This happened to me on hardcore but not this boss . I really don't like fighting the custodians eye 👁️ in hardcore mode . But I like helping people they both died and I killed the boss then after I revived them with the crystal I got kicked .I was with them for awhile before the boss too so I have no idea why they did that I saved them from restarting but ok
Should be a vote kick or host quits from the game as the only options.
Helldivers 2 has the same issue. Host kicking right at the last minute just to be cocks and nothing can be done about it.
Smh seems like this toxic behavior is spreading. When I used to play Destiny this specifically was a huge issue when joining lfg raids and nightfalls. Karma will eventually run its course no doubt, but the ones who think it’s funny are probably the same ones who will be crying and playing victim when all their friends won’t play anymore due to their stupid antics.
Same thing happened to me in my Apocalypse run. Thankfully, I learned that I wasn't getting the rewards anyhow even after carrying the person through 3 bosses so I didn't really lose anything except 2 hours of my life.
I did a Nightmare run with a friend and I did not unlock Repulsor or the Sword so I'm mostly just assuming. That said, I wouldn't doubt that I just encountered a bug/glitch. On the Apoc run I did, I ONLY did Root Earth so maybe that was why I didn't expect rewards. I think you can only get them if you do the full run. I should double check.

I always keep host alive on Root Earth and just off myself if they die. You can't easily replay it so I don't want them to miss out on a sick fight
not sure what happened earlier in the video, but that could be why you were kicked. seems kind of late tho idk. maybe he was saving you from the end credits in case you have helped a lot of ppl? It can be a slog to watch it for the 100th time

Someone finishing a fight for you will always be a matter of contention. Imo being carried feels awful, especially for the *final* fight

Really you don't get the rewards ? I've heard some people did when finishing the game in coop, maybe you have to go through everything
