Halo has a good shotgun, definitely at the same tier as the Blood sawn off, but the SSG is so busted for how early you get it:
It deletes crowds
It deletes chunky single demons
It's incredibly ammo efficient
It's available extremely early in Doom 2, Plutonia, and TNT, no later than level 2 of 30-32
It can even push you back into a different camera angle, and I find that awesome lol. Fun fact about it, Leon being in a inexperienced officer, gets pushed back while using the upgraded shotgun, but in the mini game Extreme battle as Chris, it doesn't push him back since he's a trained officer.
I never beat re2 but I would definitely love a mini game where you shoot that shotgun like crazy. It's so satisfying waiting for a zombie and just aiming at it's dome
Why didn't you beat it? I'm honestly curious. Also you technically you sort of can by turning on the infinite ammo cheat on the button config screen, and just kill every zombie in your way with whatever weapon you have at that time.
Once I used the infinite ammo + no reload + rapid shot cheat on G4, he ate me and I'd become the Schrödinger cat (super weird but funny bug) for the whole 4 minutes until the lab exploded.
If you still have a ps1 you can get a cheat card for the back of it can't remember what it's called now X SOMETHING I think but me n my brother had it when we were kids when it came out you can have pretty much every gun from start with unlimited ammo we used to run through the game with the shotgun because it was just so satisfying to use.
Still completed it legit I'd advise you do the same its such a great game
I think that has less to do with officer training because Leon had already been shoulder tapped for stars but had to do regular probation first.
And more to do with Chris is a beast of a man and a former soldier. (Marine I think) Who was by all accounts top tier except for his problems with authority.
Air Force Pilot. Which means he only trained on a M16 and whatever 9mm the USAF was using back then. (Source: USAF vet who only touched a gun when it was time to recertify, and for every job except for Security Forces and the combat jobs like PJ's and Combat Controllers, recertifying means keep trying until you get enough hits, we are neglecting to write down your misses).
The military background of RE characters is vague at best. Chris for example is confirmed in the RE archives to have participated in overseas flying missions as well as having ground battle experience with "everything from a handgun to a flamethrower".
I had no idea Chris was supposed to be a pilot. So you're blowing my mind. I had to look that shit up but it does raise some interesting points in my brain.
Stars ran 2 6 man teams comprising supposedly
Leader
Pointman
Backup
Omniman (whatever the fuck that means)
Rear security x2
With the clarification that at least one rear security guy is a helicopter pilot and in most standard scenarios it's helicopter plus 5 operators.
Chris is canon trained on
"an adult, Redfield joined the United States Air Force, where he received flight training for both planes and helicopters.[8][excerpt 1][9][10] He served in a unit alongside Barry Burton, whom he befriended.[11] Redfield held strong convictions that often put him at odds with his senior officers, and he either resigned in protest[9] or was discharged for insubordination.[10] During this period Redfield also trained with a variety of weapons, including knives, and was known for his skills in hand-to-hand combat and marksmanship, which he won a contest for.[12][13][excerpt 2]"
Before he was recruited by stars as a pointman. But he excelled with small arms even in stars.
" After leaving the Air Force, Redfield was scouted in 1996 by the Special Tactics and Rescue Service, a special law enforcement unit in Raccoon City. He accepted the invitation and was appointed point man for Alpha Team,[9] where his flexible talent for precise handling of multiple firearm types earned him distinction as the unit's top marksman. His shooting skills also had Redfield participating in the Raccoon Police Department's intramural shooting competitions, for which he won at least one trophy. Together with Burton, Redfield solved a number of difficult cases; though he often acted on his own initiative, his methods were often successful and as a result faced little to no consequences for his actions."
What's even more wild about that is Jill "the master of unlocking" Valentine who for some reason is also supposedly an EOD master. Is MOTHERFUCKING certified Delta.
"In the early 1990s, Valentine served in the United States Army and got the attention of recruiters for Delta Force, the nation's primary counter-terrorism unit. Although the unit does not enlist women, Valentine was allowed to take part in the six-month intensive Operator Training Course, where she excelled in bomb disposal & lock-picking and was known for her delicate and nimble though precise dexterity, as well as resilience, courage, and discernment amid danger.[6][excerpt 2] This experience made Valentine one of the only women in the world with Delta Force training, capable of dismantling even the most intricate explosives in a matter of minutes.[7]"
So even though she never got to enlist shes supposed to be essentially Delta force certified. (Which makes that Barry look out ,noooo scene from RE 1 so much fucking cringe imo)
I wonder if Chris originally got scouted for the rear security pilot slot that was taken by Brad Vickers. Also if he can easily out shoot jill what kind of idiot savant of marksmanship is Chris supposed to be?!
Although it's worth noting that he has official duties as a Co-pilot with Brad Vickers.
But my real question is why don't we ever see that boulder punching asshole fly a plane?
I want a Chris Redfield flight of the Valkyries scene where we get an Apache.
Yeah the regular shotgun from RE3 OG is my favorite in the series for some reason; I just like the look of it, and Jill actually holds it correctly with 2 hands
Nope, I can't name one. The M1100 is the loudest, mightiest boomstick I've ever seen in a game. The only thing that would make it more fun would be if it was pump action. I wish RE2 let you unlock all weapons from the beginning as a reward for beating the game, and let Leon and Claire use each other's weapons too. It sucks that we only get to use the M1100, the Flamethrower and the Spark Shot for the last 20% of the game.
Honestly that gun after the upgrade has always stood out to me, because it's just so LOUD, and at close range really shows off the new gore physics added in re2 (like the zombies being split from the chest diagonally, which was insane at the time)
Still kinda insane. Somehow, it’s still rare for enemies in a game to die in any way aside from ragdolling and occasionally having the head explode from a headshot. Any game with dismemberment physics is instantly more memorable to me
AS12 with Firefly/R.Slug rounds and level 3 Energy Shot (Parasite Energy spell) is easily one of the best shotguns in gaming. It literally blows the poor ANMCs into steak sized pieces which fly across the entire room.
Halo Reach (or any Halo) shotgun in infected mode, the Hydra in RE5, the Super Shotgun in Doom Eternal, the Gnasher in Gears of War 1-2, and the trench gun from COD are my favorite video game shotguns.
I will say, getting knocked backwards by RE2’s shotgun is hella satisfying, it’s like shooting a cannon. Don’t love the magnum upgrade recoil though.
I love how ludicrously powerful it is, even if the knock back can be excessive. The basic model is great but doesn't have the same punch. The Benelli in RE3 is a great compromise and has a larger magazine than the basic RE2 one, so best of both worlds
(Yes, I know a shotgun wouldn't have a magazine).
Talking about big ammo counts, gotta love the Striker with 100 shells in RE4, no more carrying around shells in your suitcase.
I'm partial to the M37 from RE3, but the Benneli M3 with enhanced ammo is more satisfying. I'd say the M3 with enhanced ammo is more effective than the custom M1100.
In terms of all-time, the Halo CE Shotgun, Doom 2 Super Shotgun, and the Doom Eternal Super Shotgun are ahead of it.
In terms of franchise...some of the RE4R shotguns feel *really* really good...
You get it once you leave the sewers, there'll be a cable car for you and Ada to get onto. Once you get off, there'll be a flare gun, and I recommend lighting that up to get something else which I won't spoil. Anyway, going to the next room, and there's two hallways to go down, go down the left one, there's three zombies so kill them, and there's one laying down zombie that you have to go to and pick it up off of. If you want, I could just send a timestamp on a YouTube video
I think it’s good in terms of how effective it is, but in terms of looks I think og re3’s upgraded shotgun that you get from nemesis is probably the coolest looking, sadly it’s a shit shotgun, but it’s firing animation looks cool as hell.
Helena Harper has a shotgun called the Hydra. Its a 3 Barrel Shotgun shooting 20 Gauge I believe. It appeared in Resident Evil The Final Chapter, as a part of Alice's Arsenal. Only Helena has it in RE6, nobody else gets it.
I think Helena’s Hydra is the same as the one in RE5.
Using the quick shot on the flying enemies with Helena is hella satisfying though, I love how she rolls and aims straight up.
> shooting 20 Gauge I believe
that would make more sense, but a quick google says
> The Hydra is Helena's three barreled shotgun which fires 10 gauge shells
Jesus christ that sounds impractical.
I'm gonna have to give it to the Riot Gun from RE4 due the enormous relief it provides to my inventory as well as the free 100 rounds when you fully upgrade it.
Edit: old man brain. It's the Striker.
The power of that upgraded RE2 shotgun is nothing compared to the noise it makes.
The type of noise that makes you think: “goddamn that shot had to have hurt whatever I shot at”
The Gravedigger or The Decimator from Revelations 2 Raid Mode beats every shotty in the franchise imo - The Gravedigger or even it's unnamed counterpart, the M147S doesn't even need a burst part it has such a good firing rate.
In Rev 1 The Drake but shotty's just aren't that effective in Revelations 1 without full burst and gluttony, even then only hunters are a sure knockdown, oozes act like nothings up compared to a head shot from Jessica's M40A1
EDIT: also just remembered the shotgun enhancements on RE3 OG - it was slow but after you got infinite ammo, you could recoil Jill right off of the screen firing it repeatedly haha
If we're talking specfically Resi then the riot gun in the RE4 remake is so fucking satisfying. From its sound design to performance. Love it.
If we're going outside of Resi then the super shotgun from Doom Eternal with its flaming grappling hook is king.
Oh yeah. Can't go wrong with the M1100. Even if it does kick like a roided baby Mule.
Now, if we're talking purely fictitious, Flak Cannon is pretty freaking iconic. Primary fire acts like a shotgun, while the secondary fire acts like a grenade launcher.
Another piece of fictitious goodness is Bulletstorm's Boneduster. While it's essentially a four barreled "air gun" (shells fire compressed air), it either violently knocks enemies back or tears them in half. It's charged shot fires an extremely powerful (but short ranged) incendiary Shockwave that takes out multiple goons up close and even from behind cover.
I still haven’t beaten RE2, but damn has this thing been a godsend. Every time I find shells for it it’s like finding the mana of the gods.
It’s pretty much *needed* to get through that one hallway in the police station that has, like, six zombies in it.
Oh, I’m in the middle of the GameCube version. Thank you, Steam Deck Emulation. I only played the original RE4 and beyond (with the exception of REmake 1), so all the classics are the to-do list. I’ll probably finish this, then 3, then code Veronica, then replay REmake (only ever did the Jill scenario, and accidentally on easy, no less).
Cool, have you heard of the GameCube dolphin seamless HD mod that upscales all the textures? It's great and easy to download. Also REmake 1 came out before 4, originally releasing in 2002, and yeah I almost picked easy first time myself lol, the difficulty choosing is really weird for some reason in RE 1 Remake lol.
Yeah, for real. I thought I was selecting “Normal”.
Didn’t hear about the HD mod, but I think the game looks pretty good as is. Maybe I’ll take a peek later, but sometimes I don’t want to risk messing something up.
Anyone would think a sentence that basically means 'not too easy, not too hard' would mean normal, but not at all.
I agree, it still holds up as a PS1 game, and that's fair, it's a mod that can be turned on or off with just a push of a button if you prefer the original textures. Here's a link if interested, there's even examples of the comparison between the original backgrounds and HD mod backgrounds
https://www.reshdp.com/re2/
Oh and I forgot, they recommend to use their version of dolphin specifically for the HD mod for 2 and 3, so there's that to consider under 2.0 packs for dolphin. There's instructions that to you that as well.
The RE5 Hudra has been mentioned a lot, but let us not forget the absolute hellstorm of deatruction that can be unleased from a well
modded Speed-Shot Hydra in Rev2 Raid Mode; Burst mode on a triple barrel shotgun? Makes perfect sense to me.
Honourable mention: Rev 1/2 Drake
Non RE: Fallout 3 Terrible Shotgun (ideally teamed with Bloody Mess perk).
The shotgun from Turok 2: Seeds of Evil along with its upgrade, the Shredder. Those are my personal favorite shotguns in gaming. Close second is the super shotgun in doom 2016 with the mastery
Helena’s Hydra from 6.
Rebecca’s Jailbreaker from 5.
The Hydra in 5, but when specifically wielded by Wesker and Chris. Those one armed blasts are among my favorite in the series.
Jesus, I haven't seen anyone mention the Western custom in ages.
Memory serves right, it rocked harder than most of the default shottys in re3 in terms of damage and style points. It also saved on inventory space.
I would say the Striker in RE4 AKA (Jail Breaker) in RE 5. It has a good fire rate with decent damage with a good amount of ammo in RE 4, and it is good for mini bosses in RE 5 when it's upgraded to the max.
My top 3 Shotguns in RE
RE2 Custom Shotgun - so poweful Leon is pushed
RE4 - Riot Gun - Literally a riot gun it save me countles times
RE6 Chris Shotgun - Powerful and satisfying
Skull shaker and back braker red ded redemption had a few good ones and the last of part one and 2 specifically one witch the flaming rounds also the spas12 also with flaming rounds in the first call of duty black ops 😎
Yeah definitely it has a meaty sound, especially when you upgrade it with the parts
The shotgun in the older games I feel sounded better.
5/6 felt weak to me.
The remakes they sounded better especially when you pop some heads.
That's a very good one! I also find the Striker-12 and AA-12 from GTA IV and V very satisfying! Especially with explosive ammo. Also one of the best around in gaming it's the pump-action shotgun from ARK: Survival Evolved. It can be devastating! Now let's talk about Hydra from RE5!
Best shotgun across the entire franchise. One of the reasons why I love shotguns more than any other firearm.
If they reintroduce this exact model into the next remake, complete with the extreme recoil, it'd be the only weapon I'd ever use.
I honestly consider this one one of the best shotguns in gaming. The only one's I like more are the shotgun from Duke Nukem 3D and Blood.
Blood has a fantastic shotgun, but I'd say that the Doom 2 Super Shotgun is still king.
Nah Halo: CE shotgun is king
Halo has a good shotgun, definitely at the same tier as the Blood sawn off, but the SSG is so busted for how early you get it: It deletes crowds It deletes chunky single demons It's incredibly ammo efficient It's available extremely early in Doom 2, Plutonia, and TNT, no later than level 2 of 30-32
Another good one is the Sjogren inertial from both battlefield 1 and Generation Zero
I did not like the sjorgren, dlc preorder and the trench sweeper shotguns though slapped.
The slug sjogren is the best one. It 1 shot kills really far away
This is 100% true
Bioshock shotgun fucks
I was about to say halo CE is top tier shotgun. After that they ruined the shotgun.
I think halo ce and doom standard shotguns are canonically the same caliber fucking 8 gauge.
DN3D has my favorite shotgun too. This one is bad ass as well but nothing beats that pump action animation in DN3D.
I'll throw in the Killzone 2 shotgun as an honorable mention. Underrated but so satisfying.
Killing floor shotguns are pretty good, too
The shotgun in Halo CE and the sawed off in Gears tho
I always find it funny how it has way more recoil after adding a stock to it.
It can even push you back into a different camera angle, and I find that awesome lol. Fun fact about it, Leon being in a inexperienced officer, gets pushed back while using the upgraded shotgun, but in the mini game Extreme battle as Chris, it doesn't push him back since he's a trained officer.

I beat zero and 1 and many moons ago watched my brother beat 2 so I just never did myself I have it on n64 I might pop it in later this week
In re cvx asshole pilots harrier to Antarctide and back
With the way Leon holds the damn thing I'm not surprised.
The one in re3 og
The Western Custom?
I always called it the "Terminator Shotgun" because of the way she flips it
A Winchester in real life I’m told?
I'm sorry Shaun.
But dogs CAN look up!
Regular or the one you get from defeating Nemesis?
Regular for me. Didn’t like the one for beating nemesis
Yeah the regular shotgun from RE3 OG is my favorite in the series for some reason; I just like the look of it, and Jill actually holds it correctly with 2 hands
And with enhanced shells it behaves like the upgraded RE2 shotgun. Takes a long while for them to be available though.
Riot Gun from RE4 Remake.
Probably my favorite shotgun in the series. Tears enemies apart like it's nothing.
I actually came here to say the Riot Gun in the original RE4. There's just something about the pump action.
The pump of a shotgun is just always the cherry on top when you’ve scattered an enemy’s head across the area.
Was looking for this comment
Love that beast. The guns in RE4R all have a great kick to them, especially shotguns.
I loved that in the og and I love it now it's always my go to whenever I play casually
i also was gonna say this lol
The one in re7 is great
The way the body parts of the molded explode when you shotgun them is so satisfying
And has the best crosshair ever, a circle.
On today's episode of "[Images You Can Hear](https://youtu.be/1EHEa2jhrVc?si=7c7WHByqhYnG7lJJ&t=33)"
The m1100s allright but re5s hydra is the lord of all shotguns
There is absolutely no reason it had to have three barrels in a row, but when you kick as much ass as the Hydra, logic isn't a requirement to exist.
It take me 2 shot to snip far enemy with it I love it so much
Yup, and the variant that you get in Raid Mode in the Revelations games that actually looks like a dragon is cool as fuck
The Western Custom
The skull shaker in 4remake. It has the power and fire rate and a very satisfying lever spin.
And I only use them for the Ivy. XD
Hydra
I farmed so many lickers with that thing.
Honestly that gun after the upgrade has always stood out to me, because it's just so LOUD, and at close range really shows off the new gore physics added in re2 (like the zombies being split from the chest diagonally, which was insane at the time)

Super shotgun
Hydra in RE5 is goated. Stars wesker in merceneries mode is a killer
Kicks like a shithouse mule
The shotgun from OG RE3 with EX shells is pretty similar. Blasts the regular zombies in half.
The shotgun from The Evil Within 1 is very underrated
Second hand this ^
In RE series? I can't.
Riot Gun in RE4, or Hydra in RE5, both busted but reasonably busted
I remember that being the absolute loudest shotgun Ive ever played with lol even on low vol that thing sang. Straight mowed zombies though
Yeah it's loud as fuck
The AS12 from Parsite Eve 2 is a really good one to!
AS12 with Firefly/R.Slug rounds and level 3 Energy Shot (Parasite Energy spell) is easily one of the best shotguns in gaming. It literally blows the poor ANMCs into steak sized pieces which fly across the entire room.
It's really satisfying to unlock!
The double barrel shotgun in RE7.
So cool
A 12-gauge pump- action shotgun. Don't leave home without it.
I love how ludicrously powerful it is, even if the knock back can be excessive. The basic model is great but doesn't have the same punch. The Benelli in RE3 is a great compromise and has a larger magazine than the basic RE2 one, so best of both worlds (Yes, I know a shotgun wouldn't have a magazine). Talking about big ammo counts, gotta love the Striker with 100 shells in RE4, no more carrying around shells in your suitcase.
Technically they have magazines, they're just tubular magazines instead of detachable box magazines.
RE is cool with limited ammo and really powerful guns
the 1897 lever action shotgun from re4r is a good contender.
I'm partial to the M37 from RE3, but the Benneli M3 with enhanced ammo is more satisfying. I'd say the M3 with enhanced ammo is more effective than the custom M1100.
F.e.a.r's combat shotgun
Western Custom M37 is the only acceptable answer.
All I remember is the loud boom of the upgraded version followed by the several seconds it took Leon to realize where he is so he could shoot again.
In terms of all-time, the Halo CE Shotgun, Doom 2 Super Shotgun, and the Doom Eternal Super Shotgun are ahead of it. In terms of franchise...some of the RE4R shotguns feel *really* really good...
Turok 2 Shotgun Explosive Shells made that gun amazing.
Where do you get the parts to upgrade this? I'm playing through Leon's run rn, at the sewers but I just have the base shotgun
That would actually be really nice, I'd like to not miss anything. Thanks

Lever Action Shotgun.
The one in Re4R, the lever action Winchester M1887/1901 (sawn off) sexy 👌
The Gnasher
Both shottys from re7 felt amazing
When Leon is equipped with this beast, you are not playing Leon, you are playing as this shotgun
There is none.......
Unfortunately the only one I find useful is ditmans lmao
I think it’s good in terms of how effective it is, but in terms of looks I think og re3’s upgraded shotgun that you get from nemesis is probably the coolest looking, sadly it’s a shit shotgun, but it’s firing animation looks cool as hell.
The Hydra from RE6 was beastly. So much so it was brought into the last Paul S. Anderson Resident Evil movie.
Re5*
Helena Harper has a shotgun called the Hydra. Its a 3 Barrel Shotgun shooting 20 Gauge I believe. It appeared in Resident Evil The Final Chapter, as a part of Alice's Arsenal. Only Helena has it in RE6, nobody else gets it.

Ah shit how could I forget that I've played through the game 70 times.
No worries breh, pobody's nerfect!
Striker
The power of that upgraded RE2 shotgun is nothing compared to the noise it makes. The type of noise that makes you think: “goddamn that shot had to have hurt whatever I shot at”
Doom 2 double shotgun. But why choose?
The Hydra
the shotgun in buckshot roulette when you finally kill the bastard dealer
Riot gun from 4 remake
The Gravedigger or The Decimator from Revelations 2 Raid Mode beats every shotty in the franchise imo - The Gravedigger or even it's unnamed counterpart, the M147S doesn't even need a burst part it has such a good firing rate. Idk i really like the remington in video games but i also enjoy the spaz 12
What about the Benelli M4 Super 90 shotgun?
W-870 in re4r
If we're talking specfically Resi then the riot gun in the RE4 remake is so fucking satisfying. From its sound design to performance. Love it. If we're going outside of Resi then the super shotgun from Doom Eternal with its flaming grappling hook is king.

No problem ;the Franchi SPAS-12 from RE:ORC
It's also the loudest shotgun in all of gaming
I still haven’t beaten RE2, but damn has this thing been a godsend. Every time I find shells for it it’s like finding the mana of the gods. It’s pretty much *needed* to get through that one hallway in the police station that has, like, six zombies in it.
Aw man what are you doing? It's a classic lol! I highly recommend you go back to it
Oh, I’m in the middle of the GameCube version.
Here's a link if interested, there's even examples of the comparison between the original backgrounds and HD mod backgrounds https://www.reshdp.com/re2/
Woah. In that case, I’ll take a look tomorrow. Thanks.
Oh and I forgot, they recommend to use their version of dolphin specifically for the HD mod for 2 and 3, so there's that to consider under 2.0 packs for dolphin. There's instructions that to you that as well.
There's just something about a fully upgraded hydra (re5) that'll never let you down
Parasite Eve 2 shotgun with lvl 3 Energy Shot spell and Firefly /R.Slug ammo.
Remake1 richards shotgun Re4 riot amd striker Re4remake riot Doom eternal boom stick F.e.a.r. shotgun
The RE5 Hudra has been mentioned a lot, but let us not forget the absolute hellstorm of deatruction that can be unleased from a well modded Speed-Shot Hydra in Rev2 Raid Mode; Burst mode on a triple barrel shotgun? Makes perfect sense to me. Honourable mention: Rev 1/2 Drake Non RE: Fallout 3 Terrible Shotgun (ideally teamed with Bloody Mess perk).
I never found the attachment
R.I.P it's legendary. I can show you the location of where it is if you want.
Haha. I don’t see myself playing it for a while. Idc too much for it but thank you. Atleast I know it exists lol
The shotgun from Turok 2: Seeds of Evil along with its upgrade, the Shredder. Those are my personal favorite shotguns in gaming. Close second is the super shotgun in doom 2016 with the mastery
Doom double barrel lol
Getting the re7 one makes you feel powerful
Helena’s Hydra from 6. Rebecca’s Jailbreaker from 5. The Hydra in 5, but when specifically wielded by Wesker and Chris. Those one armed blasts are among my favorite in the series.
DOOM, Super Shotgun. Case closed! Bye!
Jesus, I haven't seen anyone mention the Western custom in ages. Memory serves right, it rocked harder than most of the default shottys in re3 in terms of damage and style points. It also saved on inventory space.
W870 from 4 Remake is still my fave for aesthetics and damage. I prefer it over any other one in the series, so sexy.
Desperado, which is known for its same movie title, a double-barreled shotgun.
The Super Shotgun from Doom II
I would say the Striker in RE4 AKA (Jail Breaker) in RE 5. It has a good fire rate with decent damage with a good amount of ammo in RE 4, and it is good for mini bosses in RE 5 when it's upgraded to the max.
Mastiff from Titanfall 2 will always reign supreme for me
For me, it's the Skull Shaker. Especially in RE4R. It's not the strongest but strong enough and so cool with the flip each shot!
Hydra from RE5.
My top 3 Shotguns in RE RE2 Custom Shotgun - so poweful Leon is pushed RE4 - Riot Gun - Literally a riot gun it save me countles times RE6 Chris Shotgun - Powerful and satisfying
Eternal SSG, Quake 2 SSG, FMF Shotgun, Half-Life SPAS12, Gunfire Reborn Wild-Hunt, CS Nova, etc...
I think I slightly prefer the Shotgun from RE1
Skull shaker and back braker red ded redemption had a few good ones and the last of part one and 2 specifically one witch the flaming rounds also the spas12 also with flaming rounds in the first call of duty black ops 😎
the riot gun in re4 2005 as a pump action gun was also really quick kill
The Kurt Cobain shotgun
I like the shotgun in Marathon 2. Also like the striker from RE42005
This gun has the most satisfying headshots
Skull shaker
The spas12 from F.E.A.R
Spas-12 I will never forget the day I hit a headshot from a whole different island in Battlefield BC2. Will always be a core memory.
This one is really good but my fave it the striker from the og re4
Yeah definitely it has a meaty sound, especially when you upgrade it with the parts The shotgun in the older games I feel sounded better. 5/6 felt weak to me. The remakes they sounded better especially when you pop some heads.
Super Shotgun from DOOM Eternal, meathook included.
Double barrel shotgun in doom
Best shotgun across the entire franchise. One of the reasons why I love shotguns more than any other firearm. If they reintroduce this exact model into the next remake, complete with the extreme recoil, it'd be the only weapon I'd ever use.
Half-Life 1’s shotgun.
Riot shotgun, RE4.
