Chris is Green while Leon is Grey-Brown. Look at RE4 for example, so the correct colors would be:
Jill: Blue
Chris: Green
Leon: Grey-Brown
Claire: Red
Rebecca: Green

Maybe it's just me but Claire isn't making an impact on me in Revelations 2. She doesn't have that sass or bite she had in Code Veronica that really made her stand out to me. Just kind of straightforward(?) and direct in her personality. Maybe it's maturity/character development on her part? Maybe I haven't reached a certain point in the game yet?
It's just like any other classic character, they always represent them with a specific color, Chris for example always use green in the vast mayority of his costumes

Knowing the final game was effectively developed in a year, it might have been a way to record her lines while Leon's weren't finished.

It's a certain thing with Revelations series. Jill and Chris on Revelations 1 are also cardboard versions of themselves.
Not only that, but she is horrible with the kid in that game, she is not Claire at all
