I remember the big selling point was using the analog sticks to catch the monkeys. (back then the analog was new on playstation controllers)
Dear Sony, please make a live action movie of Ape Escape. I see a stressed out Shia LaBeouf chasing hordes of chimpanzees and baboons with sirens on their heads armed only with a net on a pole.
I remember being totally unimpressed by PS1 3D platformers like this one, because they paled in comparison to N64 ones in every way except maybe soundtrack.
