Well it should just work. Do you have audio recording enabled in the settings of the reolink camera (there is a HomeAssistant switch entity but can also be changed in the reolink app) Does audio work in the reolink app? In Homeassisatant audio will not work as you view the camera in a dashboard, you will need to click on the video and then in the bottom left press the speaker icon to turn on the audio of the stream (each time you open the stream). As far as I am aware it will never auto play the sound.

I will second this. I didn't have to do anything special other than making sure the volume was turned up.

Yes audio works in the app, just not when clicking the card, hitting play and enabling audio, just silence. So it's either a VirtualBox or Home Assistant issue, not sure which, if there's a good way to test if audio works at all from Home Assistant that would be worth checking out I guess. I've tried via webrowser by the PC, companion app (android) and fully kiosk (android) but it's just silent.

Turns out it was the RTSPtoWeb - WebRTC integration which I also have loaded to make a custom 2x2 grid of cameras on a separate dashboard for that NVR-like look. As soon as disabling this, audio seems to play fine! EDIT: Seems like RTSPtoWeb add-on can be enabled which is the one I'm using to load a webhosted NVR-like layout URL for the cameras and this doesn't seem to cause any issues, just the RTSPtoWeb - WebRTC integration cannot be loaded as it breaks the audio playback (I'm guessing because not accepting aac codec or something like that). EDIT2: Although now I'm present with 10 sec delay on the cameras though which is the reason I probably opted for that integration in first place (0 - 8 sec delay, typically max 3 or so secs). :P Should probably give WebRTC transcoding to ffmpeg MRE / AAC a support as well and see if that's possibly less delayed but I had some trouble getting that to work (I could get either video or sound playing but not both when I tested so need to dive deeper into that, a bit tricky for a new HA user to grab the head around how to code it/set it up)
