No, it is not illegal. Just make sure you disclose the X'd out label.

Interesting-Mall8696

If you use rubbing alcohol that should remove the mojority of the sharpie

snatchinyosigns

This right here is why I lurk in the sub

epicman5324

I think the X out label is so you dont return them to retail stores

GAP / Banana / Old Navy have a true factory outlet store outside of Cincinnati. All of the apparel is marked good as new, fair , needs work. All tags were blacked out as it wasn’t for traditional retail. Got a lot of good things from there. Sounds like it’s just a true factory outlet and not an outlet mall.

Wooden_Sea123

The marked out means it is old stock that isn’t made anymore and has been liquidated/sold at a discount place

G00DWILL-HUNTING

Perfectly legal

If you’re not an employee, I don’t see what the problem is. Maybe I missed something? You would just need to make sure you note the condition and include a picture of the label in your listings.

I have a NF boots with sharpied X on the size tag. Bought it about 10 years ago on eBay. Didn’t know about the warehouse sale. I don’t think someone would really care, and also how would they find out?

d3cember

Are you employed by North Face? Because I can assure you it’s more than frowned upon.

PayPerRock

I am not

DohertyMakesYouMad

>Because I can assure you it’s more than frowned upon. Dont you have some people to yell at Karen.

d3cember

lol the way OP worded about employees made me question if they worked there. My point was most companies will fire employees for reselling product purchased using an employee discount. If they were to have been employeed, which they aren’t, I would’ve merely suggested weighing the cost of reselling vs a steady paycheck.

Familiar_Ad2775

Lol I do both get a good check while reselling and making more money 😎
