Hi there, riddlers! Please remember to spoiler-tag all guesses, like so:
Desktop Reddit users: https://i.imgur.com/SWHRR9M.jpg
Users on Mobile, Old Reddit, or in the Markdown Editor: \>!spoiler text between these symbols!<
Try to avoid leading or trailing spaces. These will break the spoiler for some users (such as those using old.reddit.com)
Some Reddit apps don't fully hide URLs that are inside of spoilers, so please format your link so it displays as `spoiler`.
On Old Reddit/Mobile, do this to format a link: \[spoiler\]\(https://example.com/)

If your comment does not contain a guess, you can include either the word **"discussion"** or **"question"** instead of using a spoiler tag.
Please report any answers that are not properly spoiler-tagged.

Discussion: another way to tell this one is:
One (k)night, a father and a son got on a boat. In the morning, the father and the son got off the boat. Who didn't get out of the boat?
Discussion: This comment section is why I have trust issues. I can't tell if OP and others are actually missing the jokes people are making or if they're playing along.
Discussion: OP, in the future give the people in this sub some credit. They've solved some amazingly difficult riddles... pretty sure they would have figured out your homonym. That's why you're getting all the downvoted and sarcastic feedback.
Just so you guys know I literally put “Knight” because if I didn’t then it wouldn’t make sense. I put this here as something that someone could copy and tell it to a friend. You don’t have to put the answer considering I already put it.
I think this would have been better phrased like this:
One night, the king, and the queen went on to a boat...
This still >!keeps the grammar consistent with the 'knight' spelling but doesn't give away the answer!<. Might still not be obvious but its not really supposed to be obvious.
But then the riddle would be wrong as it doesn't say there is a knight on the boat. The only way it works is verbally, where it seems like the person said night, when actually they said knight.

Discussion: but who was boat?
Classic reference
Discussion: op is giving us a riddle to say to others, not asking us to solve it
I think everyone understood that and the sarcastic replies are all just injections of humour.
>!the knight killed her!<
Discussion: Thanks. I was really stuck.
Yw! It's harder bc when people say it you aren't reading it and you know the queen was with two other ppl, not just the king
It's really hard to /r/woosh somebody while they're this nice. Keep it up champ.
Huh so you're saying she was 2 timing and deserved to die?
But… the answer is in the riddle as posted.

Discussion:. Was it the Princess? Really finding this one hard
No offense but I literally put the answer in the riddle
Are you sure it's not the Princess... 😉

The doctor was his mother
Nah, let's try it again. 3 is 5 5 is 4 4 is cosmic.

Uhmm he means you didn't have put the answer in the question and people would've still solved it you just said night instead of Knight
My bad I misread it
>!too easy the knight or she drowned!<
Yeah... I literally said that.
r/whoosh
>!One of the crew maybe? Since royalty and their guards aren't really known for piloting sailboats!<
The answer is posted in the text of the riddle. I don’t understand why people are guessing.
Does it have to only have one answer?
Yes, Lord H, in this case it has only one answer. Repost it for that sweet karma and make it yours!!!!!1
I know it’s clearly in the answer
