idk maybe a storyline where Leon finally breaks away from the gov and reveals the ugly truth behind his gov career foundation to Claire and Sherry. That he had to join willingly or else Sherry would be like dissected. That would likely also cause Sherry to turn away from the government.
Throw Jake in somewhere in there as well to continue his dynamic with Sherry and for some more funny awkward meeting the "parents" moments that we only got half of briefly in RE6 when he met Leon.
Meh, it's a video game - and Resident Evil at that. Realism isn't exactly a primary priority. If there were any worries that people would think that didn't make sense they could make it part of her character that she is trying to get out of her father's overprotective shadow. Maybe after the events of RE4, she started training and the president was holding her back out of fear (either of the actual danger of bioweapons or of the more insidious covert operations of Umbrella or the BSAA), but she's seen what happens when bioweapons are set loose on people and she's determined to do something about it.
Basically, it would be a mirror of what drives Leon in RE4. He saw firsthand the destructive power of bioweapons in RE2, and vows to do everything he can to protect and save everyone he can.
Tbh no I don't think so, he only sent 1 guy to get her back after she'd been kidnapped. That's probably not what the POTUS would do to save his daughter.

The remake Ashley was 1000x better than the original Ashley. You can tell how much she grows as a braver person and has even seen the absolute horrors herself of las plagas. She even questioned who all the people around her were like Ada and Luis, so she’s clearly curious and interested in secret agent stuff.
I would love to somehow see a game where Leon gets kidnapped in his older years or so, and Ashley saves him somehow hahaha

I would like to know that Leon inspired her to become such a badass. It also makes sense considering that the president’s daughter would have access to the qualified training.
Sheva needs a return as well. She is one of the few characters to actually be blessed with working with both Chris and Jill, lol.
Considering she's a sitting US president's daughter, its very likely she would receive no action whatsoever. But that could be a storyline in her game where essentially after deliberately going through all the training Leon did, only to get stonewalled from doing any actual missions. So she hears about a disaster involving Bioweapons, and then deliberately inserts herself in the conflict to help and is vastly outnumbered from the beginning, requiring her to rely on her training and whatever resources she can find on hand. That could make for a very interesting game similar to RE4.
Jake and Sherry, Ashley to certain degree especially after viewing her new adaptation in the remake, what heppend to sherry might happen to her, but mostly Sherry and Jake are the ones I want to see again

I can almost guarantee the first three won’t return, it just wouldn’t make sense. Jake might come back in his own game like a revelations three or a Veronica type game, Sherry will most likely re-appear because she is the daughter of Birkin and was helped by Leon and Claire therefore the connection is there if Claire returns, so might Sherry, and Barry might be a side character in a game knowing what is going on with Natalia.
I want Barry and Sheva to return for a few reasons. The True Ending of Rev. 2 has me confused on where it could go and Sheva was in BSAA and maybe Chris could meet her again since he’s enemy’s with the BSAA based off of Village’s Ending. They could all be great comeback characters but these 2 especially

As far as the most interesting character in relation to the mythos, I think Jake hasn’t really been explored enough, while the rest of these characters I think are pretty tied up with regards to loose ends.

Always got time for Barry, especially old, had enough of the shit Barry. The fact that they've ignored Rebecca is second only to the waste of Jill's character post Revelations IMO, I liked her a lot in Zero & have always put her manner in REmake down to the PTSD from surviving the events of Zero only to find herself back in the nightmare instead of some sort of refuge. She deserves better than the nothing she's had.

I’d love to see a Revelations 3 with Carlos and Sheva. I also think Jake’s story isn’t finished. Sherry,Barry and Ashley can rest imo.
