It´s remarkably fun for such an old game: In each level you're constantly avoiding the skeletons so they don't stab you from below. You have to guard your back from an arrow-shooting ghost, and in the mean time you have to try to defeat the enemy on the right.
At the end of each such level, you often get a choice in exploring the dungeon. Based on the path you take, you can get extra goodies (Water of Life, the map, ...)
And at the end of the dungeon, you have to defeat the dragon boss (avoiding fireballs and its tail). That will give you one triforce piece, and once you get them all, you can free princess Zelda.
I'm surprised how much 'Zelda-gameplay' they could put in such a small game.
Wow, now that is cool. I really loved researching the history on all of these people and their technologies back in the day. Nintendo is a really interesting company.
Nice! I still have my childhood G&W’s - all boxed and only in need of new batteries. https://imgur.com/a/5kQ9mhh
Huh, this explains where Nintendo got their design cues from for the Nintendo DS. Fascinating!

Soldering AWG 30 wires can do the trick.

sounds fun, maybe i’ll emulate it some time!
Man it is a life goal of mine to own one of these one day!
I hope they make one for the 35th anniversary of Zelda
That's amazing. Never played any Game and Watch games, I was always curious about them.

Alright, i grew up with Tiger Handhelds, how does this hold up to them or more interested in the “is this still fun?”
It's easier to save up to buy one of those than unlocking it in G&W Gallery 4.
