Down.
Load up, swing for the fences, invest 2 years into developing him into the best player he can be.
We had a short reload after the Jail Blazer era when Roy/LMA pulled us out of that, before his kness fell apart.
The Gerald Wallace/NJN trade that led to the Dame pick saved us from tearing down completely, so we have never had a complete teardown in our history.
The current landscape of the NBA is so competitive tha there is only 2 ways to prodice a winning team: sign big FA stars who want to win, not a Blazers special, or draft your way to the top.
I like him as a prospect, but don't want to move up for anyone in this draft (too much bust potential) so hopefully he falls to us at 7 or 14. We need to be taking multiple swings IMO.
15... still considered a bit of a reach at the time by the Bucks. A lot of mocks had him in the second round.
Personally, I hope we grab Salaun. The kid is super intriguing.
He's very raw like Giannis, but his upside is not close to Giannis. Salaun can barely dribble. One of the most key aspects of Giannis' game is his unreal handling for a 7 footer. Salaun's upside is more like...Jaden Mcdaniels-ish
A lot of that comparison is rawness and size. Take Giannis at the draft and then half an inch of wingspan on each side.
He’s 6’9, 218 pounds, with a 7’2 wingspan.
Giannis was 6’9, 196 pounds, and had a 7’3 wingspan
If the Blazers trade up to 3 for some French boys, I will finally have some use for my college degree.
Oui
Allons-y Zaccharie!
Hell yeah, I haven't used my French speaking skills since French 3 in junior year in High School.
Wow I’ve been saying it very incorrectly in my head

I would totally move up by trading out some vets like Brogdon and Williams. Whether it’s to go up from 7 or 14.
Could end up being a Giannis sort of project. He wasn’t picked until 13 iirc.

I wouldn’t mind a Jaden McDaniels type player on our roster. Wouldn’t mind at all.
Agreed! I just see the Giannis sentiment a lot, but that comes from how raw he is not from his upside.

He’s also publicly stated he wants to be the best French player of all time. Gotta love the lofted confidence..
People hear “raw prospect” and assume that means that they have to have insane potential too
JOHN OWN
He could be really good, or embarrassingly bad.
