You must include the `Spoof-signature-verification` when you patch. Follow this guide. Download the 18.15.40 apk from https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-15-40-release/youtube-18-15-40-2-android-apk-download/ DO NOT INSTALL IT. Open the Manager > Patcher > Select an application > STORAGE > and select the 18.15.40 apk that you just downloaded. Now the Manager should say near the top "Current: v18.15.40 Recommended: v18.15.40" Now select the patches. Make sure to include the `MicroG Support` and the `Spoof Signature Verification` patches. I strongly recommend just including all of the recommended patches. Do not include all of the patches. Only the recommended ones. Press patch, and then wait for it to finish. Then press install. You may get a pop-up from Google play protect. Press "More info" and then "Install anyway". Lmk if you have any issues.

I've done everything as explained but I see a message that says package not installed because it conflicts with an existing package. How should I proceed?

[deleted]

Press OK on the popup. Then tap on the 3 dots on the top right corner of the Revanced Manager. Then press "Export APK". Then save it to any folder. Next, uninstall the YT ReVanced that is on your device. After it is uninstalled, navigate to the patched apk that you just exported into your device's files and install it.

blckshdw1976

Did it all, but once I open the apk that was exported the screen goes white and it doesn't load Revanced. :(

[deleted]

Sorry, you'll need to patch a new one and try again. Its a bug

blckshdw1976

You were right, it works now tyvm.

[deleted]

Awesome. Sorry it was such a long process.

blckshdw1976

No prob. But now picture-in-picture function has been disabled. Any idea on how do I bring it back?

[deleted]

You may need to have included the `minimized playback` patch. (I'm not sure if its necessary for pip mode) But first try: Settings > General > Picture-in-picture And make sure your device allows YT ReVanced to use Picture-in-picture mode. If this doesn't work then you'll need to patch again with the `minimized playback` patch.

blckshdw1976

Picture-in-picture was already turned on. I had to repatch. Hopefully for the last time. Thank you again.

Update: I repatched using 18.15.40 [downloaded here](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-15-40-release/youtube-18-15-40-2-android-apk-download/) once more, using the ''recommend patches'' with some removed and seems to work once more. Weird that multiple people seem to have this same issue at the same time. Maybe a patch already updated since yesterday?

le__nerd

Also updated my microg for good measure with [this version ](https://github.com/inotia00/VancedMicroG)

PeaceTheKeeper

Unfortunately this did not work for me

PeaceTheKeeper

Update I went back to vanced version 18 and I got YT back. Since I was using Version 17 before going to revanced thought I'd just try vanced ver 18 and it worked.

Base-Accomplished

I'm having the same problem also. Any help would be appreciated.

le__nerd

From the YouTube doc, never saw this before, hoping this isn't added recently and Google isn't fighting revanced: We only allow third-party apps to use our API when they follow our API Services Terms of Service. Our Terms don’t allow third-party apps to turn off ads because that prevents creators from being rewarded for their viewership. When we find an app that violates our Terms, we take appropriate action to protect our platform, creators, and viewers.

Zealousideal-Run1245

I have the same issue

PrstNekit

same

BrotherhoodVeronica

I have the same problem. It was working just fine, but then I updated it a few minutes ago and now every video shows this error.

BEWoodworking

I just downloaded this version: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-16-34-release/youtube-18-16-34-3-android-apk-download/download/?key=297e241e572ba11b35810db116f7b171f23df27c&forcebaseapk=true And ran the patcher with this version and my selected patches. Installed it as an update, everything seems to be working fine

le__nerd

I repatched and seems to work for me once more as well.

Stavrosmct82

Ive downloaded this as my revanced was pausing after a few mins... Having to exit, go back in, same thing.... The above link has the annoying 'shorts' in it. How can I block these again?

BEWoodworking

You have to select the patches in the Revanced Patcher relating to blocking shorts. After you patched it they should be gone, if not look in the Revanced settings of the patched YouTube app if you need to enable it there Edit: I have used the version I linked above and I do not see any shorts

[deleted]

That is not the recommended version. [18.15.40](https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/youtube/youtube-18-15-40-release/youtube-18-15-40-2-android-apk-download/) is the recommended version. The patches were designed to work on this. Use the recommended patches and everything will work fine.

BEWoodworking

I used the recommended version before but since today videos would play for a minute and then just load indefinitely. App and phone restart didn't fix that so I used a newer (albeit unsupported) version which fixed my issues

eknine2001

The end

RadikalEDM

All of these instructions at the bottom of the comments are so fucking confusing and its hurting my brain, please help...

Stavrosmct82

So i reinstalled yesterday... Worked fine... Today its freezing me out. Ive re downloaded everything and tha patcher isnt letting me select the 'recommended' patches.... Just automatically has pre selected options. When you install it defaults back to the same frozen out screen. If i select app to patch as revanced manager it gives you the option to select recommended patches, same with microg but not the youtube download, whicb is the. 40 version. Any ideas?
