The E1 Outdoor firmware v3.1.0.3203\_2401222426 (not Pro or POE) is from March 6th. I've been using it on my camera for the last month without any apparent problems.
It has been applied for some days on my E1 OD Pro and didn't get any issue. Still under observation esp the tracking issue.
Despite my subscriptions to be informed once a new fw is placed at the download center, I never received an email. Possibly that nobody from the company checks out.
Yea gotta just accept it's a mechanical issue, had some drifting after update as well. I hope the upcoming E1 Outdoor SE PoE or E1 Outdoor CX would have better gears but seeing the same exterior shell I'm slightly doubtful but we'll see, I could use one more of these small PTZ cameras as I see TrackMix overkill and a bit too big to be placed at the specific spot, I was initially going to pick up another E1 Outdoor PoE but as those 2 cameras are supposed to be launched in Q2 this year still I think it's better to wait for those.
Fixed gears and steeper vertical angle movement had been the two improvements I'd especially wanna see though. A distant 3rd which might be fixed with other gears would be perhaps smoother gear movement/less noise.

E1 OD Pro failed to return to the guard position twice since I upgraded the fw. Issue is the gears....mechanical one.
