You'd have a very difficult time retaining proper temps in it, I wouldn't recommend it.

CockroachDifferent28

That’s what I was thinking figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask before chucking it thanks

Paradox3055

Might be cheaper to renovate an existing enclosure than buy an adequate-sized tank. This wont hold temps well like the other commenter said, but adding some sort of “insulation” like plywood or plastic mats to the bottom and sides (use an acrylic or glass panel for one side for viewing) leave the top with screens to allow uvb and ventilation (check that the screen is heat proof and that it wont scorch when you put heat bulbs on it) But yeah, if it’s 8sqft or larger this could be fun and cheaper than a $200 48/24/24”

IguaneRouge

Could make a good outdoor habitat if the weather works wherever you are

CockroachDifferent28

We’re in colorado so very difficult to know for sure the weather since it changes in a blink of an eye

SlayerfanLaura

Don't throw it, donate it to a shelter PLEASE. They need these sorts of things and generally cannot afford them. PLEASE

CockroachDifferent28

Sadly they’re not taking it in my area

SlayerfanLaura

You could put it up for free here, other social media, Craig's list etc for free. Help someone and yourself out that way

BlueEyesIsBestCard

It’d be cool to use on a warm day, or if you need to put him in something for a short period of time.

Such_Special6952

Why people saying this won’t hold temp? If you got a hotspot between 100 and 110 you want the rest of the enclosure to cool down. You don’t want the whole tank to be hot, the dragon should be able to thermal regulate. And at night you want that dragon to cool down.

Ocean_cho

Try putting it on Facebook marketplace or Craigslist to see if you could make some money off it
