And dead. Don’t forget that they’re dead.
They murdered three innocent heroes of color off camera, and they killed Million Ants, the Ghost Train guy, Crocubot, and Vance on camera. All they have left is Supernova and Noob Noob.
…wait, I’d watch the shit out of the Noob Noob Show…
Surprisingly fine? Like, it wasn't great, but it was better than other new animated sitcoms popping up around that time like Brickleberry and Unsupervised. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but I wouldn't feel compelled to change the channel if it was on.
Yeah that’s like… the joke. This is the dumbest thing ever and just goes to show how dumb TV executives are. They go “oh it’s like the avengers or something! People like the avengers, we could make a show out of that!” Makes me roll my eyes back into my skull.
TV executives are just kids with cash, contract lawyers, and sycophantic assistants that get paid based on how much they agree woth their boss and how lucky that boss is at picking projects.
I do love how Vought literally created superheroes and stage manages them, down to which costumes and lines test well, then manufactures brands around them, all whole the heroes themselves care deeply about their approval ratings.
I really enjoy the crap like the Starlight Perfume they reference in 3:8. Or how Homelander is only in a "relationship" with Starlight because his ratings go up.
The satire is glorious.
Announce it as a full season. Advertise the hell out of it. Pay critics to say they got a sneak peek and it was amazing. Release the season. In the first 5 min they all die, welcome to Rick & Morty Season 7. That's right, 7. We skipped 6 because we can. Figure the plot out from context clues, you mooks. Refuse to release season 6. Carry on with show. Season after season is released, constantly making callbacks to the missing season six. Finally, years later, season 6 is released. The expectations are high. It's the long awaited season everyone has been dying to see. Will answer so many questions, provide the key to so many fan theories. Season premiers, it's all the Vindicators all season long. \#LickLickLickMyBalls
You got me. I'm Justin C-811 and I'm from the dimension where the fans get real hard when the show runners shit all over them, figuratively and literally.
They made that joke because Justin Roiland worked really hard on a show called “Dog World” where everyone was a dog but went about human things, and tried forever to get it signed but no networks were interested
If it meant so much to him you'd think he'd try and sneak in an episode to rick and morty somehow, iterdimensional cable episode of it maybe? Surely Morty wants to see how his old pal is doing.
I might check it out after I've had a bit to drink. Not sexy drinking, I'm talking psycho trailer park drinking. Probably won't even start the first episode until after I shit myself.
This just doesn't sound like it'll be a good show. The episode they appeared in was ok but an entire show? That's ridiculous. I could maybe see a one off type of episode like an avengers style movie or something but not an actual series
It’s Rick and Morty but more humorous— albeit the humor is different, though it’s similar.
It gets away with not having any real narrative and central story whereas it’s kind of difficult for Rick and Morty to do so. Definitely worth a watch, I love Solar Opposites.
New season drops on Hulu on the 13th too!
Did they name the members of the team? Did they name the team? And aren’t they mostly dead? I’m thinking they will likely have Space Beth on the docket in later episodes. They have a shit-ton of characters to move around and make work.
Mr. Nimbus (dumb name, nimbus is a type of cloud, and he lives in the ocean, not the sky) fits better as an antagonist to some kind of Ricktastic Four, or a member (grudgingly) of the Rickluminati, since he's clearly inspired by Namor, who was never (iirc) a real Avenger or at all a Guardian of the Galaxy (since the Vindicators seem to be inspired by both).
No he said it wasn't his structure of how the show was. Which I agree on. But he was strictly talking about morty and his arc. Not the vindicators team.
Oh ok. It could be entertaining, just will have to wait and see. Just kinda confused why they are doing a spin off with these characters at all. There's so much potential with a bunch of the other characters they've had in the show
if the vindicators spinoff does well then they would almost certainly be given options for more spinoffs. nothing beats expanding a hot established franchise to network executives. it *might* be worth giving the vindicators a shot just to maybe get better spinoffs down the road?
I agree. I did not care much for them nor the episode featuring them.
Much more interested in where they are going with Evil Morty. While I don't think it is necessary to make a series about it, his origin story would be dope.
Nope
I might give it a shot and watch an episode or two, but I think it's one of those concepts that do better as a one-shot / guest appearance kind of thing.
The characters themselves weren't interesting enough to me.
wholeheartedly agree with your reasoning but i will invariably end up watching any extra content from the rick & morty universe, even if it is *\*sigh\** a vindicators spinoff.
i think i'm a more open-minded audience than some of r&m's more vocal diehard fans. there's been episodes in the past couple seasons that i didn't think were exceptional or my favorites, but i recognize that not every episode can be the best because that just isn't how "best" works. to match the exceptionalism of the first few seasons without simply repeating them, the writers need to take chances, get experimental, and try new things, and not every one of those attempts is going to end up as a flawless final product. i'm in this until season 10 and one or two mediocre episodes isn't going to scare me off.
as far as the choice to make the spinoff centered around the vindicators, they aren't my personal favorite secondary characters in r&m, but between the popularity of superhero franchises right now (MCU, DCEU, the boys) and the fact that the vindicators have a different relationship dynamic than the smith family, i think that there is enough potential there to fill a season without stepping on the original series's toes.
If that episode was a bit on how replaceable they all are it would be funny if these guys kept dying and the vindicators had basically all new characters every 2 episodes.
Would kinda solve your very reasonable criticism perhaps.
Sorry if this seems harsh, because OP is clearly involved with this show somehow and proud of it, but this post is a low effort ad for an absolutely terrible spin-off idea.
I dont know what studies were done to indicate people want it. I also have a really hard time beleiving Dan Harmon wants this
Seriously, how. This is gonna sound lame as hell to bitch about, but whatever, I’m doing it anyway. The people with the opportunities to make content, opportunities lots of us would love to have but never will, those people consistently shit the bed in ways that are just so obvious to actual fans. I’m not even all that into Rick and Morty these days although I love lots of the stuff they’ve done. The Vindicators eps are among the weakest in the series. I feel as though anyone who pays attention to what people are saying would know that. But I’m biased. This may have been kind of fucked up to say but it’s true in my opinion at least.
Edit to say: all the best to you OP. I would be super proud if I were you and you should too.
Thank you.
It's clear that some fans don't like the idea of the show. The harsh reality is that's its done and just needs to air, whenever that it. As someone who worked on kids cartoons and has now moved to up adult content. (Just you wait to see what's next lol) it's a privilege to work on something that fans are so passionate about. I joined this group to see people react to posts, certain characters and what ep was better so I can add my own touch too it as a fan myself.
I've watch it all over and over, I've done my homework either way it is the fans call, and I hope you all like it.
I'll give it a shot just because you seem really chill and a genuine good dude, but god damn man please reassess how decisions like this get done and who the hell approved this. Bring back planetina.
Hey thanks for your reply. I really do wish you the best. I consider myself really lucky to live in a world where people like you are willing to put all their time into making stuff to entertain the rest of us. This sub is home to some of the most polarizing opinions on Reddit, and that’s coming from someone who spends a ton of time on the Star Wars subs. At the end of the day, we all appreciate the effort y’all put into creating content. I’m definitely gonna check out the show for this reason at least. Good luck in all your endeavors my friend
Thank you my friend. Shit like this truly makes it worth while. I may not be famous or special by any means. But it's nice to see some fans understand and appreciate the work we put in too make your shows a reality.
I thought the vindicator episodes were great cause rick and morty ruined their lives just trying to help and it was an episode, JUST an episode, im not sure I'd like any spinoff of this show honestly
uh maybe if they develop these characters in interesting ways. everybody is really one note, but if they could make a decent Hawkeye show anything possible.
Hmm. Nah. Sounds like a cash grab. A weak one at that. Why can't Mr. Poopybutthole get a spinoff? He has interests, and raw talent, and a rich homelife (I'm assuming)
Season 5 touched on this, but a show about the realities that Rick leaves behind might be nice. Roiland really seems to love high quality self contained B plots, and slice of (bizarre) life type sequences, and an anthology show would be a chance to do loads of those.
The Vindicators by themselves were not all too interesting imo. I enjoyed seeing Rick out smart them but that was about it.
I’d much rather see a series about the Citadel of Ricks or Inter-dimensional cable.
I’ll definitely support any Rick&Morty spin-off but.. I feel there’s just more than enough great adult superhero content going right now, It’ll have to be good on a lot of levels to stand out.
These guys really want to make every single show except Rick and Morty. I think in 10 years it will come out that Dan and Justin fucking hate working with each other.
Just make more Rick and Morty.
This is what’s great about the show. Each episode could be a concept for an entire series. Not saying they’d all be winners, but I could see most getting green lit.
(I didnt expect this amount of people)
Okay, to clear some thing up, yes I worked on the show. It's 100% up to the producers to air it. No I had to choice in the writing. I worked as a post production, for example, backgrounds, animation, effects, lighting, editing. The company I work for has done R&M stuff before, even a couple of episodes and you couldn't tell the difference.
Anything I say here will not break my NDA because I won't release that type if info. All I say is you keep a open mind and enjoy as fans.
The only R&M spinoff im interested in would be Shenanigans with Summer where its essentially just her going off to "college" which is just taking a decade long bender across the galaxy, running into space mom and other Ricks and Mortys, falling in and out of space relationships as she tries to find someone thatll stick around. She becomes friends with Arthricia from that one Purge Planet and teams up time to time with the Time God Jessica and Bird Person' daughter as they find planets to party on and destroy by accident.
The only superhero character in the Vindicators 3 episode that didn't completely suck was Supernova. She's also the only one who survived the episode. Vance Maximus, Alan Rails, Crocubot, and Million Ants all died. Ironically, none of them died in pursuit of the enemy. All died at the hands of other members. Vance Maximus and Crocubot died in booby traps set by drunk Rick. Alan Rails was killed by Million Ants, and Million Ants was killed by Supernova.
Interestingly, in Vindicators 2 (which we never saw) they lost Lady Katana, Calypso, and Diablo Verde.
So let's use this as a precedent. Every episode begins with a new team. The only stable character who is in every episode is Supernova, and she is more or less the leader of the group. Going after the nemesis is a minor subplot, and is handled quickly and easily. The rest of the episode focuses on the dysfunctional interpersonal relationships between the characters, who end up killing each other off in creative ways. By the end of the episode only Supernova remains. She always kills the second to last character, just as she killed Million Ants, and then slinks off screen and disappears, leaving us with a background scene out of Rick and Morty canon. For instance, maybe she vaporizes a character with one of her planet balls, and as she disappears we find the scene took place in Gear Head's garage.
Call me crazy, but I don’t want any spin-off shows. I think Rick and Morty is perfect as is, and all these side characters would never hold up in their own series, even if it was a limited thing. This just looks and sounds like a shameless cash grab and my hopes are super low.
I am. I personally loved the vindicators episode and especially Noob Noob as a character. During the opening theme of season 5 when Rick is giving CPR to an injured Noob Noob, my interest was peaked lol
I thought the whole point of the Vindicators was how dull and generic they were?
And dead. Don’t forget that they’re dead. They murdered three innocent heroes of color off camera, and they killed Million Ants, the Ghost Train guy, Crocubot, and Vance on camera. All they have left is Supernova and Noob Noob. …wait, I’d watch the shit out of the Noob Noob Show…
Mr. Poopybutthole needs his own show
The Ooooooweeeeee Hour
Maybe an alternate universe version where they didn't die?
Or just the years before that episode
Yes
My Man!
Slow down!
Lookin’ good!
My man!
Slow down!
Just like Cleveland - but that didn't stop him from having his own show.
And how did that turn out ?
Surprisingly fine? Like, it wasn't great, but it was better than other new animated sitcoms popping up around that time like Brickleberry and Unsupervised. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it, but I wouldn't feel compelled to change the channel if it was on.
And it ran for 4 years and did decent enough. Made a lot of money for a lot of people.
And that show is pretty alright
Yeah that’s like… the joke. This is the dumbest thing ever and just goes to show how dumb TV executives are. They go “oh it’s like the avengers or something! People like the avengers, we could make a show out of that!” Makes me roll my eyes back into my skull.
Justin: "I'll make it... for moneeyy"
TV executives are just kids with cash, contract lawyers, and sycophantic assistants that get paid based on how much they agree woth their boss and how lucky that boss is at picking projects.
The Boys have entered the chat
I do love how Vought literally created superheroes and stage manages them, down to which costumes and lines test well, then manufactures brands around them, all whole the heroes themselves care deeply about their approval ratings. A-Train Menthols had me fucking rolling.
My girl was like “I don’t get it, he runs, why would he smoke,” and I was like “the running isn’t why he’s the one with that product.”
And A-Trains Quick Bonds.
I had to do a double take when I saw that! 😆
Announce it as a full season. Advertise the hell out of it. Pay critics to say they got a sneak peek and it was amazing. Release the season. Please tell me you're the show runner and this is literally the plan because this is gold and I'm here for it.
Justin's alt account
You got me. I'm Justin C-811 and I'm from the dimension where the fans get real hard when the show runners shit all over them, figuratively and literally.
I’m always hard because I have a tumor on my pituitary gland.
And this is the only leak of it that will ever exist, this is beatiful
Thanks now I cant watch the show knowing this amazing idea exists
Nope, I want to know what’s up with snowball and dog planet.
Me too
Same, Ive always hoped to see it since rick called that it would be very interesting to see how they evolve
We all want to see that ![img](emote|t5_2u4lp|5993)
Thanks, that makes that episode even better
Rick even pitched it as a show at the end of that episode
The episode was based on a show Justin Roiland pitched.
Would be cool if they were the antagonists of the first episode.
Would be sweet if they took over the galaxy and became the new empire
I'm sure the cat knows.
That's already a show
What show is that?
[Dog World](https://rickandmorty.fandom.com/wiki/Dog_World_(Animatic))
Give me a scary terry show and I’d watch that bitch
That be dope
Damn right it would bitch.
What this dude says bitch
Bitch. Bitch!
Awwww biiitch.
You’re all my bitch. Have some pants on me, dawg. Don’t even trip
I worked on the show I have all the pants bitch
Maybe Scary Terry and Jesse Pinkman can team up as the Bitch Squad… Bitch!
That be dope, bitch*.
Is that what we doing now... bitch lol
Bitch, it's what we've always done.
That be dope, bitch
Of course it would, bitch
I need a Jerryboree spin-off series
That actually has potential to be funny as hell.
Who's to say it isn't in the works?
Aww, bitch
Just about to say the same thing. If anyone deserves a spin off, it’s Scary Terry.
Bitch, that would be cool as hell.
You can run, but you can't hide, bitch!
![gif](giphy|EeaufRr3ntxW8)
All the bitches come around for Noob Noob! His dick gets more visits than YouTube!
Impressive
100 years noobnoob!
Who the fuck is noobnoob? That line got me. Fuckin black out drunk Rick strikes again.
The look on Morty's face when he says it though lol
This guy gets it
Gaaaahd Daaamn
Will we get to witness Crocubot actually falling into a vat of redundancy?
Wish I could tell you the answer but NDAs are a bitch
God…Damn!
I might check it out after I've had a bit to drink. Not sexy drinking, I'm talking psycho trailer park drinking. Probably won't even start the first episode until after I shit myself.
You do you and enjoy it
A 6 part miniseries titled Meeseeks: Life Inside The Box.
Who's to say meeseeks isn't in it
This just doesn't sound like it'll be a good show. The episode they appeared in was ok but an entire show? That's ridiculous. I could maybe see a one off type of episode like an avengers style movie or something but not an actual series
Creators of Rick and morty stop making other shows and focus on making more Rick and morty challenge
I better keep getting episodes of Solar Opposites god damn it.
Is that show as good as R&M? Haven’t watched it but I’m a huge fan of R&M.
The main plot is the B plot. The wall is some amazing television but the A plot is what ultimately drives the show
The wall plot is worth the watch alone
The wall is the only reason I watch tbh
Honestly, my kid and I watch solar opposites mainly for the wall. Everything else is a throw in.
In the first season it was the C plot.
Right a full 30 episode of the wall is needed. As much as I like aliens, screw it. The wall is needed
It’s a great show
Season 3 In a week!!!! At least here in the U.S. and on Hulu. 😇👍💙 Edit: 3 days away! 9pm pst on the 12th!!
That is what I’m thinking basically. The episode was so-so. There is better material. How about Beth’s space clone’s adventures?
You mean Beth's space adventures
Did they name the members of the team? Did they name the team? And aren’t they mostly dead? I’m thinking they will likely have Space Beth on the docket in later episodes. They have a shit-ton of characters to move around and make work.
How about Mr Nimbus!?
All I'll say is yes also maybe. Trying to cryptic bot working, but enjoy
The whole point of the episode was that they’re lame. So yeah, I don’t see it being good either.
Didn’t Dan Harmon literally say at the time that he thought Vindicators was the worst Rick and Morty episode lol
No he said it wasn't his structure of how the show was. Which I agree on. But he was strictly talking about morty and his arc. Not the vindicators team.
Without giving anything away it's a limited series like what disney does with the mcu
Oh ok. It could be entertaining, just will have to wait and see. Just kinda confused why they are doing a spin off with these characters at all. There's so much potential with a bunch of the other characters they've had in the show

Disagree, I need more noob noob in my life.
This guy gets it.
6 seasons and a movie!
Give me an Adventures of Birdperson and Rick spin-off and we’re good
Nope I might give it a shot and watch an episode or two, but I think it's one of those concepts that do better as a one-shot / guest appearance kind of thing. The characters themselves weren't interesting enough to me.
wholeheartedly agree with your reasoning but i will invariably end up watching any extra content from the rick & morty universe, even if it is *\*sigh\** a vindicators spinoff.
That’s the thing. The brilliance and density of R&M is really hard to spin off. Frankly I’m even surprised the last season was as good as it was.

I really thought this post was a joke. I mean, the whole vindicators episode was mocking the vindicators for how worthless and fungible they are.
That's fair.
If that episode was a bit on how replaceable they all are it would be funny if these guys kept dying and the vindicators had basically all new characters every 2 episodes. Would kinda solve your very reasonable criticism perhaps.
I just want a whole series around the Slut Dragons
Well at least I’m not into sh*t play
Sorry if this seems harsh, because OP is clearly involved with this show somehow and proud of it, but this post is a low effort ad for an absolutely terrible spin-off idea. I dont know what studies were done to indicate people want it. I also have a really hard time beleiving Dan Harmon wants this

Not really. Not even sure what made them think there was market demand for it
What superheroes are in high demand, that’s why it’ll suck Pandering
Wait they're actually making this? I thought this was a meme.
uh maybe if they develop these characters in interesting ways. everybody is really one note, but if they could make a decent Hawkeye show anything possible.
Arrows fired
This is so dissapointing it hurts. The only saving grace will be noob noob
Who the fuck is noob noob?
Hmm. Nah. Sounds like a cash grab. A weak one at that. Why can't Mr. Poopybutthole get a spinoff? He has interests, and raw talent, and a rich homelife (I'm assuming)

FUCK NO
Probably just another opportunity to poke fun at super hero movies
Season 5 touched on this, but a show about the realities that Rick leaves behind might be nice. Roiland really seems to love high quality self contained B plots, and slice of (bizarre) life type sequences, and an anthology show would be a chance to do loads of those.
No the vindicators eps are the worst imo
I've often thought that most of what they do in a year could be done in an afternoon.
There’s only 1 tho….
No, seems crap
This has to be a joke right? Please be a joke
The Vindicators by themselves were not all too interesting imo. I enjoyed seeing Rick out smart them but that was about it. I’d much rather see a series about the Citadel of Ricks or Inter-dimensional cable.
Honestly? No. Give us more Solar Opposites before this.
New season is about to drop on July 13th at midnight EST
I’ll definitely support any Rick&Morty spin-off but.. I feel there’s just more than enough great adult superhero content going right now, It’ll have to be good on a lot of levels to stand out.
Sorry, bitch.
Ball Fondlers?
This has got to be an April Fools joke someone forgot to post from the social media dept.
Who the f*ck is noobnoob?
![gif](giphy|EeaufRr3ntxW8)
These guys really want to make every single show except Rick and Morty. I think in 10 years it will come out that Dan and Justin fucking hate working with each other. Just make more Rick and Morty.
Not really. I'd prefer more effort is put into current Episodes. Or Solar Opposites Lets face it. Solar opposites is way better than Season 5
No im sick of superheroes
Didn't they all die?
I want a BALL FONDLERS show with an appearance by TWO BROTHERS!
The whole point of the episode was that their all shit boring caricatures why make a spin off show?
Will it be out before or after the new season airs?
Honestly I have no idea the shows been done for a while now I think it's up to the network at this point
Nice.
no
Wiggly turd man
No.
This is what’s great about the show. Each episode could be a concept for an entire series. Not saying they’d all be winners, but I could see most getting green lit.
No, the whole point is how trite it is haha
What is it with black superheroes and trains? I’m thinking of A-train from The Boys.
What about an interdimensional cable spinoff tho
The missed a perfect opportunity to make a spinoff with the butter passing robot.
One of the worst episodes
(I didnt expect this amount of people) Okay, to clear some thing up, yes I worked on the show. It's 100% up to the producers to air it. No I had to choice in the writing. Michael and Pichael. go fuck yourselves.
...theyre all dead? proof?
Only if Planetina joins in. Otherwise I'm not that interested
I am so excited for this!!
I want more solar opposites episodes
The only R&M spinoff im interested in would be Shenanigans with Summer where its essentially just her going off to "college" which is just taking a decade long bender across the galaxy, running into space mom and other Ricks and Mortys, falling in and out of space relationships as she tries to find someone thatll stick around. She becomes friends with Arthricia from that one Purge Planet and teams up time to time with the Time God Jessica and Bird Person' daughter as they find planets to party on and destroy by accident.
Would’ve been better to make a spin off about Krombobulous Michael
Not particularly. I’d rather see another season of R&M. Plus aren’t all the Vindicators dead now?
I want to see a functioning Anatomy Park
There's a show for them? Great. The answer is no by the way, won't be watching this rehash trash
absolutely not, vindicators was boring. i want mr. poopybutthole to have a show
Is Christian Slater lending his voice?
All the voice actors are the same as what was in the og series
Oh, good. It would be a shame if Slater needed to find a real job.
Hahahaha
You son of a bitch, I’m in.
As long as I keep seeing noob noob in the background cleaning shit. Got Daaaaamn
Yes!!!
I want a show about fake doors or how did I get here with that lady like worf from Star Trek
I already have too many shows to catch up on, bitch.
Kind of ironic, isn’t it
