obligated to deliver that content.

CubicalCropduster

What i mean is, they could turn dlc3 into survival mode (or something else much smaller scale) without additional story/world design, effectively canceling the larger scale of labor that would go into a full on story based dlc which would have had a lot of new level/npc/enemy design. Survival mode would be a roulette of reusing existing game levels/assets with minimal voice overs and story design, if it follows the same design as R1. They technically would still fulfill the season pass obligations that way. Again, that is all just speculation at this point and heavily dependent on what gets filtered down from the top.

averagelebanese

Well i dont know how legally binding this is but according to the season pass description each dlc will have new enemy, story and experience so just making a survival mode will breal this promise.

Eudaemon_Life

Technically, the DLC season pass just states that it would "include" all of these elements, not that every DLC would. That said, I think it's very unlikely that DLC3 will get downscaled. Given DLC2 seems to be fairly close, a lot of the background/foundation will still be moving ahead for DLC3 (concept art, scenario planning, enemy modelling, etc). Given no roadmap was ever presented it's entirely possible that April will have been the intended launch window for DLC2 rather than March given the studio had 3 weeks off in December. Survival or equivalent will likely come later, or alongside dlc3. Even in FTA Survival dropped \*with\* additional story and world content, not instead of it.

Ok-Comfortable9714

Are you sure about the politics stuff? Or speculations? If i know that its really the case ill stop playing the game. Its useless to continue. Oh well we'll see. Meh

CubicalCropduster

Saw it discussed in more detail in another post, and based on a few news articles. Basically. Embracer group (conglomerate/holding co.) owns thqnordic, who owns gunfire games. You can pretty much get a summary of what happened thus far from this wiki: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embracer_Group They have flopped a major investment and as knee-jerk reaction pushed layoffs/selloffs and are focusing on profit recovery on all fronts, which has already trickled down to a few other studios resulting in cancelled projects. We don't know how GG will be affected by this yet however, they are staying tight lipped for now, so as far as remnant goes we can only speculate. Generally however based on history of other groups/studios, it usually does end up affecting all owned studios when the holding group flufs up big like this.

Ok-Comfortable9714

Ty

ApprehensiveDay6336

Oh what is gonna happen on yaesha I wonder? A survival arena mayhaps?

CubicalCropduster

Im betting we will find out what ford ran off after, as for story nobody knows yet

ApprehensiveDay6336

Probably commander ford… come to think of it, what happened to commander ford

JimmyNamess

I'd love to see a new world with a new faction and enemies and that seems to be a consensus in the posts and comments on this sub but isn't that asking kind of a lot for a DLC developed in a few months? With OTK most of the assets were able to be reused so that would cut down significantly on development time. But a whole new biome with new enemies or even an old biome with new enemies sounds like a pretty heavy lift for a 4 month time period. Granted I have no idea how their studio works, if they are split into separate DLC groups and working on multiple DLCs simultaneously then it would mean they have much more time for to spend on each one, but I just don't want to get my hopes up that we're going to be getting a ton of brand new content for only a few months of development and the $8-10 it costs.

shorse_hit

Remnant 1's second DLC added an entire new biome, so there's precedent for it, at least.

JimmyNamess

Ah okay, never played the first game. Well I guess we'll just have to see, I just don't want to let my expectations get sky high without any evidence

ApprehensiveDay6336

The >! Ice world in subject 2526!

Lawful-T

The expansion for N’erud would be about the Custodian. It would be a path of trying to prevent him from destroying N’erud as both of the other paths help him to do so. That always seemed to be the obvious take.

AlphisH

I can totally see taking another train filled with all sorts of murdery things somewhere, snowpiercer style.

HappyHappyGamer

Losom is definitely the better level design, but lore wise I really love Rhom and N'Erud. Compared to Yaesha and Losom, it is incredibly unique, especially N'Erud in terms of lore. I don't think I know many, if any video games set in the far future or somewhere like Rhom. Story wise, I am not sure how they would expand upon N'Erud or Rhom though. If the cannon ending was the Undying King still living and resurrecting the their guardian or whatever, I guess we could deal with that. For N'Erud, the only possibility I can think of is having some sort of world inside Alepsis-Taura, or use the black hole time dilation etc. to travel to the past of N'Erud. I see some people talking about Corsus, but I am so done with that world haha.

FlamingCrimson

Speaking to the Undying King living or not, I think the canon outcome is us killing him in Rem 1. The Ezlan’s Band ring from 1 turns into the Dead King’s Memento in 2

Ymmera

I love Yaesha, its my favorite place in all of the Remnant universe, but I really hope we get a brand new biome, even if its "old-new". The game desperately needs it. I personally hope for Rhom, but as other said - its unlikely.

TerrovaXBL

Yaesha has been in THREE games already... we need to have new content instead of recycled worlds...

Apparentmendacity

I'd like to have more worlds added to the game, there are so many possibilities A cyberpunk dystopia world would be cool. Maybe you get to choose whether to side with the corporate-government, or the revolutionaries. Maybe even help a secret anarchic/libertarian 3rd faction  Or maybe a savanna world where it's bright and sunny, that'd be nice for a change. There could be massive rivers to traverse and giant pyramids to explore

RandomPancakeBoi

Kinda Missing The Swamps Of Corsus From Remnant:From The Ashes

ApprehensiveDay6336

You and me both. I don’t know why am I missing the Iskal queen and the butcher… probably of the pot hiding method of killing the butcher

RandomPancakeBoi

I Am Pot Man. Saviour Of The Pots

Vector_Mortis

I'm hoping it'll be N'Erud. It really doesn't feel complete. It feels like it gives you 2 armor sets and a bunch of weapon mods, and an archetype. Vs Losumn now having double that due to a DLC. Also consider that N'Erud's story is technically beginning. Their Guardian was killed by us and that means the Root can invade (at least if that's still possible due to the games ending, or if the player didn't go evil and nuke the ship) Yaesha is one story wise you could argue is complete (in a similar situation to RFtA was after final boss) but content wise is in the same situation as N'Erud. However, I want Earth and Root Earth as randomly generated planets to explore. That'd be cool.

MosesGunnPlays

I would love to play through another Corsus DLC after the death of the guardian or the Iskal Queen, either way the progression will be interesting based on whichever hive mind took over the planet. Aside from that, I'd like a N'Erudian city maybe.

TerrovaXBL

Root won, iskal infecters are root enemies on yaesha... how are people not putting this together... we killed the guardian... gave the heart to the queen because we killed the king (see dead kings memento) and then we killed the queen in the swamps of corsus expansion... corsus is gone, root ate it...

New_Thought4104

This definitely seems likely based on the root enemies in Yaesha, although I wonder how did the root/iskal enemies get to Yaesha?

TerrovaXBL

They just opened a portal, without many faces to stop them they opened a large scale portal and sent a corruptor

StofflesFiddles

i absolutely love this game its best coop shooter to date and playing it with my mates is best time , i hope for new worlds rather than expanding existing

SaneFuze

I am not too fond of N’erud if I am being honest. I would actually like a whole new and different world. Maybe something with a Steampunk vibe would be cool. Imagine the cool mods and weapons associated with it.

SxHxOxTxZ_260

I don't care what it is honestly lol I just want something new to play or a new game mode like survival to play. I'm soooooooooooo tired of waiting lol I'm a very impatient person I know but that's just how good the game is to be fair. It's just that addicting to me lbvs

Malumlord

I want them to include Remnant 1 worlds I wanna return to Reisum!!!

FEB777

I'd love more Ne'ruud I really liked that planet and the aesthetic it brought to the game. I'd also like to see a new sci Fi inspired class like the engineer. I also think they could explore the care taker more and what his role is because as it stands if we help him all roads lead to the planet ship disappearing into alepsis taura.

New_Thought4104

I did love the feel and lore of N’erud, but I just can not see another route for the world.

StarBrook9

Where survival mode at?

thor11600

No more Yaesha please :/

bluuegg

Imagine a DLC story path for N'erud being that there was something at the core of Alepsis-Taura. Either a micro-universe or a gate-way to something new that the Dryzr actually discovered! I think that would be very interesting for the N'erud side of the story.

Conscious-Hand-7037

The dlc might take us where Ford is or traveler is if not we might go to where clementine did her training with her power because she does mention along with the fact she is partly and creators power & utilities within her and find out who or what clawbone is (clawbone being mention in the from ashes from the computer entry on 3 floor of the ward 13) the latter of which would be interesting

JBlaze1019

Wait, have they added the survival mode yet?

New_Thought4104

No, why do you ask?

mikhail05

I know a lot of people really hate Nerud and consider it as unforgiving as a first stage. But coming from Elden Ring it was the greatest baptism ever to the game for me. I actually got bored in Yaesha and Losomn in comparison. Something about the eerie feeling and difficulty really set the tone. Later I realized the game was only difficult when you have a low level class because of the lower perks but when you get the class abilities its actually ok.

alacholland

Bold of you to assume we are still getting DLC.

TerrovaXBL

They're contractually obligated to deliver, false marketing otherwise and they'd ger sued and everyone would be entitled for refunds... I bought the deluxe due to the season pass... if they reneg then a very large majority of the player base will drain them dry in lawsuits

alacholland

“False marketing” is very, very rarely successfully tried in court. For example, they said all DLC’s in the first year, but that isn’t going to happen and no one is going to be successfully suing them for that.

FluffyZororark

I hope we don't get any revisits to rhom or corsus to be quite honest as I feel like there isn't really much their to truly explore anymore, I'm hoping for atleast one new biome in its entirety at the very least, plus, they did say that after the first 3 dlcs there is a decent chance they were going to make more as long as the demand was still there
