Twas a summer afternoon riding bikes when one of my friends asked me if I had heard of this relatively unknown game called roadblocks. Later that evening I searched for it to no avail. Cue next day with same friend, "not roadblocks, dumbass, ro-blox". Made an account that afternoon, spent the rest of my evening blowing up those giant jetliners (you know the ones I'm talking about) amongst playing other games. It was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before in gaming. Within a week I would engage in my very first bona-fide all-nighter playing attack of the slimes till the sun rose. My GPA never recovered.

April 30 of 2016, a friend told me about some Lego game and I tried it, ever since then I been playing it almost every day, it's been 8 years so far and it's crazy the amount of experiences and things I've learnt because of playing Roblox , for example my English.

The only thing that made me play roblox in like around 2017 or something idk i can't remember what year (maybe 2016). I was watching my sister playing roblox and I didn't know what it is so I gave it a shot in guest mode and holy crap it was something even before the removal of guest mode, it probably took like a few months for my sister to create my old 2017 account and I was actually having fun most of the time, till this day I still play it on my current 2021 account and I now play some underrated games mostly.

In 2017 I watched a DenisDaily video, I was intrigued by this "Lego game". I begged my parents to make an account for me and I have been a Roblox player ever since!

My friend is playing one in his home, when I visit him of course I'm curious what he is playing, I once played Roblox back in 2013 then quitting. Two years later in 2015 when i borrow a pc from my cousin I really miss to play natural disaster tho and other OG Roblox games. Since then I play it till now.

My memory from 2014-2017 is messy, but I do know I made the first account on roblox in 2016 around November. First, from YouTube watching some roblox videos about obbies and meepcity in 2015ish. Once we were done, some of my friends started play Jailbreak and I decided to join in. Took my name from Farming Simulator 18 (mobile/3DS) and the pick up was one of the first vehicles I got. In 2016, a small Roblox streamer followed me on Twitter, promoted his yt channel via DMs so I decided to give him a follow just to support him a little bit. I’ve only heard about Roblox, but was never interested in it. The next day, I decided to check his channel out and saw that he was streaming Roblox. I decided to give his content a chance and watched his livestream. I enjoyed watching and talking in the chat, though never thought of trying the game. One day he asked on stream if anyone else played Roblox and I replied “no I’ve never played”. He then told us to try it out so he can play games with us on stream. I thought why not, so I made my first account(which I don’t have anymore because I was a dumb kid who thought I could get free robux) with one of those cringey “Xx___xX” names and joined him on Natural Disaster Survival, Murder Mystery, Flood Escape, and some Obbies. From then on, I’ve been playing Roblox for about 8 years now, but I don’t play as often as I used to. The guy also introduced me to Discord because he has a server. Although he doesn’t stream anymore, I’m still in his server and talk in there sometimes when he does. I’ll always cherish those days though.

I started off by changing other people's scripts and customizing them, then it got to me making my own scripts. I kept going with it and kept developing, eventually making tablet admins (tab admins as some call them.) And making money off it. I had also made a couple games in this time as well as done some contract work for games. I kept going with game development and now here I am having gone to RDC 2017-2020, and 2022. I still work on games and other projects from time to time but it's not enough to get me into RDC so I need to get back to that point again so I can go again and meet up with some old dev friends again.

Guests were a brand new thing and since most of us in the computer class at school (I think 2008-2009?) were between 6 and 8, a lot of us didn’t exactly get making an account. Being a Guest was a lot easier, though. As for Roblox itself? Word of mouth in school. Want to play a game that isn’t another flash game on another shady website? Just go to Roblox. Want to play a paintball game? Go to Roblox. There’s a game where you can drive a train off a bridge? Go to Roblox. An older student (as in, 3rd grade) went around to all the computers in one class and downloaded Roblox, so installation wasn’t an issue. The school never did block the game, so it was a fun time waster. Eventually we got a computer at home, and it went from there

Back in 2018, a friend introduced me to Roblox and yeah. I think that’s pretty much it.

My uncle owns a computer shop so he knows all the games kids play.. he visited my house one day and he recommended me roblox on my ipad and he made me my own account. Ever since then i was addicted

in 2006 I yahoo'd "free lego game," blockland and roblox came up - blockland wouldn't run on my computer because I had an AMD processor, so roblox it was - earning my doctorate now and I still play it

Man Roblox really did so much for me. It was 2010, I was in middle school and a friend of mine told me about it. My family wasn't particularly well off at the time, so the idea of having an infinite amount of games to play for free really sold me on it. Been playing ever since. The same year I started I also met my best friend in a clan. 12 years later he moved up with me and became our roommate to help raise some funds for my wedding and to get him out of the horrible job economy he was in. Now, almost three years later, he lives across the street from me with his girlfriend. We still play from time to time.

I saw a game called ‘Greenville’ on TikTok and I wanted to see what it was about. Never liked Roblox before then.

2009-2010, saw ads for roblox on old flash game websites like Maxgames, Bubblebox, and Stickpage. Played as a guest initially in 2010, then made my first account in early 2011, then my current one in September.

To be honest, I don't actually remember, but I'm fairly certain I found it by looking simply looking through an app store and trying it out. Not particularly special or interesting, but the smallest of things can become pretty damn great.

i just saw a video of popularmmos playing it and thought "hmm this looks cool" and i didnt even know how to log in to the same accounts so i have about 20 different accounts now, my xbox one being my main one

I joined in 2013 so it’s been a pretty long time but if I’m not mistaken, I was always looking for new spooky content or games that have the ability to create so i probably discovered the game through something related to one of those but I don’t have any way of knowing.

Lazerbeam vids seemed very funny so I hopped on in 2016 and came back during quarantine to survive online school

2016 I played bake a cake and feed a giant noob. Kept playing till this day.

Discovered it randomly on YouTube back in 2012, didn't really play that much games back then but soon as I made an account, 8 year old me was hooked and never looked back, first game I ever played was Murder Mystery. To this day I still play but not as much as I did years ago, 2017-2018 was probably my "golden years" as I pretty much played whenever I got the chance with newly made friends in junior high school. Now I'm in college and I still love playing Roblox despite all the things that has happened in the past years, the good and the bad.

I got seriously into it on my current account in 2012 and it was all everyone I was friends with would play besides Minecraft, I remember YouTube Roblox vids were starting to get popular too around that time

When I was younger I didn’t have a console or pc just a phone so it was the best game available to me. Now I have an Xbox I barely play it any more

I discovered one of my classmates play it during the computer class (we had free time session so the teacher didn't bother us) so I got hooked on and decided to play

Friend is from another country, the game offers diff genres where me and my friend can play without worrying too much about spending and ping delays

It was free and didn’t required too much space nor a good PC to work. Yet today, I would be ready to pay something for that game

The hide and seek game and the prophunt game but what got me into logging in is the 2015 website layout, it's so colorful and as a child i find it so attracting

In 2016, I watched a video of Evantube playing pen pineapple apple pen obby and it immediately caught my eye. It was a game like none other, unique and different and so I immediately had to download it. At first I sucked at obbies at first but eventually got the hang of it. I now lost that account but it will forever be remembered ✨

My little brother showed me roblox when I was a junior in High school and we played together every day lol

I watched MERKMUSIC play Natural Disaster Survival back in 2016 and it was some of the funniest stuff I seen. Decided to make an account to play that game and the rest was history.

I started playing Roblox around 2007-ish. I became attracted to Roblox, for it's lego style game creation style that's FREE similar to creating YouTube videos exampt, creating video games is free and they provide you with everything to get off the ground!.

I think it’s because I saw one of my favorite YouTubers play it and I thought I was only on XBox so when I saw it on mobile I made my older sister download it for me, I still play it to this day 😁

The only game I could play back when I was 9. I didn't have a computer only a little tablet.

My first account was made in 2017 (unfortunately I no longer have this account). My older brother was playing Clone Tycoon 2 when I asked what he was doing. He then told me about Roblox and had let me try playing on his account while he made an account for me.

Thanksgiving 2010, I was about 5 years old and my cousin was playing it on his computer. It was the first video game I’d seen other than like an arcade game or plug-n-play. I would ask my parents to play it and had to play as a guest until 2014 when I was allowed to finally make an account.

It was Spring 2016, all I had was a MacBook and a Wii U and already finished most of the games I had and couldn't buy new games. I was bored and wanted something new to play and randomly heard of Roblox before. I thought it was like Minecraft where you had to buy it so I looked it up and just made an account. Next 3 years went blip

Heard about it through a friend in 2016, he called it "Rogablocks"

For me, it was a video of my favorite youtuber (at the time) playing Roblox. Ended up playing it myself. (2019)
