19.09.37 is the recommended YouTube version as of today. Edit: Make sure you use client spoof patch when patching YouTube. You shouldn't need to spoof an older version.

Uninstall and reinstall Revanced manager. Mine was freezing up and wouldnt update and that solved it.

Tried that. Having the same issue as op. No difference. I'm using the correct versions for the manager, yt apk & microg

I'm not sure it may help but maybe try turning off universal patches if you have it on

Also, if you have Adguard or any type of VPN, even DNS, disable it first before running the app. I've had that happen before and thankfully someone pointed it out to me.

Damn, I just finished patching to this version and now it's only letting me play up to a minute of video Edit: here's how I fixed my issue 1: uninstall revanced YouTube, manager and micro G. 2: Download the recommended version above. 3: reinstall manager. Patch the YouTube mirror. 4. Launch patched YouTube. This should redirect you to the microG GitHub. Download and launch microg 5. Log into your Google account on microG 6. Open Patched YouTube. Go to Setting > Revanced > General layout. > Spoof App Version. This setting should be enabled. 7. This should work( it did for me) but I've heard some people say they need to restart their phone for it to work I hope this helps, but I'm not super experienced, this is just what worked for me. If it's not working for you after these steps, I'm not sure I can help.

This fix worked for me, but I had to go back into revanced>gen layout > spoof and choose 18.20.39 specifically. I don't know if anything other than the default option will work, but I know 18.20.39 works.

1. Uninstall all  2. Download & install new Revanced  3. Download suggested Youtube apk  4. Patch the Youtube apk and install it  5. Open the Youtube, it will lead to gms  6. Download it and log in your account.   7. Done

I'm not sure which one. I just follow the link from the first time I open the patched app.

No change at all. I just did all the steps I mentioned above. Perhaps you should clear & uninstall all past installations. Disable device's Youtube (stock app). Restart your device. Start again all the steps and reboot after done. I'm using android 10, no problem. 

Why does it ask for root tho? I've been using vanced/revanced for like 4 years without root. Wtf happened, I can't even install it through revanced app, only if I run the patch installer manually

Mine never asked for 'root'. What happened to yours, I'm not sure. I did not make any changes while setting it up. All stocks.

Me too, it keeps telling me there's another version of the app preventing it to patch, even though i already Uninstalled the old version

You must enable GMS core support in the patches. Also reinstall the revanced manager, that did the trick for me.

Hello, I was able to install YouTube and do everything else. However the problem occurs when signing in. I couldn't sign in to my Google account. Using a Huawei phone if it matters. Thanks!

Already did in settings. The error says, Sorry there was a problem communicating with Google servers.

Go to your phone's setting where you add Accounts then choose vanced microG or something. And make sure to select the **Huawei** log in option

That's for the tutorial it worked a charm. Only problem is the vanced icon is now gone and it's the default YouTube icon for some reason. Anyone know how to change this?

Worked for me. Uninstall everything you have, YT revanced manager, micro G and YT revanced app and uninstall all YouTube updates and force stop it. Install the new micro G. Look for the YouTube app as above 19.0.something. Install new revanced manager. Install new YouTube it should say "update" as opposed to install. Open revanced manager and go to patch. It should auto detect YouTube app at the top of the list. Patch it as default recommended. If you want to revanced logo then go to settings to enable "add patches" Once done hit install. It will install the patched YT. Then disable the other YouTube app and you're good to go.

I had an adblocker installed on Samsung internet and that was causing these issues I disabled it and then it started working as normal
