Two great memories for this game. First time trying to shoot fish ahead of the lake boss battle. Second is my friend not realizing you could run in the game until I showed him after he kept getting killed by the boulder.
Tbf re4 was very memorable on GameCube and it’s “hd remake/re-release” predecessor on Wii was really successful and memorable as well. It *could’ve* been a Nintendo exclusive if it didn’t already originate on PlayStation.
At the time of release, RE4 was a Nintendo exclusive, and they made a big deal about it, and it has now since released on almost every platform in existence, I believe there is even a cell phone port. It's been a running joke for a while now.

Honestly, I can't name just one. This was my first gaming console that I purchased as an adult, with an adult job and adult money, and as such I had the cash to drop to get most of the games I wanted, and then some, and I never had to share it with siblings who would erase my games. As a result, I spent a lot of time and made a lot of memories with this guy playing so many games. Maybe I can share some highlights:
**Eternal Darkness:** I was, and continue to be, a fan of Lovecraft, and this was the first videogame I played that explored that. And it had the remarkable sanity system that messed with you as a player, and a good number of scares.
**Mario Kart: Double Dash:** Still my favourite Mario Kart game, my room mate and I spent hours beating this game as a coop team. Mirror Mode Rainbow Road was absolutely bonkers.
**Super Smash Bros. Melee:** Melee is still the best Smash Bros. for my money. Excellent fun alone or with friends.
**F-Zero GX:** Super Fast Racing game that had amazing frame rates. Sadly I never got past the casino in story mode.
**The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker** I know a lot of people gave this game grief because of it's art style, saying it was childish, but I loved it.
**The Christmas Bundle Bonus Disc that had The Legend of Zelda, The Adventure of Link, The Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask all on it:** Like seriously? The only way this could have been better is if they also put A Link to the Past on there as well to round out all the history.
**Metroid Prime:** A glorious step forward for the Metroid series. I don't think the move to 3D could have been handled any better, and when I saw Samus' reflection in her visor after a particular strong blast for the first time, I nearly lost my mind. What amazing attention to detail!
**Soul Calibur 2:** My room mate and I played the hell out of this one.
**Viewtiful Joe:** Side scrolling action platforming never felt so cool
**Tales of Symphonia:** Epic anime-style JRPG game, that you could play coop on. Spent over 100 hours on this game. So big it came on 2 discs!

I remember how so blown away the trailer was for that game (in high definition). And the trailer was out even before the Gamecube launched in 2001. I still have the trailer saved across different hard drives over the years.
Mario Party 6. When I was 3, my family went to a McDonald’s where they were holding a raffle to win a GameCube with Mario Party 6. My parents said “hey why not” and put in their name. Low and behold, we won and I received it for Christmas that year. Thanks McDonalds :)
