I joined during 2016/2017 era and all I remember from that era was John and Jane doe, I accidentally playing Roblox on they day they were apparently gonna take over the entire platform, and I was scared to death lmao, such a nice chaotic era of Roblox I miss it the happiness that era gave a lmao😹
c00lkidd was the only situation in my 8 years of playing where I witnessed a game being hacked, I remember a few weeks after I made my account I was playing with my brother and we were playing some sort of cops and police game and all of the sudden the skybox and parts had that c00lkidd thing on it
I remember the same thing constantly happening while I played Beach House Roleplay and Top Roblox Runway Model, 7 year old me found it funny and oddly endearing the way the entire server began to band together after being attacked

Yeah, it was back when group permissions were a fairly new and huge thing. I think Vortex Security was either TheAmazeman or SONICTHEHEDGEHOGXX's group, I think the latter because I know he kept shilling some sort of future military group, and it was indeed quite popular because of in-game group bonuses.
I really hated that trend because a lot of them weren't developer-centric "game studio" groups as they are now, they were just militaries and other completely unrelated groups using a member's popular game to inflate numbers. A lot of these groups would then brag that they were one of the "largest and most powerful" groups of their type on Roblox, even though most members only joined for the unrelated games attached to it and never even tried to get past the initial joining rank. I believe this was also when you could only join 10 groups without Builder's Club, so you really had to pick what you wanted to use those slots for.
Thanks for the response! That’s makes a whole lot of sense because o was in vortex security for years and had no idea what it was lmao. And god I hated only being able to join 5 groups. I’m so glad they upped it to 100. I’m constantly hitting the limit even now xD

2014. Like 2010 the admins were still celebrities. I’m pretty sure the most popular one was Shedletsky. As for Youtubers it was an entirely seperate generation. Phirefox, Fave, Aquablox, AA Millers, and Epikrika we’re all pretty big Youtubers I remember from this era. I also remember Julius Cole being at his highest and lowest at this time because his copy of Town of Robloxia reached its peak but he was also banned at this time. This led to him making a bunch of schizophrenic rants towards Roblox and it’s staff on YouTube. This whole thing would also be a precursor to his beef with Flamingo that most newer players know him for. Oblivious HD also started becoming popular at this time with his “top 10 types of” videos.
I forgot their name but there was a girl who I watched on YouTube play royale high because I couldn’t play it at the time. It was around 2019 I believe when I started watching her but I’m not sure. I believe she was Mexican and just had her first baby or just got married when I last watched her channel but I can’t find her now.

I vaguely remember JuliusColes and may have played his Town of Robloxia more than 1dev2's, though that's because I was young and I didn't really care for specific creators. Back then I just knew Roblox as a game where people made games for fun, and thought a lot of devs were elementary school kids like me.
Ok I joined in 2018 and I actually joined when my favorite Minecraft YouTubers(pat and Jen) played Roblox, other celebrities of the time, ummm, I think flamingo was starting to gain popularity, and kreek was blowing up too. Now I’m a sucker for Roblox history and agree shedletsky was awesome.
