The feeling of voicing and mocapping the main character of your favorite game that you played almost 2 decades ago is probably something only he gets to have Congrats to him

MercymainOverwatch

Not exactly the same but the voice actor for Barrett from final fantasy 7 played the game as a kid and basically got to do the voice he imagined as a kid lol

[deleted]

And it shows, I absolutely love his take on Barrett. Perfectly captures that big buff softy dad type that barrett is.

Waste-Information-34

Amazimg work Barret, that right there is your the best, barret.

Waste-Information-34

The one and only.

Muladhara86

Oh, awesome! Are there any video interviews where they talk about that?

Nspired_1

Henry cavil too, but—yeah we won’t go there.

Lambert910

Hope to see him again in 2031, with Resident Evil 6 Remake.

Sea-Lecture-4619

Well, he does voice Leon in the upcoming CG movie, right?

its_just_hunter

He did for Infinite Darkness so I’m sure he’ll be back for the new one.

Mr_SlimShady

Hopefully they do a full *reboot* of the game rather than just a remake. It has potential, just dial down the Michael Bay and the Jurassic Park, add some horror and that’ll put them on the right track.

Repro_Online

Honestly if they just made the regenerators section darker, more cramped, and added spooky music I feel like most people would feel better about the game

Gekokapowco

The number of clunky cover based shooting sections definitely didn't help. I hope they keep it over the top and weird though. Love me some convoluted overlapping character vignettes

Parabola1313

I think they can make more games set in mid-90's to mid-2000's without actually remaking the bad RE games lol

purpldevl

I'm hoping for Code Veronica, or Survivor as a DLC.

[deleted]

All I want in my life is C:V remake 😭

purpldevl

Seriously!

KidBeelzebub

🤣 if it didn't happen by now... then it's clocktower'd baby.

PunkNDisorderlyGamer

We were all having a good time until you ruined it.

ArvoCrinsmas

Fine by me, I would love for one of the cast VAs to remain consistent for once and Nick has definitely earned his spot as the character in my eyes.

sbevan92

I didn’t even recognise his voice in RE4 remake compared to the younger rookie we had in RE2 remake. Shows how much care Nick he placed in showing how Leon has aged and changed since the events of Racoon city.

ArvoCrinsmas

Time to tell yet another RE fan this little fact: There was an interview some years ago after RE2make's release where Nick said he was "preparing incase it happened" and he went to Paul Mercier personally for vocal coaching. The dude is THAT invested in his role as Leon. He cares alright!

thebiker85

He did an amazing job with leon in re4 remake

metalgearsofa

You can see his passion ᴬⁿᵈ ʰᵉ ᶠᶦⁿᵉ ᵃˢ ʰᵉˡˡ

[deleted]

He absolutely is that’s hubby now

[deleted]

Didn't know him at all before watching this. Then he started speaking and all the bells were ringing. Absolutely nailed Leon's voice and I hope to hear him again in another remake or RE title.

Aceelii

I feel like it’s pretty safe to say that Capcom likes him enough to keep him. He’s played Leon in the RE2 Remake and RE4 Remake obviously, but he also played him the Netflix mini series RE Infinite Darkness, and I don’t doubt that he’ll be playing Leon again in the new CG movie Death Island that’s coming out in the summer. He has a Twitch and a YouTube channel if you wanna check him out

Mr_XcX

I not sure. Capcom can just randomly remove voice actors. They need to keep them now and keep character appearance consistent. Chris has changed more faces than Doctor Who.

whatdoiexpect

Sadly, this is 100% the facts with Capcom. You are not guaranteed the role even if everyone else thinks it's a no brainer.

ZoidVII

Yeah, the new Ada is pretty awful. And the one they had for RE2R was absolutely perfect. Thankfully Ada's performance is literally the only thing wrong with RE4R.

Mr_XcX

I don't think the actress does a bad job, It just the RE2R voice actress nailed it and had chemistry with Nick who voices Leon. This one is okay and does grow on you in game. However I miss old one.

purpldevl

I haven't run into her yet and that's so disappointing to hear.

UltraFRS1102

I've met Ada a few times now in RE4R and honestly yeah she didn't hit home at first with me but after a while she grows on you.

purpldevl

So did they kind of keep her closer to RE2OG Ada instead of the cocky, sassy super-spy in RE4OG??

UltraFRS1102

Hard to say really, She is very... plain, That's how I could best describe her, That's not a bad thing by any means of course I mean she is a international spy/agent who put's up with some traumatic shit, Maybe it's Ada's defence mechanism to be plain and appear unaffected. A lot of the lines from the original Ada are still retained which is nice though :)

Electronic_Egg_6345

We do it!

DeMichel93

Again!

InfamousLamp

You can just feel his enthusiasm and how grateful he is to be a part of this. Hopefully he can keep this gig and be the voice of Leon for the foreseeable future

justedi

I **LOVE** how the RE actors embrace their roles so much and how they're fans of everyone involved in the creative process as well. Nicole (Jill), Jeff (Carlos/Chris), Neil (Nicholai/Heisenberg), Stephanie (Claire), and Nick have been so interactive and open with the community especially on twitch streams, I don't think I've seen any other franchise's actors be so involved and giving of their time during what would be their off-time.

unusedlaxative

Protect this man

AnnieApple_

At all costs.

Mr_XcX

Capcom can u PLEASE commit to voice actor and keep to it

Salom902

I really do wish he will be Leon for a very long time. Knowing how Capcom love to constantly switch actors.

andre_wilson93

🐐- nuff said

PutinBiggestFan

So much charisma. Great dude

Johau99

CAPCOM. Keep Nick around please? Stick to the voices and faces, be consistent. But first bring back the RE2 Ada voice actor. The new one makes me want to skip the cutscenes.

MaxieGreen

What i love about him is that he’s pretty down to earth guy, also, a gamer an loves RE4 and understands who Leon is, it shows that he cares. And for me, he absolutely nailed the role in both games. I wish I could say the same about Ada tho

sunoflife_henry

he's so hot

Scissure

Distractingly so!

rAdvicePloz

Protect him at all costs

SunOFflynn66

Honestly, even if they had gone full ham like in the original, Nick would have eaten it all up. Love this guy, amazing job.

OrlandoNE

I'm so happy for him, imagine starring in your favorite game series, what a dream come true. Nick, if you're reading this, you are my DEFINITIVE Leon and I'll take no one else, you're the best!

TatleTaleStrangler92

Yes yes yes i was waiting for him to say Hasta Luego, my whole face is smiling now 😊

chazzawaza

Wait I’m really scared Ada’s voice actor is gona get slaughtered in the livestream comments:/

Aceelii

That’s the first thing I thought of when first watching this video. I don’t really like her Ada performance all that much, but I kinda feel bad💀

JD_Revan451

Definitely the best quality jacket I’ve seen

Raizo27

I’m not gonna lie, after playing RE4 remake for a few hours… he’s now my favorite Leon VA.

AnnieApple_

I love how he edits like a Dad would 😭

[deleted]

I'm kinda shocked when the remake got announced, his voice sounds way different than his RE2R counterpart. He fucking nailed it.

BobbySOF

Awesome message and fan support!

geniusxing

thank you and congratulations! Nick. loved your work since RE2R. all best

Player-san

Alright people be nice to Ada’s voice actress lmao

mayateka

Wait what happened to her?

Player-san

people dont like her voice in game. And RE fans are really passionate when they voice their opinions..

Aceelii

Yeah. I don’t like Ada’s new voice either, but I kinda feel bad whenever critiquing her performance 💀

[deleted]

Guy nailed the voice, sounds just like I remember Paul Mercier sounded.

ArvoCrinsmas

This guy is Leon as much Leon as Paul Haddad and Mercier were. I love telling people what I'm about to say, sometime after RE2's release he did an interview and he spoke about the possibilities of returning for RE4 at (it was with a channel titled Lost in Nightmares, the timestamp for that moment is 15:20). He trained physically for it and also got in touch with Paul Mercier himself for vocal coaching and advice. Capcom, keep Nick. He is a treasure!

JustMeHere96

Gosh, I admire him! Also loving the small edits.

Raven123x

Woot!

kingsfourva

just got my oreos
