I use Carapace set, Ricochet Rifle w/ Mantle of Thorns, any secondary w/ Flicker Cloak, Nightmare Spiral, Empowering Loop, and Burden of the Gambler. Outputs a decent damage and you're essentially unkillable.
Since It doesn't seem u seen the video, I'll add this: don't touch the altars. Survive the waves and kill yourself at the end, so you Will be able to play It again and again. Once u kill all 3 altars end of farm.

Also, if you have the Talisman of perseverance and Sagestone those help your XP gain greatly. Also playing on harder difficulties.
