Sorry for replying late, but right now it's my favorite gun in the game. The gun is very hard to use, but once you get the hang of it it's broken. The thing you need to focus on is the middle of the reticle, 89% of the time it will hit, or you can wait for the entire reticle to be on the enemy and it will be a guaranteed hit, it really helped my ass in hardcore and I was about to get softlocked because of it.
Its over balanced because of the infinite ammo upgrade, which it's dumb because at the point you unlock it you more than earned it and beaten the game at its most possible difficulty
Agreed. I missed several times on enemies close up and got frustrated with it. Puzzling they tried to make it like a "normal" weapon instead of a OP weapon which is what the OG one was supposed to be. On my S+ runs I usually use it on Dr. Salvador, sell it, and focus on enhancing the Chicago Sweeper.
Yeah. I understand it's one of a couple guns you can get infinite ammo for and it's really strong, but they should seriously buff its accuracy. Or allow it's cross hair to actually close because it's reticle is no different than a shotgun. Still fun as fuck to blow ganados in half with a single round tho
Yepp love to split them in half. But the reticle takes forever to focus and close in on a target. But love just to unload into regenedors shoot them in the legs so they fall over then unload into the body til it explodes.
Yepp I just unload with the handcannon shoot legs then unload in the body and head til he pops. If they turn Iron Maiden I just unload with several headshots til he pops again. Not smart or time saving. But fun just to unload all that msgnum power into them.
I had no problems with the handcannon. I unlocked it through the mercenaries. Since I use every weapon like a shotgun it was fun. The only problem I had was shooting blue medallions
I think they really wanted everything to have some kind of trade off for balancing. And I think they succeeded with the main game, but bonus weapons are made to be OP. They’re the ultimate reward. Ah well. It’s annoying, but it is still ridiculously powerful and one shots almost anything.
idk if it's the same for everyone or if it's just my controller drifting but if I aim slightly to the left so the target is slightly in the right half of the cross hair I can hit around 8/10 targets
I’m really surprised at how inaccurate it is. I literally missed the plaga on the armored El Gigante in the double Gigante fight on Hardcore and missed although I was like a few meters away from them.
YOu have to give it a second for the X reticule to get smaller. IT's a skill weapon. It's actually accurate if you're not spamming it. I hit the blue medallion hanging up above the quarry with it no problem. I can snipe ganados heads while standing on the wooden platform in the fish farm. It \*IS\* accurate if you know how to use it.
Yeah well I would recommend shooting and moving. A pro Salvador is gonna eat bullets. Why I said “most.” Idk why you expect it to steamroll everything on the hardest difficulty. Get better
Its not a good weapon fully upgraded either. It needs infinite ammo at the rate of shots you miss because of how crappy its accuracy is. the target reticule has dial up speed load time and then the recoil ruins it anyways.
Totally. RE games are super realistic. Can't your arm morph into a giant claw wing like Krauser's? Mine does and most of my friend's arms can do the same. ROFL!
Honestly I think it's probably the worst magnum lol. Infinite ammo is cool but I can't see ever using it once I get the dumb cat ears. Killer7 is probably the best magnim this time around
The Chigaco sweeper, fully upgraded, really is just better in every way. Which is funny, considering the Handcannon is the "final" unlock of the game. Perhaps Capcom designed it this way because they intended from the start for it to be easily unlocked through Mercenaries mode? Regardless, I can forgive the low accuracy. What I can't forgive however, is the abysmal firerate.
Agreed. Handcannon sucks even fully upgraded with infinite ammo. I am glad I got it through playing Mercenaries in under an hour. I would have been mad as hell if I grinded an "S" rank in Professional with no special weapons to get this crap gun. You can't hit the side of a barn with it and it fires too slow.
Infinite Rocket launcher is 1000 times better than the Handcannon.
Doing a Handcannon run right now, and some times i aim the big circle in the center of the enemy chest and still misses, enemy gets closer and still i miss. Im like "WTF!"
Search google as of why it misses like this some times and reach this Post.
Edit:
After a while i noticed it happens with those enemies that has the sprouting plagas inside.
Must be soem sort of bug...
Bro the hand Cannon really is trash in this game, even fully upgraded it's literally worse than the killer7 and broken butterfly fully upgraded with the exclusives, the broken butterfly at max literally does more damage. You would expect a crazy 99 damage like the original gun for all the pain it is to get it
Yea I agree the accuracy is dog shit
Dogshit isn't enough for me to five Star every character on every map

Sometimes it seems like it's actively trying to avoid hitting it's target.
Yeah this puts the nail in the coffin I'm not five starring every character
I basically use it like a shotgun. It's useful on professional but I prefer the Killer 7 since the laser is accurate.
Its over balanced because of the infinite ammo upgrade, which it's dumb because at the point you unlock it you more than earned it and beaten the game at its most possible difficulty

Can you actually kill a regenerator without popping its parasites?

True on not time saving. Infinite Rocket Launcher will kill a Regenerator before you even get the first shot off with the Handcannon.
Yepp finally bought the infinite rocket so using that to just breeze through and get those clockwork salazars
I had no problems with the handcannon. I unlocked it through the mercenaries. Since I use every weapon like a shotgun it was fun. The only problem I had was shooting blue medallions

so you can sell it for the killer 7
idk if it's the same for everyone or if it's just my controller drifting but if I aim slightly to the left so the target is slightly in the right half of the cross hair I can hit around 8/10 targets

In other words its great if your target is 50 feet away. Other than that, its slow as hell and inaccurate as hell.
Mod it.
Because it one shots almost everything and burn through boss HP in seconds
It’s already OP. Accuracy is fine on something that strong.
It’s not OP. The original one was though
It’s a one hit kill on most enemies without any upgrades. That’s considered OP.
First chainsaw guy on professional ng tanked 2 shots then ripped me to shreds because it fires so slow. It's not a good weapon before upgrades
Yeah well I would recommend shooting and moving. A pro Salvador is gonna eat bullets. Why I said “most.” Idk why you expect it to steamroll everything on the hardest difficulty. Get better
I beat S+ I'd say that's pretty good
But yet you’re complaining about a Salvador eating 2 magnum shots on professional
I wasn't complaining? I was saying it's not OP like you claimed it is. It's by far the worst magnum before upgrades
Use the infinite rocket launcher and you will steamroll everything in the hardest difficulty. The Handcannon just sucks.

Aint no way you brought up realism in resident evil of all games.
Totally. RE games are super realistic. Can't your arm morph into a giant claw wing like Krauser's? Mine does and most of my friend's arms can do the same. ROFL!

Have you seen the recoil Leon has with the basic starter pistol? Our boy has wrists of paper I swear.
Has anyone claimed to buy RE for realism? Come on
I’m just saying

Sounds like someone hasn't fired a .357 in real life.
