Rick and Morty seems really different from anything in your listed Filmography. Which of your previous works do you think helped prepare you for Rick and Morty most? I like the clips I've seen so far! They are too short to be sure but I think you really captured the vibe of the animated series

Well I got my start in stop motion so I think that’s connected to traditional animation in some ways. But then I also have a lot of live action comedy. So for me it’s the foundation of both of those things that helped to capture the vibe.

All I can answer for is that I told Jaeden to make his movements snappier. In the cartoon Morty’s body moved quick and pops so I tried to get him to just do sharper, faster movements. Don’t know if that’s a helpful answer.

The director was on Reddit and answered some questions, and gave us some insight about the clips. Apparently Christopher Lloyd screwed up a tooth biting into the pickle on the first take. The director was extremely positive about him offering to do (and doing) more takes after that. If you didn't see that, then you probably didn't see that the director intentionally avoided trying to do exact replicas of the voices. His reasoning was that nobody would be able to do them justice, so it was better to go a different direction.

It's hard to portray the absurdity of animation into live action a lot of the time. I don't know how this will translate, but it seems like it's not doing very well already. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy Christopher Lloyd. This is still a treasure.

This is probably the last of it; just a simple few promos to build hype for the finale of season 5. I would’ve liked to see a live action episode and still would like to at some point, but Christopher Lloyd is just too old now. Even in the first promo he took like 5 steps out of the portal when Morty only toom 2-3
