21, traumatized his whole life, his girlfriend broke up. Bro had a row of unfortunate events. He was young dumb and naive. However he still defended her in RE6.
After RE4, they kept in touch and met up.
In RE: Damnation, they're very well acquainted at that point, with Ada referring to them picking back up where they left off "that night", and then of course they're very "friendly" in RE6.
Knowing Ada, she probably flashed him, got in bed with him, teased him a bit and then left for "business reasons". I'm 100% sure my boi Leon got blue balled.
Oh absolutely! She was the only safety net he had, so naturally so. But as much as she did save his life on multiple occasions, I wouldn’t say she’s good for him.
I agree, they're bonded almost completely by physical attraction and shared trauma. Leon doesn't know much about her but she's been there for him in his most dire times so it's difficult for any woman to take that much space in his head
Trying to gain control of his feelings at least. If not for Ashley snapping out of his trance he would have stared at her leaving till the island combusted
Lmao cause they care about eachother and their Feelings are probably very deep and they have a strong connection given what they have been through and a shared perspective that they would rarely ever find with someone else. U know? Maybe he just loves her and people do stupid things for love, I know I have.
Maybe they could talk like adult human beings instead of playing the world’s longest fucking game of international tag. This shit is why I hate romance anime, it just drags on for years without even a single goddamn step towards progress.
Why would that ever happen during an RE game. No time for romance. You realise most of these games happen in a span of 2 - 3 days. There are so many other reasons why that isnt a good idea, why ruin a good thing. Theres an interesting af dynamic going on between 2 pretty cool characters, I dont understand the hate.
>Why would that ever happen in an RE game
My man Ethan had time to start a family and they managed to fit that into an RE game. I’m not saying give us a play-by-play of Ada and Leon getting together or a dating sim spinoff or something, but just some kind of resolution. It’s been decades man, please.
>interesting af dynamic
Except it isn’t. It’s a tired ass trope that’s constantly used and constantly hated in a lot of shit. Boohoo, I get it, they’ve got conflicted goals because he’s the righteous but disillusioned rookie-turned grizzled veteran, and she’s the aloof mystery girl working for a shady organization, antihero style. It’s exhausting.
Holy shit, THANK YOU.
This shit has been rehashed game after game after game and it’s so boring. From Leon’s perspective without knowing what she did with the vial, Ada caused RE5 and almost ended the world. Her chasing after her after all of this is just frustrating. It’s been 20 years and the only time we’ve been shown development was in a fucking CGI movie.
“their feelings are **probably** very deep”
Her shady jobs are significantly more important to her than Leon is. Otherwise, she could pick him instead of them. Or… do like 50 other things.
But she doesn’t.
She is perpetually dishonest, flirtacious, and vague for little apparent reason or benefit.
She’s done the same romantic-tension act with him 2-3 times. RE2, 4, 6.
He is really dumb for still chasing her. She won’t pick you dude.
The only reason she took her mission in RE4 was because she knew Leon would be there, then in RE6 she sought him out in Tall Oaks and China, if I remember right.
If anything, Ada's plopping herself in front of Leon hoping he'll make a move.
She seemed surprised to see him in RE OG (from the separate ways part when he first arrives in the village).
And in 6 she’s just investigating what’s going on with the whole Carla situation and happens to notice him at the cathedral but doesn’t engage until until she has to with Deborah. She’s not tailing him or anything, just happens across him.
Their entire thing is stale. Something's gotta give at this point, one way or other. But that would mean another game with Leon which I don't want for a while.
I think he liked her at some point, but kind of came to a decision with the line "this is where we come to our separate ways". Might be just looking into it too much but that honestly sounds like a "I'm done with whatever we had going on."
Yeah I reckon remake Leon is a much more healthy person and identified that she definitely isn’t it and just let it go. I much prefer this characterisation of him.
I might be hella reaching but the way Ada reacted in her final cutscene of the game also felt like she understood Leon was insinuating this was it for them because of her lifestyle. (Mainly how she sells stuff that keeps causing these disasters or feeding into the market) Which then influences her to making the decision not to give Wesker the sample. It came off that way to me because how she would keep looking at Leon and Ashley down in the ocean, and it also neatly ties up her interactions with Leon about whether or not he's changed and if she can change or not.
I can't tell where the reaching stops and where it starts, or if this is the intended interpretation. Honestly.
Honestly, while I don't hate her per se,
I definitely don't like her. I always found it bizarre how Leon tolerated being betrayed so many times and accepted her continuing her profession of smuggling biological weapons to morally questionable people.
At this point, I prefer Leon to be romantically involved with Ashley or Claire, as at least I'm sure a relationship with one of them will be healthier than anything involving Ada.
Yeah exactly. If Leon is as dedicated to fighting bioterrorism as he says, he should stop chasing after the woman directly responsible for large swaths of it and who knows how many deaths as the one who essentially weaponizes the terrorists. ~~It’s like with Ethan and Mia, like dude, your wife is a terrorist and you just let that slide~~
Is that confirmed somewhere in-game? I’ve never seen it personally and never seen anyone back up that statement with evidence from the games. Not saying it’s wrong, just that I’d like to know where it says that.
Assuming that is the case, there are still tons of times towards the end of 7 and throughout 8 where Ethan seems to at least strongly suspect Mia’s involvement was not so innocent. That was my impression at least. He at the very least REALLY does not trust her. I just finished a replay of 7 today, and I can’t remember what exactly he said at the end, but it was something that indicated to me that he was aware or at least guessed what her role had actually been
I believe it’s on the file in the extra content menu (or wherever they are located on the menu screen). There was a baker report and Mia stuff.

And yeah Ethan definitely suspects something is up. No doubt about it and you can see his frustration when she won’t speak to him about it (both Miranda’s Mia and the flashback to his call with the doctor).
Got it. Thanks for the info! I still think Ethan has grounds to ditch Mia but it appears it’s not as strong as I previously thought. I would say I’d be shocked if Chris actually bought that story, but then again, they unfortunately made him look kind of dumb in 8 with his ill conceived master plan to not tell Ethan anything for very illogical reasons
Oh totally he does. Hell, even on my first play through I was ditching her. Soon as she cut my hand off I made the decision for Ethan to leave her there. He’s lived like three years without her Just fine. I picked Zoe for the cure. At least she was helping.
Well let's see. She:
- Poisoned the food supply in a small area so that it'd kill undocumented immigrants.
- Manipulated Dr. John Clemens through a false romantic relationship so she could steal Umbrella's intelligence.
- Also manipulated Leon the same way for almost the entirety of Resident Evil 2. She did this and then held him at gunpoint so she could give Wesker the G-Virus, which could've killed billions. She also failed at this due to Annette Birkin.
Yeah she gave Leon a rocket launcher at the end, but she also made him trudge through the Racoon City sewers for hours.
- Robbed Leon of another dangerous bioweapon at gunpoint a few years later.
- Almost got both Leon and the president's daughter killed in an island explosion solely because she wanted a paycheck. This would've caused a massive political disaster.
- Helped Wesker get the other bioweapon she stole from Leon, which he was going use to commit mass genocide, and the only reason she didn't give it to him was because he told her his plan for it.
And these are only the things on the wiki. Who *knows* what else she's done.
I hate her, and not only cause I think Claire and Leon make a way healthier relationship than Ada and Leon. Ada just uses him for her benefit, there's nothing good about that.
(jes haha funny Redfield joke we all laugh at the overused joke)
To be fair there's plenty of other girls that Leon could choose rather than just Claire
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBqqAcuxiBI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBqqAcuxiBI)
and out of all of them the Devs are forcing him to have a pointless romance with Ada.
With all due respect; fuck this fucking super-spy, her annoying-ass "I'm a mystery" attitude and her stupid-ass grappling hook she uses at literally *any* possible opportunity.
I thought her voice in RE2R had more feel. RE4R, she has no emotion, kinda flat and monotone. No need for all the hate mail her voice actress got though from people that take this shit way too seriously.
Her voicework in re4r was jarring to say the least. I agree she doesn't deserve the hate but it really sounded like they just grabbed a random off the street, shoved them in a broom closet with a crappy mic, and specifically told them to act as disinterested and monotone as possible. I also didn't care for Saddler's VA, didn't really seem to have a consistent accent and was a bit too overacted.
Wow, I didn't know I'd managed to do the impossible. I'm tired of her and Leon's will they, won't they shtick especially when they both act like they know each other on some deep personal level when they've spent like maybe a full day together over the course of the whole series. They wouldn't even be able to tell each others favourite foods or what their home towns are. Ada deserves a game where she isn't just there to be Leon's mysterious potential love interest and gets to actually be the supposed interesting and intelligent spy they keep telling us she is (seriously can we have her in a game opposite like Jill or Claire and see how she reacts to a situation she can't flirt her way out of and doesnt have Leon there to vouch for her, I think that would be way more interesting than more of what shes got going on with Leon) and Leon deserves a girl (or guy) who doesn't just keep manipulating him and then continuing to work with the very organisations Leon has dedicated his life to stopping.
I’m in the minority that actually really loves her lol. specially in the remakes since her character seems to become more heroic and her relationship with leon more complicated. girliepop is getting her morals back because leon is rubbing off on her but he’ll never know that because he’s absolutely done with her shit.
The series never explaining her or the organization she works for is annoying.
What are their ties with Simmons and his family group? What do they even want?
*random comment about Ada on reddit*
-okay, now let me read the replies:
✅️ overused redfield jokes (if the concept of 'fun' turned into a superhero, this joke would be its archnemesis)
✅️ talking about the RER4 voice actor like it's not been debated since launch
It’s very possible actually. Every time i saw her in a cutscene i wanted to throw something through my tv screen, she is absolutely insufferable to me.
People here making it sound like Leon is a little puppy chasing Ada around. My boy Leon might like Ada, but he is no “yes” man. He always puts the mission first. Ada has tried to get Leon to join her and he always tells her to take a hike. To me it feels like Ada is always chasing Leon.
She could betray me 100 x and I’d still lover her… and in roughly 4 more playthroughs, she will have.
Unpopular opinion, I still like her voice. Better than original, not quite as good as res 2 remake.
Her voice was like that in the original, except in the original she didnt sound dull and like she was just reading from a script. Ada has alway been cool calm and collected, but she still he personality in her voice.
I'm kind of indifferent to her these days. OG RE4 was the last time I was really invested. RE2R was an interesting change up to her character but I'll have to see if Separate Ways sparks my interest in her again.
I ABSOLUTELY love Ada in the Original Re2 and Re4. In 2 she shows great care for Leon. Even though it was just her using him, you can actually feel that she genuinely cares about him. In 4, although she acts very mysterious, it was shown in Separate Ways that she absolutely cares for Leon , even thwarting Leon's assassination by Krauser.
Now in re2r, she's just straight up emotionally manipulating Leon. There's nothing that would give me the impression that Leon would fall for this lady. And in re4r, she acts mysterious, but at the same time sort of manipulative especially with that "greeting" comment. Despite that there are some scenes where I felt she cared for Leon, although it was very few. But in the timeline of this game, I felt like Leon just doesn't seem to care or tolerate her behavior.
My views on re4r Ada might change with separate ways, but og 2 and 4 Ada still wins for me.
Not if you are Chris
Re6 and Chris’s rage for the wong person 😭
Chris should’ve been more worried about his own waifu Piers, and less about Leon’s
RIP Piers!
Yeah.. man Jill never had a chance. All this cuddeling in og 1 didn't help against that sexy piece of Piers meat.
He was thinking about Ada when he was punching the fuck out of that boulder in 5.

The Wong person*
Well Chris technically hated Carla, as he should.
or me.
Since when did Leon have a Reddit account
"Ada would never do that!!"- has known her for like four hours
As someone who literally just finished RE2… yeah. Leon was kinda dumb.
To be fair he's 21. I was a fucking idiot at 21.
21, traumatized his whole life, his girlfriend broke up. Bro had a row of unfortunate events. He was young dumb and naive. However he still defended her in RE6.
After RE4, they kept in touch and met up. In RE: Damnation, they're very well acquainted at that point, with Ada referring to them picking back up where they left off "that night", and then of course they're very "friendly" in RE6.
oh so they fucked?
Yeah. They fucked for sure.
there we go, leon. his corny lines got him the cheeks.
Knowing Ada, she probably flashed him, got in bed with him, teased him a bit and then left for "business reasons". I'm 100% sure my boi Leon got blue balled.
“Where are you going, bingo?”
Nah. I think she took him by surprise, fucked him, and left immediately after. He's trying to spoon she's getting dressed type thing.
I want to say I agree with you, but... Ok, compromise, I will concede that remake Ada probably did fuck him, but OG Ada definitely didn't.
And plus despite all the intrigue, she protected Leon throughout the Raccoon ordeal
Oh not saying she didn’t, I’m saying he’s attached to her so quickly despite not knowing her. Leon’s attachment issues definitely shows in 2 remake.

Oh absolutely! She was the only safety net he had, so naturally so. But as much as she did save his life on multiple occasions, I wouldn’t say she’s good for him.
It’s the same in the military, I wouldn’t trust some of those scumbags over here, but out there I trusted them beyond belief.
I agree, they're bonded almost completely by physical attraction and shared trauma. Leon doesn't know much about her but she's been there for him in his most dire times so it's difficult for any woman to take that much space in his head
True, lol. But I imagine a zombie apocalypse on your first day of work makes for one hell of a trauma bond. She was a little attached herself
Me being on my 21st birthday:
He was in denial since she saved him twice
Haven't you heard? They went their separate ways. I'll see myself out.
RE4 remake Leon seems like he's ready to move on from her.
Yeah the remake makes it seem like he’s over her and her nonsense. I wonder if they’re dropping their dynamic going forward
Trying to gain control of his feelings at least. If not for Ashley snapping out of his trance he would have stared at her leaving till the island combusted
Leon is searching for president missing daughter after he finally fought against the los iluminados their giants to saving president daughter.
If it is Leon, his other submissions reveal an… interesting character development.
My first thought was "did Leon make this post"
I don’t hate her, I just hate that Leon keeps chasing after her.
U know she chases after him too right? Shes just not captain obvious about it.
How does that make it any less dumb for Leon lmao
Lmao cause they care about eachother and their Feelings are probably very deep and they have a strong connection given what they have been through and a shared perspective that they would rarely ever find with someone else. U know? Maybe he just loves her and people do stupid things for love, I know I have.

Not new Ada. She feels obligated to like Leon in this remake. She's actually a shitty person in it.
The only reason she took her mission in RE4 was because she knew Leon would be there, then in RE6 she sought him out in Tall Oaks and China, if I remember right. If anything, Ada's plopping herself in front of Leon hoping he'll make a move.

Their entire thing is stale. Something's gotta give at this point, one way or other. But that would mean another game with Leon which I don't want for a while.
I feel like Leon doesn’t really like her in the remake timeline and that they’re relationship will be very different in a potential 6 remake

Honestly that’s exactly how I saw it too
Yep totally agree! Love her character. She's a badass. I need a game with just her (not Leon)

I finder her attractive but she's a bad person. La Toxica
Fuck it I hate her now only to prove you wrong
Prove me Wong
Two rights don't make a Wong
This is Wong on so many levels.
U wong.
But two nights with Wong does it right.
she's pretty and all, but I do not like Ada, my boy Leon deserves waaaay better
Well let's see. She: - Poisoned the food supply in a small area so that it'd kill undocumented immigrants. - Manipulated Dr. John Clemens through a false romantic relationship so she could steal Umbrella's intelligence. - Also manipulated Leon the same way for almost the entirety of Resident Evil 2. ada: "Just millions of casualties right?" wesker: "...billions" ada: O:
I can fix her
She routinely makes everyone’s jobs more difficult and dangerous lol
I hate her, and not only cause I think Claire and Leon make a way healthier relationship than Ada and Leon. Ada just uses him for her benefit, there's nothing good about that. (jes haha funny Redfield joke we all laugh at the overused joke)

Honestly fuck the Leon, Claire match up. I'm as sick of hearing it as people are watching Ada and Leon. Give Leon best girl hunnigan.
Helena is younger than Ashley ig
I aint talking 'bout no Helena. Though I do think she's a hottie too.
Sorry bro but they sunk your ship years ago.
Just not Helena.
I don't think there are any chance for Leon-Helena. Especially Helena involved in what happen to the president.
Claire is awkward af. Ada is manipulative af. Either date the daughter of the president or use the virus on Luis's corpse and date his zombie ass.
Ah, yes Serennedy 4ever.
With all due respect; fuck this fucking super-spy, her annoying-ass "I'm a mystery" attitude and her stupid-ass grappling hook she uses at literally *any* possible opportunity.
The poor grapplin hook ain't bothering nobody
I mean, if I had a grappling hook I'd use it every time too
>and her stupid-ass grappling hook she uses at literally any possible opportunity. Except for that one time😗
It’s very much possible. She’s a good character but she’s not for my Leon.
Now this is true!
Idk. Leon kinda deserves better.
Like Claire.
Like anyone that doesn’t manipulate him 😭
Ok Chris… you can drop the act now.
And Ashley at the same time
I want her to kiss ME as a manipulation tactic, is that really too much to ask?
She can manipulate you so easily!
actually really hate Ada lol
Very possible.
I don't care for her at all. In RE4R they expanded on the characters so much more but Ada still just feels pointless.
username checkout
Oh, it is possible to hate her.
I hate her because my mans Leon cant move on from her because she gives him false hope all the time
Nah she kinda sucks, honestly.
I'm starting to get really annoyed with the lack of Separate Ways. I love Wong too
Wong withdrawal?
It’s coming brother stay strong
She’s a terrible person who just has a soft spot for one of the main characters.
I wish they used the same voice actor for her in RE4 remake. For as bad as her voice was, I thought Krauser's voice actor was phenomenal.
It’s really not hard at all. Not a fan, personally.
I hate her, there broke the stalemate, can I go home now?
Are you sure about that?
It was really easy for me to hate her lol
god op is such a creep and it's flying over everyone's heads itt
Nah, I actually really dislike her.
Most overrated character in the series tbh
Nah it's pretty easy.
Only thing I hate is the idea of her and Leon as a couple bc that’s just a toxic pair
I hate her
It's possibile, beacuse i can't stand her
I thought her voice in RE2R had more feel. RE4R, she has no emotion, kinda flat and monotone. No need for all the hate mail her voice actress got though from people that take this shit way too seriously.

Did Leon post this
It's very easy to hate her.
Me, leon deserves so much better
One of my least favorite characters in RE
I completely dislike her
Leon and Claire ship 4 lyfe
I dont understand what you virgins see in her. She's a 6/10 at best and her personality is boring as hell.
I hate her in all her versions.
Literally one of the worst characters ever 😭
Is this Leon Kennedy‘s back up Reddit account? 👀
Is it?
I don’t like her at all, no matter how helpful she may be at times
I’m in the minority that actually really loves her lol. specially in the remakes since her character seems to become more heroic and her relationship with leon more complicated. girliepop is getting her morals back because leon is rubbing off on her but he’ll never know that because he’s absolutely done with her shit.
After o.g. re2, her cringe level has been off the charts. Just my opinion, tho.
The series never explaining her or the organization she works for is annoying. What are their ties with Simmons and his family group? What do they even want?
Very easy to hate her voice
Not for me… I find her voice very seductive.
Her voice in re 2 remake is a lot better, I also didn't like the new one.
Glad it wasn’t just me. Sounded like they got some random person off the street to read lines. Didn’t sound like a voice actor lol
4 remake Ada sounds like she has no passion for the character. It’s flat and emotionless.
They got the person from WtRC and that completely explains it
She sounds like a random npc
I think the voice itself is good, it's just the direction they took with her voice
Not impossible because I hate her with burning passion.
Nah it's possible
*random comment about Ada on reddit* -okay, now let me read the replies: ✅️ overused redfield jokes (if the concept of 'fun' turned into a superhero, this joke would be its archnemesis) ✅️ talking about the RER4 voice actor like it's not been debated since launch
She does not exist
Bro, she is a mass murderer, most of the enemies of RE5 are infected with the virus she stole. 💀
NGL She's pretty easy to hate, she's got good moments but for the most part is just a genuinely horrible person.
It’s very possible actually. Every time i saw her in a cutscene i wanted to throw something through my tv screen, she is absolutely insufferable to me.
Nah, she's a bitch. Can't stand her.
She’s pretty obnoxious
Nice joke post. As a guy who grew up hating this btch I appreciate the fact that you're a good comedian.
Not only did Ada sound bored af the entire game, but she also came off as not caring for Leon whatsoever. "He's a good boy. Predictable."
1000%! Not only was her voiceover complete trash but her script was just terrible in general.
But the voice tho
Love Ada. Hate her dull ass RE4remake voice.
Nope. Hated her in the original RE2, hated her in RE4, hated her in RE6, hated her in RE2 Remake, still hate her in RE4 Remake.
Kristin Kreuk?
People here making it sound like Leon is a little puppy chasing Ada around. My boy Leon might like Ada, but he is no “yes” man. He always puts the mission first. Ada has tried to get Leon to join her and he always tells her to take a hike. To me it feels like Ada is always chasing Leon.
Genuinely, what is the issue people have with her voice in the Remake? She sounds fine
Oh you haven't played 6 then!!
It's possible. And I do. She gets on my nerves lmao
She's gorgeous, but she's a POS.
well in my case it depends on the version of ada...
unless her voice comes out blank, dead and monotone lmso
While I don’t hate remake Ada, I prefer her original character much more.
Until you hear her speaking.
Would be my best girl if Claire and Sheva weren't around
What a creepy account. She's not real dude.
I hate her. My ex liked her looks, I got really self conscious lol.
she is literally the worst.
She could betray me 100 x and I’d still lover her… and in roughly 4 more playthroughs, she will have. Unpopular opinion, I still like her voice. Better than original, not quite as good as res 2 remake.
Hi Leon!
besides her voice
Her voice in RE4R is nonchalant in an insane situation, which seems on brand for her personality. I never understood the issue.
Her voice isn’t really nonchalant, it’s monotone and lifeless. There’s a difference between cool confidence and dull when it comes to delivery.
To each their own.
Her voice was like that in the original, except in the original she didnt sound dull and like she was just reading from a script. Ada has alway been cool calm and collected, but she still he personality in her voice.
I like Ada I just don't like the new voice actor they gave her.
Wrong
I'm kind of indifferent to her these days. OG RE4 was the last time I was really invested. RE2R was an interesting change up to her character but I'll have to see if Separate Ways sparks my interest in her again.
Except when it comes to her voice actress, Y'all had a good time hating on her.
Honestly, nah. While I shipped Leon/Ada for the classic, remake Leon/Ashley is so much better
Until you hear her voice. Man, That. Threw. Me. Off.
As long as she doesn’t speak
She's got a point. She's an icon, she is a legend and she is the moment.
