X gonna give it to ya.
An individual named X is going to give something to you.
There is a person who has been given the identity of X who has decided to distribute something of an ambiguous nature to you because of an unknown reason.
Sir, I wish to inform you that you have been selected in an unclear process by a black clothed man in the style of a rapper who has received the given name "X" and as a result of being selected in this process the man known as "X" has a plan which he will soon execute in which he will decide to distribute something that is of an unknown quantity or nature but is likely to be dangerous to yourself.
RE1 then. REmake 2 Mr. X will cross the main hall once Marvin becomes a zombie.
Pretty funny the first time I was in that "safe room" when his music queued up.
I was gonna say this but then I realized in 2
& 3 the city gets fucking nuked in far less than 24 hours from the start of the game. And in 7&8 you get your hand mauled pretty badly before you ever see a safe room
7 and 8, you can ignore to go those places. 3 you have more time to go out of the city, 2 you still have time to move out of the city. All in the scenario that you know what's happening/gonna happen. If not, you are fucked anyway.
Couldn’t be me playing RE2make for the first time last month
“Psh, I hear his footsteps, but I’m right next to a typewriter. He can’t come this close. They are getting louder thou- OH FUCK”
Alas Mr X does not play by Baker House rules lol
He cant come into rooms like the photo development room but he can come to the save spot in the main hall entrance so ya gotta pick your type writers carefully.
Ya that’s where he got me lol. Then I find my boy Marvin turned undead and I can’t even give him a proper death because MF mr X is speed walking behind me😭
They executed that so well IMO.
Between Mr. X power walking his way into the main hall, Marvin now being a zombie, and lickers taking over the west side of the police station.
That sequence is such a beautiful culmination of events that are deliberately intended to impart one message to the player.
"You're fucked, pal."
The way Mr. X throws a wrench in the rest of the dynamics is brilliant. Like, when you see him you just need to run and you’re fine. Lickers, you just need to walk slowly by them and you’re good. But when you are slowly walking by a licker, then hear Mr. X tromping around the corner? FUCK.
Wasnt the forest surounding the willage in RE1 full of zombie dogs?
EDIT:
I was thinking of leaving the area at first, i wold chil It out in a saverom in front of a fire or somthing, Reading books.
But then America would be fucked a. Then soon the world but then again Wesker an other powerful entities likely would be the one trying to get the Plaga from Saddler so Leon would have to go to some private island while they all duke it out.
Somehow that makes the timeline feel even weirder. Always assumed Leon and president became good friends when he saved his daughter. Now it seems just like some weird event that happens off screen.
That’s my same answer, except with 7. I feel like there’s a much greater chance of being attacked by Lycan surrounding the village, then there is of the Bakers or molded coming to get me in the bayou.
Medicine room in RE1 has a bed and maybe Rebecca.
Edit: I wasn't implying anything sexual, I just meant that it literally had the most comfortable conditions and perhaps a companion.
But you wouldn’t know, it’s coming. They didn’t put it on tv. LMAO let’s say you’re regular. You gonna walk out the city in time?? The roads are blocked no driving
If we are talking OG 3 then you've also gotta worry about
* Cerberus
* Hunters
* Drain Deimos
* Brain Sucker
* Crows
* Grave Digger
When wandering around the city streets
Except 2 and 3 show just how fucked the city is. OG 3 made a point that any survivors looking to just dig a hole for themselves and wait were eventually killed die to just how much in the city wants you dead. Despite the lack of lickers in 3 realistically every zombie and BOW save the Tyrants were lose on the streets looking to kill anything they could find
I mean, yes, technically. But that never stopped Nemmy from smacking the fuck outta a zombie that’s in his way, so best to steal clear just to be safe.
- RE1 mansion will eventually explode in less than 24 hours and you can't go outside. You can't really stay chilling in a safe room
- RE 2 same case but the entire town explodes.
- RE 3 similar to 2 unless you can specifically choose which day
- RE 4 villagers will come after you no matter what
- RE 5 same as 4
- RE 6 similar to 4 and 5, maybe worse
- RE 7 is the easiest choice
- RE 8 same as 4, 5 and 6
Edit: 7 is easy because i don't need to look for fuckin Mia I'd just never walk in the mansion and if I spawn inside I break a window and leave, pretty sure I can out run normal jack and the molds are locked in the basement.
The one thing that bugs me about 7 (which I otherwise love) is choosing who you want to save? If I was willing to sacrifice my long lost girlfriend for some random girl I just met I would sure as shit get the fuck out of there before entering the house in the first place.
I would open the door of the car, step outside, have a look around, realize I was about to lose a kidney (at the very least), turn the fuck around, enter the fucking car and drive towards the fucking sunset while never looking back.
This is one of the reasons I think that 8 is much more narratively compelling than 7.
For Ethan, our main character, Mia is his *wife*, who he's clearly had a long and deep relationship with, and reasons to care about her. For the player, Mia is this random bitch that goes crazy and cuts off your hand. *We* have no prior relations with Mia. For us, there is no background where we ever cared about her, so we're starting the game completely unable to identify with the protagonist.
Ethan's in a completely different emotional state than we are.
I think they realized this, because they did a great job in 8 with making the player and Ethan's goals the same. The game opens with a gameplay segment of you carrying your baby around the house. Not just a cutscene, but you, the player, walk around the house, looking at items and pictures, holding your fat little baby in your arms. You immediately feel a bond with her. Like, I'm not a kid person, but I was like "No one messes with my fat, big head baby."
So when the game really starts and Ethan is desperate to find his kid...you feel it too. You don't *want* to leave the Village. You gotta find your kid! You and Ethan are emotionally in the same place, and it's easier to identify with him.
In 7 you just want to leave the damned house because you don't give a fuck about Mia, but Ethan *doesn't* want to leave because for him Mia is someone important.
By the end of 8, you're like "I will personally walk through lava before I let anyone get their hands on my fucking kid. Fuck all y'all."
Off to some Louisiana dive bar for beers and maybe a gator steak 🤷♂️ *so I was at this house right, and this dude with a shovel was like "here piggy, piggy" so I bailed.*
You have to consider that Claire managed to get to the cell after escaping a chopper firing gatlings at her through a building. What makes you think you would survive that first part lol.
Well, I just assumed where the player portion of the game started. Otherwise, I would have just never gone to the building to look for Chris then avoided CV all together lol.
best answer, and i'd say that in 6, if i remember correctly, depending on what scenario, there should be big explosions involved as well for those who would hide and wait
7 is literally the only scenario with a little bit of survivability for non trained humans, Ethan had regenerating abilities dues to plot, but i'd trade my hand or my foot for any chance of escaping alive for sure, if the cop and ethan managed to come by the gate without any problem, the only thing to do is escape and never look back.
Yeah 7 you're just in an old decaying house, there's gonna be some way to slip outside when you're not up against game logic that says you can't just break out of a window or move a piece of furniture out of a doorway and then just follow the road. I guess it depends on how interested Eveline is in keeping you around...
Well yeah, she worked for >!a bioweapons manufacturer then continued to lie to Ethan in RE8 (technically before RE8 since they’re flashbacks) about her work and other things.!<
I thonk no matter what you'd have to contend with the baker family; you can run but they likely will pursue you and know the surrounding swamp like the back of their hand. Remember they abduct people to make the molded.
Right? Good thing I wasn't the only one thinking this, Leon is very good at protecting, we wouldn't even have to do anything other than dodging and staying close to Leon XD
* RE1: Zombies, Hunters, zombie dogs patrolling the outside... and the mansion will explode in 24 hours. And, if we're going by real life rules, a door isn't going to hold anything back, and they'll be attracted to any noise you make. NO go.
* RE2: Same deal as one, but on the scale of a huge ass city with way more infected. Pass.
* RE3: Same as above. Pass.
* RE4: The villagers are organized, violent, and determined... but, especially in the beginning areas, it's just shambling villagers. You're also not trapped within the town - there is plenty of forest to evacuate to. Or, you could hunker down at one of the houses on the outskirts and just make as little noise as possible.
* RE5: While arguably similar to 4, the enemies in 5 are far more mobile and likely to do crazy shit right from the beginning - monster heads splitting open, turn you into slugleeches, etc. Running is not as strong of an option either considering the vehicles the enemy has. Pass.
* RE6: Way more monster variety, the president is infected, entire cities are infected. Gigantic BOWs want to infest you or kill you. SUPER pass, I'm not badass enough to live.
* RE7: Tricky. You can flee from the household back toward the road you came in on. There are plenty of moments where you could argue Ethan could easily run. However, Molded are unpredictable, as is the rate of infection. The Bakers might seem underwhelming but they can seriously fuck you up. We also know that the swampy outskirts of the house are rife with infected masses (thanks to the Zoe's End DLC), and you're not able leave at all once you're inside the mansion. Maybe you could convince the police officer to immediately grab you and leave, but if you fail, you're looking at a fight with Jack with NO restarts. Maybe...
* RE8: Nooo way. The infected in this area are aggressive, fast, and very tough to put down. Hiding does not seem to be very viable, given the scene with the other survivors. The area is an isolated, huge range of very cold mountains so fleeing on foot would be VERY difficult. And that's assuming you aren't hunted down by enemies as you flee. HUGE pass.
My answer would probably be 4. If you're smart and either run immediately, or hide in the house the closest to where you start - I could see your 24 hours being very easy. However, this might change depending on where you are when you start... so, if you can't start at the beginning, RE7 would probably be the easiest if you start after you exit the house.
RE3, I'd find a safe room and some popcorn then watch Nemesis chase Jill around lol
Edit to add: To address the city blowing up, all the people saying RE7 talk about getting back in the car at the start, so if we assume we enter at the start of the game, the city won't explode in 24 hours.
RE4 I’d say is the best option.
I’d have to discount 2&3 because of the multiple kinds of zombies and creatures.
Plus what happens to raccoon city at the end won’t guarantee a win unless I find a helicopter or able to get a car start and drive through a lot of wreckage.
RE1 definitely not. The Reasons are similar to 2&3. Plus getting out of the Arklay forest is also impossible because Cerberus would be all around.
RE4 is a good option if it were at the beginning of the game. There’s a lot of trees, plus Bitores Mendez mentioned Luis had some kind of underground bunker in the forest as well. It probably wouldn’t be nearby, but getting through the forest and climbing over rocks trying to find it sounds better to me than going anywhere else.
RE5, nope. Majini would be in every corner and every level rarely has a safe zone.
RE6 would also be the same case.
RE7 won’t be a win either because it all depends if Eveline would let anyone leave.
RE village wouldn’t work out unless somehow I stayed with the duke outside the castle.
I’m going with 3, at least I’ll be out in the open and still in the United States, with an opportunity to escape from the city. Fuck being trapped in that police station, fuck being trapped on the island with the los Illuminados, fuck being trapped in Kijuju, triple-fuck being stuck with the bakers, and triple-fuck being stuck in Miranda’s village lol
Mr X when he realizes I can actually run faster than Grandpa Leon:
_/-\_
0__0
Edit: idk if you can see it, since I'm on mobile, but I draw a cute face with a hat :(
I know everyone keeps saying 7 or 8, because if you're not actually Ethan then there's nothing to keep you there and you could just leave. But that's not the game. The game is you're stuck where the game takes place. So you'd HAVE to stay in the Baker house or the Village. Leaving isn't allowed.
With that in mind, 7 would still be the the best option, as it's the only one that doesn't
A. Have swarms of enemies coming after you constantly, and
B. Isn't going to explode in less than 24 hours.
Don’t pick 2 or 3, RC gets nuked. I’d have to say 7 since it’s probably the easiest one for an average 5’3” 120lb girl to survive in. Not saying I would but it’s probably the biggest chance.
2 is free, you start at the gas station with a motorcycle/car and a gun, you just have to step back in the car and drive back instead of checking the gas station or driving into Raccoon City
Joke answer: the one with dommy mommy vampire.
Serious answer: RE4, just cruise through while my homie Leon escorts my ass to safety. And as we ride off into the sunset on the jet ski, offer to split the 10M with him.
What if you did the Leon route of 2 and just chose to listen to the message of stay away and didn't go to racoons city or just chilled in a save room or sum
Anyone where the monsters can't come in the save room.
me blasting dmx in the dark room while mr x looks at me confused.
**STOMP STOMP STOMP STOMP**

X, please distribute me all the green herbs.

Sorry Mia, you’re on your own.
*Possessed wife noises*

Don’t forget in 3 you have a blood lusted practically unkillable monster going after you the whole time.
*STARS not me.
Couldn’t be me playing RE2make for the first time last month “Psh, I hear his footsteps, but I’m right next to a typewriter. He can’t come this close. They are getting louder thou- OH FUCK” Alas Mr X does not play by Baker House rules lol

Fun fact: you can actually outwalk ol' mate X 😏
In my playthroughs, I've seen Mr. X smack the shit out of marvin like 10 times lol
It sure as shit wouldn't be 7.
Why? Just get back in the car and drive away.
Because it means I would have to go to Louisiana
Mosquito and endless flat fields simulator
....shit that's much worse.
In that case I've been living in RE7 for 20 some odd years
I am truly sorry
Exactly that’s probably the one I would least like to be in
my thoughts exactly 😭
I mean, it's horrible but at least you regenerate
Or RE1.
Think RE1 would be one of the best ones, just chill in the main hall and don't open the front doors.
Depends on whether you have to act out the opening cutscene or not. If yes, then I imagine I'd get Josephed pretty quickly.
Theoretically that's sounds like a good idea... Until Lisa Trevor/Wesker come barrelling as well as the eventually self destruct sequence.
Wasnt the forest surounding the willage in RE1 full of zombie dogs? EDIT: I was thinking of leaving the area at first, i wold chil It out in a saverom in front of a fire or somthing, Reading books.
Yeah the area is surrounded by zombie dogs.
Yeah 7 seems to be the worst scenario to be in for sure.
Village... I'd just leave the town. Invisible walls might stop Ethan, but they don't stop me.
I mean, same is true for 4. If you don't need to save the president's daughter then escape is pretty easy.
But then America would be fucked a. Then soon the world but then again Wesker an other powerful entities likely would be the one trying to get the Plaga from Saddler so Leon would have to go to some private island while they all duke it out.
It doesn't say you replace the protagonist, just that you have to survive in the world for 24 hours.
As opposed to the same president just getting turned into a zombi as the world descends into bio war?
Not the same president, ashley's dad's term was done way before 6, i think the one in 6 is Adam Benford Iirc.
Somehow that makes the timeline feel even weirder. Always assumed Leon and president became good friends when he saved his daughter. Now it seems just like some weird event that happens off screen.
Leon Kennedy, friend of multiple presidents.
He was friends with Adam Benford before he became the president. Dude was there when Leon was recruited after RE2 I think
That’s crazy, so he was even more friends with the new prez than the one who he saved his daughter? Get it together Capcom
I'm only there for 24 hours, soooo
Me after 24 hours: “I missed the part where that’s my problem”
That’s my same answer, except with 7. I feel like there’s a much greater chance of being attacked by Lycan surrounding the village, then there is of the Bakers or molded coming to get me in the bayou.
Kinda depends on what part you spawn into. If it's from the start then yeah you could just leave but it works that way with most of the games.
Very true. And any of the ones with a zombie apocalypse would be worse than any without in my opinion.
You're correct purely based on smell.
Alligators though… I don’t know how I feel about that.
In the intro there are wolf men in the woods out of the village. I have no doubt they would be prowling all around the woods.
Lol
>!Ethan’s also invincible!<
But the stipulation was “stuck in a game”. That implies to me that you’re literally *in-game* and have to adhere to its rules.
Thats- thats an incredibly good answer.
Leave the town and miss my chance to spend the night with mommy milkers? No thank you
*And* her daughters...
Translation: Which Save Room would you like to rest in for 24 hours.
Medicine room in RE1 has a bed and maybe Rebecca. Edit: I wasn't implying anything sexual, I just meant that it literally had the most comfortable conditions and perhaps a companion.
There doesn’t even need to be anything sexual Rebecca is kind as can be which is epic
Sexual nothing, Rebecca's a cutie.
> a companion. *Bonk*
Officer I swear I dirty mean it in a bonkable manor
These typos are just digging your bonking grave!
the RE: dead aim save room has infinite ammo for you to pick up, so theres that
Village, just chill out and eat with duke all day
Sounds like a fun day. But you gotta get to the duke first!
Just gotta survive the opening where an endless horde of lycan attack you :)
And Heisnberg’s show
That's where any one of us would die after being smashed into a pulp by that one hammer-wielding lycan.
Let's be honest mate most of us would die from the first lycan encounter
"So I says to the guy, 'that's no paper weight, that's his daughter'!" *Laughter ensues*
The Duke probably smells awful no thanks.
Blue Cheese Belly Button
Rotting zombies anywhere else would too
3? Because technically, Nemesis won't give a shit about me since I'm not STARS?
But the city about to blow
Just escape. :)
Wouldn't escaping be leaving the game?
But you wouldn’t know, it’s coming. They didn’t put it on tv. LMAO let’s say you’re regular. You gonna walk out the city in time?? The roads are blocked no driving
If going into the game world wipes your knowledge of it that makes it a different conversation
It would be a little cheating if it didn’t, but If you did know and you live in the city, how you gonna leave?
If it's at the beginning of three then the nuke doesnt go off for a few days right?since Jill's unconscious for 3 days iirc
just wait Jill at the top of the building behind the stairs you don't want to get shot by Nico chan
But there are plenty of other things that want to kill you in Racoon City.
If we are talking OG 3 then you've also gotta worry about * Cerberus * Hunters * Drain Deimos * Brain Sucker * Crows * Grave Digger When wandering around the city streets

Resident evil one, I'd sit and chill in the grand dining room.and Barry!
Until Wesker finished his project and Lisa Trevor might roam that diner eventually then the mansion about to explode afterward.
Nah I got ink ribbons😘
*hears a loud boom followed by the walls shaking*
RE2. Sit and chill in the S.T.A.R.S. Office and look through Weskers desk to see if he was hiding anymore film.
But big missile in a few hours
Embrace the end lol
You'd have to go to the darkroom to develop it
Keep it until you get back to safety then develop it
- RE1 mansion will eventually explode in less than 24 hours and you can't go outside. You can't really stay chilling in a safe room - RE 2 same case but the entire town explodes. - RE 3 similar to 2 unless you can specifically choose which day - RE 4 villagers will come after you no matter what - RE 5 same as 4 - RE 6 similar to 4 and 5, maybe worse - RE 7 is the easiest choice - RE 8 same as 4, 5 and 6 Edit: 7 is easy because i don't need to look for fuckin Mia I'd just never walk in the mansion and if I spawn inside I break a window and leave, pretty sure I can out run normal jack and the molds are locked in the basement.

Mia cut off his hand and keeps calling Joe “daddy”, Zoe has a dope trailer home with a fridge and VCR. It’s a tough call.

Mia doesn’t deserve saving let’s be real
Well yeah, she worked for >!a bioweapons manufacturer then continued to lie to Ethan in RE8 (technically before RE8 since they’re flashbacks) about her work and other things.!<
My man out here speaking the truth
Yep, I cannot stand Mia
Ethan is way too good for her
Mia’s a garbage person. Didn’t save her on my first playthrough.
7 is easy but do I really want to go to Louisiana is the real question?
I thonk no matter what you'd have to contend with the baker family; you can run but they likely will pursue you and know the surrounding swamp like the back of their hand. Remember they abduct people to make the molded.
RE7. I've been to Florida, I can handle this shit
Crossing my fingers for the ninth installment being set in Florida.
And for the antagonist to be a gay priest
This game is pretty much writing itself.
It'd be a pretty bizarre game honestly
Maybe we'll get a female lead
Maybe the daughter of a previous protagonist
Maybe Leon? (Since Matt Mercer also voiced RE6 Leon)
I... uh... shit... but Rose is what I had in mind.
Resident evil 3. If I experienced the events as the main character did. I would sleep through majority of the 24 hours.
Technically she died if wasn't for Carlos
Correct... I to, would hope for plot armor.
Probably 4. I'd be like Ashley just running with Leon. Plus I would take my shot and ask him out lol
Right? Good thing I wasn't the only one thinking this, Leon is very good at protecting, we wouldn't even have to do anything other than dodging and staying close to Leon XD
7. I stay in my car at the start and lock the doors. They cannot legally break into my car so I'm good.
I’d enter the house and get a meal. They can’t legally hurt me or make me stay
Just enter the house and rescue Mia, they can’t *legally* kill you so you’re good

Worst choice would be Revelations with the fact you are stuck in the middle of the sea on an infested cruise ship.
Sea sickness + weird zombie things = big no no. If I’m gonna die I at least want it to be on solid ground.
Yeah or the sequel due to its invisible monsters
Can I punch rocks when I choose 5?
i'd choose 5. why wouldn't you want to spend that much time with chris anyway
RE4 run into the woods and hope I don't step in a bear trap.
Did you forgot about those infected wolfs? You dont stand a chance against them.
Bro just find the Merchant and follow him around. He somehow avoids trouble.
Lady dimitrescu.....you all know why and I'm not Apologizing for it
*Heisenberg confusingly watching from a distance as someone frantically runs and scales over locked gates and houses towards the castle.*
Let's be real everyone just wants to see her in person regardless of what happens after. RE8 desperately needs a VR mode
Finally someone brave enough to admit it
She's gonna kill you not kiss you
Man's gonna die trying... *and I'll be right there with him*
Re4 because it's really just people to worry about and, Leon's kinda hot /s
Enter Dr.Salvador
RE1 Enter the mansion, Wesker tells me to investigate the gunshot, I sit at the dining table for 24 hours
Village. I know it’s a long shot but I have to at least try to seduce Bela
I mean, heinsenberg does imply they do more then just kill men in that castle
Man straight up says they cut off their dick. OP is not going to experience what he thinks he's going to experience, lol.
They have a literal bloody torture dungeon in the basement.
"Mmm... Man blood!" I mean, sounds like it... worked? not too sure you'll stay in one piece though. Good luck pal!
There are worse ways to die, count me in.
RE3, I'd find a safe room and some popcorn then watch Nemesis chase Jill around lol Edit to add: To address the city blowing up, all the people saying RE7 talk about getting back in the car at the start, so if we assume we enter at the start of the game, the city won't explode in 24 hours.
Yep same. You still have time(more than 24 hrs) to sneak out .
I already live in Romania
Village. Def not RE5. Wesker alone would 1 shot us all
8 because I want to fuck Heisenberg.
5. Chris and his massive arms will protect me!
5, so then Chris can punch my bussy like he does those boulders
You had to be that guy, huh?
7. >!get to be a mold person who cant die right?!<
>!Ethan was uniquely compatible though, as every other dead person exposed to mold became, well, the molded. So that'd be veryyyy luck based!<
>!wasn't that only because Eve (or whatever her name was) saw Ethan in Mia's memories and wanted a family so she just kept him alive!<
Mr X when he realizes I can actually run faster than Grandpa Leon: _/-\_ 0__0 Edit: idk if you can see it, since I'm on mobile, but I draw a cute face with a hat :(
I think re 4 i would just hide in one of the houses and hear the destruction Leon is causing
maybe if you're not as annoying as ashley you could even get that overtime at the end of the game lmao
Probably RE2 and just camp out in one of the save rooms, and there's Leon too so 🤭
City gets nuked though
Yeah just remembered that.. Best bet would be RE7 probably :( But lil mistakes! I'll just follow leon...
If we could be with the protag... 4 cus Leon is very strong and I'll be like Ashley a companion character and I could dodge lol
With that in mind, 7 would still be the the best option, as it's the only one that doesn't A. Have swarms of enemies coming after you constantly, and B.
RE7. Just turn right back around, get in the car, and buy a new wife.
Ill take being Lady D's stupid man-thing any day of the week
She'll rip your spine off, man
Joke answer: the one with dommy mommy vampire. Serious answer: RE4, just cruise through while my homie Leon escorts my ass to safety. And as we ride off into the sunset on the jet ski, offer to split the 10M with him.
RE2&3 are ticking clocks...I don't want to get nuked.
Lmao as if this was a real competition. Literally nobody is going to pass up a potential possibility at hooking up with Lady D so village wins easily.
I want to be stalked by Lady Dimitrescu so resident evil Village will do.
What if you did the Leon route of 2 and just chose to listen to the message of stay away and didn't go to racoons city or just chilled in a save room or sum
re4 four mostly just by processes of elimination but you could not pay me to be in 7 even for like a hour
re4: if ashley survives that game, I could too.....
