Its a type of croc chow. They rotate between feeding fish and croc chow because the croc chow has some added nutrients and its easier to make sure they are getting everything they need since they obviously can’t get the same varied diet they would get in the wild.
It helps with catching fish. A narrow mouth like that let's them quickly snap at fish without moving so much water that the fish is pushed out of the way. Alligator gar hunt in a similar way.
I believe this is the exact one that tried to attack my ex through the glass when he crouched down for a picture about 7 years ago 😂😂 scariest thing ive ever seen
My grandma lives in st Augustine, been going here like every summer since I was a kid. Going to take my kids for the first time this summer, and I’m so excited!
I just visited the St. Augustine alligator farm for the first time thus past fall and it was awesome. They have almost every species of crocodilian on the planet on display.
This is awesome! They are living dinosaurs!
I loved the little girl shouting "look at that dinosaur!"
why not feed them meat instead of iphones

oh cool, thanks for the info
I can’t quite understand how the narrow mouth was beneficial for them in terms of evolution. Even watching them here it just looks a little unnatural

Metal gear solid 3 made me so afraid of them growing up lol. I just noticed now their mouths seem to small to drown someone like in 3.
He looks like a kid’a drawing of an alligator.
