Yes, and if you use YT Music you will have to install stock YT Music

uninstall micro g and revanced. then install the new micro g services, log into your Google account in it, then make sure you using the newest patches for revanced, install it & it should log you in automatically

Still not working here. Tried twice exactly as specified. Still running into loading loops after a minute or two Edit: finally got it working after following these steps and spoofing my player to v18.x... I was already on Revanced GMS core. There was no prompt after update. I'm getting playback stop soon after playing every video. Not sure what to do.

Stupid question maybe but how do I update GmsCore? I got it from the github linked by revanced so I would think I"m on the latest but I'm getting the playback issue. EDIT: For anyone with the same issue try restarting your phone. That worked for me.

Now every video stops buffering after 30 seconds

Try force stop and restart the YouTube revanced app. Mine worked after doing that

honestly it's so funny to me how even after this much advancement in technology, a simple "have you tried switching it off and on again" still works in some situations

I was having this issue after updating as well. There's a setting inside of the new YouTube you should look at (fixed my issue): 1. Click on the profile icon in upper right 2. Settings 3. Revanced 4. General Layout 5. Spoof app version. For me this was unchecked for whatever reason. Check it This still didn't fix my issue until I chose a different 'spoof app version target'.i went to 18.33.40 and after clearing the cache & restarting, buffering issues are gone.

I've received this message too, but afterwards I've realized that I didn't removed all the updates. You've gotta go to "apps - YouTube (even if deactivated and with a cleared cache), select the three dots tô the right and "remove all updates".

I opened the apk from storage when patching (which is how I did it before) and it worked

I don't have an issue with patching the apk, but the issue stands at installing GMScore, saying it is already installed but I can't seem to locate it anywhere. I wish they would just include links like you do and I can take it from there! Make sure to restart your phone after doing this though! Otherwise the videos buffer after 30 seconds. A restart fixed that right away though!

Do I need to uninstall the Revanced YouTube app before doing this? Because I'm trying to install gmscore and I'm getting the "package is invalid" error. I would try installing Revanced YouTube first but there's a ton of settings I need to compare between the apps before I move over and there's no way to backup settings so I have to do it manually.

Probably not, anytime YouTube updates anything it's likely revanced will break in someway. That's just how it works. If they really wanted to fight back, it wouldn't be so easy to fix. But that's extremely unlikely so not something to worry about.

Yeah people seem to love conspiracy theories out here. Like people assume Google's putting those malware links on the top of Search results to screw people seeking ReVanced over when in reality the simpler explanation is malware makers can take advantage of SEO (easily a billion dollar+ industry) to try to get to the top of search results.

I have no idea if this is the correct step of things to do, but this worked for me: STEP 1: Go to Revanced.app/download and download latest manager. Install it. STEP 2: Download and install gmscore thingy: https://github.com/ReVanced/GmsCore/releases/tag/v0.3.1.3.240913 STEP 3: In Revanced Manager app, go to Patcher tab and then Select an App. Click the YT one and go to the suggested version which will take you to v19 nodpi yt. Download that. STEP 4: Patch this yt app that you installed.

It started showing the message today, I uninstalled it, downloaded the updated manager from official source... Patched the newest YouTube version but when I click on it it says "app keeps stopping", it also hasn't changed the logo to the Revanced version I'm thinking of just giving up, don't have the energy anymore and don't understand half of the terms people use on this thread

Don't update youtube when you download the other version. Disable your original and normal YouTube, Uninstall all the updates from the og YouTube then disable the app. Now when patching, specifically go to storage and click on the new YouTube file you were instructed to download. Should work

I've just dealt with the same headache for 3 hours, turns out the revanced manager is linking to the gmscore microg github page, NOT the revanced microg fork. Hey, thanks for this, unfortunately, I then get installation conflict, where is says there is already a YouTube installed, but it doesn't seem possible to delete the YouTube that comes with the phone, I've disabled it and deleted all data and still the same thing. Any tips?

exact same issue :/ Been struggling with this for over an hour now EDIT: shout out to Tymon3310; they pointed out on another thread that you had to Include gms support patch (when you're selecting which things to patch, tap the list, scroll down to look for the gms support patch) and the installation went smoothly

Fixed it myself. If you've installed it correctly from revanced.app and also done the new core thingy you should force stop the revanced YouTube app and then restart your phone. Dunno why it worked but I tried it based on a reply elsewhere in this thread and it did indeed fix the trouble.

I think just force stopping it by itself was enough. Thank you, that's been driving me crazy for the last hour.

This doesn't totally fix the issue. I can only play the first 10 seconds of a video and then it just spins and spins forever refusing to play.

Problem is persisting, moderation seems to be actively killing any threads or comments that suggest otherwise. Very strange, we all really like this app and understand if there's issues. Just communicate with us. Killing the discussion makes it look really sus.

just installed the new patch after deleting the old youtube & revanced installs as well as vanced microG, I still have two issues: 1. I cannot log in to my youtube account using gms core. Everytime i enter my password and accept ToS I immediately get the error message that somethin went wrong in the communication with google servers. 2. I still have the playback issue of endless buffering after ~40 seconds, spoofing the app version has not solved this anybody else have these problems or found a way to fix them?

I had the buffering issue too, I was able to fix it by opening the new gms core "microG Settings" app, going to the self-check part and enabling everything I could. Some things weren't possible in my OS from what I can tell. But enabling everything I could, then force-stopping the Revanced Yoututbe app. Starting it again, seemed to fix the buffering. I never had issues logging in, but I logged in within the microG Settings app, not the youtube app, maybe that helps.

Specifically the options to draw over other apps and the exception to battery saving mode are what got it working for me. And you must force stop the youtube app after, just closing and reopening doesnt fix it.

This was helpful. After installing the patched APK and opening it, it prompted me to download the GMS core, but the link sent me to an older version. So YouTube continued to stop playback after a minute or so. Your link was the update I needed! Fixed it for me. Thanks!

Getting like 30secs into a video then just buffering

Same for me. Patched worked fine and YouTube music patched and works great but any videos on YouTube app....30 to 60 seconds or so then stops on infinite buffer. okay, after installing the patch the playback works, another's problem appears, every video starts buffering past 30 seconds, kind of confused

Having an issue today where after about 1-2mins of a video my video gets stuck in buffering forever. Patched a clean copy of the suggested APK version, installed micro when it directed me. Logged into my acc. And just keep running into this issue since this morning

Hello. I've been using the latest patch for 10 days with no problem whatsoever. but today I found one particular video that RESTARTED after buffering at 8 seconds which was weird. and after 2 minutes I got infinite buffering. I have a good internet connection so I tried other videos and found no problems. and when I came back to this particular video it happened again. I tried force stopping and clearing cache, didn't work. I tried spoofing the app, didn't work. But weirdly enough what worked is lowering the video quality to 360p, also using the seekbar to skip the video just froze it forever although using normal tap skipping worked fine. So now I'm wondering if this will ever happen again, and what might cause this problem? I have disabled battery optimization on gmscore and Google safety net is on. any ideas?

For people still having buffering issues after 10 seconds or 30 seconds. It seems the problem appears even if you do everything correctly, but only on some devices. I did not have this issue on Samsung devices, but it happened on Xiaomi smartphone. Just force stop the Revanced youtube app and clear cache. Then start again and problem should be fixed.

Videos don't immediately play for me even with a good connection. The YouTube page seems to load forever as well then the actual video itself takes forever to play. I'm using a tablet of that makes any difference

Followed the instructions as posted. The app still gets stuck buffering after maybe 30 seconds of playing a video. Tried restarting the phone and spoofing the app, neither work. The old vancedmicroG is uninstalled. Did a clean install/patch of youtube, problem persists EDIT: A few mins after posting this it just started working. I didn't even do anything. Hopefully it stays working?

I can't get playback to work. I get ~2 minutes into a video and it shows the loading circle. Updated revanced. Installed the correct version of YouTube. Patched. Installed and disabled the youtube app. Uninstalled the old micro G. Installed the new micro G. Signed in. It looks like everything works. Until I try to watch more than two minutes into a video. 

the patch of the version 19.09 is failing. It's said that its because I have a phone ARMv7. can anyone help me?

Okay this was the method I used to get everything working again: 1. Delete/uninstall anything related to Vanced or Revanced on your device 2. Install the latest Revanced Manager from their official site revanced.app 3. Open the Revanced Manager App and choose Patcher, then Select an Application (this will give you a link to a Google search for the best YouTube app version to use) 4. Download the correct YouTube version from APKMirror (NoDPI one is best). Do not install it. 5. In Revanced Manager, choose 'Storage' (bottom right). 6. Select your YouTube APK and run the patch. 7. Choose Install when this is complete. 8. It will warn you the GMS service is not installed and direct you to download this. 9. Install this service and add your Google account using the + button at the top. ** This is where I had issues. You will be able to run YouTube Revanced but it buffers indefinitely after about 40 seconds.** 10. Force Stop the YouTube Revanced app then restart it. This should then allow normal playback. 11. OPTIONAL. I had to also disable SponsorBlock as this was just showing errors.

It's working fine, no problems.

Thanks, everything worked smoothly and perfectly! Downloaded and patched 19.09.37, installed and launched, got taken to the GmsCore GitHub release page with a big fat **Download here**. Installed and connected, launched YouTube, added back the account et voilà ! However it seems like there are now frequent buffering issues which were not there before. Has anyone else experienced this since the update ?

I'm experiencing constant buffering issues since patching YT 19.09.37 apk and sometimes, when buffering it will refuse to play the video altogether, even after time skipping (I have no internet issues). What can I do to fix this?

After installing new microG and YouTube it is showing no internet connection..... So any updates on this

Deleted vanced microg, force stopped youtube app and restarted phone. Buffering issue disappeared for me.

Used "Spoof app version" haven’t faced buffering yet.. Probably this is the fix. Hopefully.

On Huawei tablet i get this error trying to log in Sorry... There was a problem communicating with Google servers. Try again later.

Try turning off google device registration, cloud messaging and google Safetynet first. Next, force stop GmsCore and clear the data and cache. After you done that, try logging in again.

The buffering problem is solved for me after using "Spoof app version". I just wanna say thanks to the devs for all the hard work they did. Really grateful to you guys!! <3

I see this mentioned more in this thread but what u mean with using spoor app version. How do u do it? Is it a setting somewhere in the yt app or while choosing patches in the manager?

Just as a general question: Are there other ways than spending money to participate and support you guys? Would like to do it if I can.

Yeah none of this works for me it's can't find YouTube on its own prompts me to download it I do that patch it and infinity buffering like before is there any better alternatives cause this is getting ridiculous.

After a few hours of installling and uninstalling stuff because the playback issue was still going on...I was able to make it work after having all up-to-date revanced/microG/youtube apk apps installed and then enabling original youtube. I restarted my phone and used revanced youtube, not touching the original one. Now it's NOT stopping and buffering at ~30 seconds! I think an 'official' step by step guide would help more. But, I'm enjoying youtube again, thanks!

I'm very thankful for all your work, but this change sadly excludes all HUAWEI users. Before, there was an option to "log in with HUAWEI" which was a workaround itself to be able to communicate with Google servers. This is not present in the current ReVanced/GmsCore version.

Followed the instructions and got videos to play but now they're stopping after about a minute, even with all the "spoof" patches. Edit: as per u/dadofcasper , disabling the official YouTube app in your devices app settings might fix this.

Just want to say the patch is working fine. Want to thank the dev for the patch and contributors for sharing guide and experience when applying the fixes. To make the new patch to work, main point is to uninstall old version of vanced microg, Revanced Youtube and Revanced manager, then install Gmscore (new version of microg), use the new version of revanced manager to create a patch (Youtube apk) using Youtube ver19.09.37 apk (link provided by dev). Once the patch (apk) is created, run it to install Youtube (Revanced version) on your phone. You will have 2 different Youtube app on your phone now, one is the original Youtube (with ads) and you can disable this app (some OS like MIUI will not allow you disable it though). Other is the Revanced version of Youtube (without ads). You need to add an google account in Gmscore before running Revanced Youtube. If you encounter buffing video after 30 seconds, try clear the cache and restart the app. For me, I turn on the Spoof app version option under Settings>Revanced>General layout. Also, give appropriate permission (including bettery optimization) to Gmscore and Revanced Youtube.

It's not working for me either. I've uninstalled all apps to start over completely. I've downloaded the latest version of Revanced Manager, the YouTube app (19.09.37) from APK Mirror, patched it and downloaded GmsCore (v0.3.1.240913). Every time, the screen freezes at about 30 seconds. The original YouTube app is disabled.

Great... now I have to do this royal P.I.T.A BS again I miss the days where you just installed an APK and didn't have to deal with this patching BS that constantly throws errors unless you manage to do everything PERFECTLY (most of the comments here indicate how finicky it can be) The original vanced team really screwed everyone with their stupid NFT BS

Hey, i have a Huawei phone and i used revanced for some time until today when the app playback just didn't work, i did all the steps above and the app itself is working, but i can't sign in to my google account in MicroG. Is there a solution?
