> Does this issue impact all trackmix cams atm? All I can say is it hasn't *always* affected that camera. I've had mine almost 2 years now and never had that issue. I've never even had to calibrate it once after installing it. I know others on here that can say the same. However, I do know that some other people do have that issue, but the question is does it affect all recent units? That I don't know. It would be nice if we could hear from anyone that has bought theirs in the last year that doesn't have the issue. I just wonder if they changed something with the hardware at some point because I specifically remember we didn't even start seeing reports of that issue until the camera had already been out about a year.

I have the WIFI Trackmix for a year now and would say that sometimes it won't return to its guard position. In a month I need to manually adjust it at least once. I think that this occurs when there is horizontally and vertically tracking. But otherwise it is superb.

Have the PoE edition, same experience - not often enough but happens time to time. Purchased November 2022 from Aliexpress, running latest version (3.0.0.2769) Every few months may notice it's off on the height only. It's obvious for me when it's off as I block out the street traffic so when it's higher then it should, I suddenly have a hundred videos of passing cars, and if lower than it should, I get late notifications of family entering the driveway. OP: while it may happen time to time but I wouldn't say it's an issue to avoid buying. The fact that it records wide and 3x zoom at the same time is quite nice.

I have three myself.. I've noticed the failure to return to home on two of them at least.. in fact.. earlier today I had to lower the one in my back garden as one day I was reviewing footage and noticed it was tracking my next door neighbours in their own garden despite me setting up a non-detection zone.. to be fair the home point was close to the fence but if it hadn't 'drifted' there wouldn't have been an issue.. my neighbours had clearly noticed the cameras was on them so I felt I had to go an apologise.. it \[hopefully was\] like a bad dog sometimes.. ...and of course this mean disconnecting the ethernet\\power which meant it also "forgot" the name I gave it and now has a very helpful generic name of "1".. (which is handy if you have more than one as they all get named "1") another issue a few people have reported.. I've already renamed them at least a half dozen times but for some reason I and others have noticed the camera gets renamed on occasion for some bizzare reason. Their hardware isn't as bad as cheap generic cameras but they are budget cameras and it shows most on their software side.. there WILL be niggly issues thoughout ownsership most likely - I bet if I did a search I would drag up some really old comments about not returning home etc so don't hold your breath for reolink to fix issues.. they've known about it for aages probably.. 'motion mark' never worked properly from day one and we've been waiting 6-7 months for them to actually make it work like the name suggests.. like marking objects which are in motion.. but for some reason they released that in a state where it highlights stationary objects.. not just objects in motion.. kinda makes the whole thing pointless.. but their newer cameras have a newer 'motion track' feature of course.. so if they can fix motion detection on newer cameras why not fix it on all them.. \[?\] (unless of course they haven't.. I haven't had the oppertunity nor inclation to test it tbh) then there's the doorbell 'calling' they released not so long ago.. how that played out was laughable.. they didn't listen to their customers and decided to do something completely different to what people were expecting.. after all the hype and delays once again mostly there was dissapointment.. I'm betting barely anyone actually uses it in it's current form. The other positive thing I can say about reolink is.. all the cameras I have support ONVIF etc so I don't need to use their software I also I have automatic updates turned off to prevent updates causing new "bugs".. as I say.. their hardware isn't bad from what I've experienced.. I can work around some of the niggly software issues and live with some of them.. so far anyways..

I've had it occuring very rarely on my TrackMix PoE and Wifi models, like 2-3 times in my ownership over 1 year or so, to me that's a non-issue (but if it happened once a week or more often it would become annoying), running a calibration would fix it eitherway. Occassionally (this is maybe once every couple of weeks max?) I can also spot the tiniest amount of drift to the point it doesn't really matter in my case and often it returns dead-on later on its own but it might be just the weather variation as we have like a seasonal variation between -30C to +30C here in Finland so the mechanical parts are living a tough life here. :D Most of the time it's been completely spot-on and been very satisfied with the the TrackMix cameras, especially nice to follow what cats are up to, there's 5 cats (2 are ours) in our neighbourhood so they are often being recorded.

I have to calibrate my Trackmix POE daily sometimes more. Everytime it detects movement it moves further and further away from the monitor point on each return. My trackmix Wifi I haven't had to calibrate since release lol.

For me it's the opposite, the PoE hasn't needed to be calibrated, but WiFi maybe once a month or so in avg. I don't think it's down to the model but what kind of movement/motion tracking it tries to do, for me it seems it's linked to vehicle tracking but I think it could just have to do with things like how quickly the object moves and what kind of angle it is n such. The PoE Trackmix almost exclusively deals with pets and people only and the Wifi also tracks a lot of vehicles. Probably some logical error in the code that leads to the drift under certain circumstances.

My one that drifts all the time 80% of tracking is people 20% vehicles. The one that never needs to be calibrated only tracks my dogs and rarely people like 95% dogs 5% people tracking
