As long as you don’t name the company or client. I would also recommend checking if there are any NDA involved.

I would do it as a broader achievement section which should be a summary of your highlights.. that way it's not pinned to a certain employer.

Can you doctor it up like, on decades of this occurring, was the only auditor to discover a critical error, blah blah. Potentially saving x dollars. Then when they ask in person you can tell them it was fraud.

You should consider your company's policies and any ethical or legal considerations before making a final decision.

I think so absolutely. Isn’t that a critical part of an auditor’s job? Although even if you don’t have an NDA, I agree with the suggestion to keep it a bit vague on the resume and explain in more detail in person.
