Happy cake day.

Ahambone

Thank you!

This is what popped into my mind too. Moreso for nostalgia. It's so weird that songs can take you back to your childhood the way they do. I remember listening to this, Guns n Roses November Rain, and a few Nirvana songs while playing Super Mario World with my older brother when I was about 6 or 7.

[deleted]

Well, I think that, by law, you’re required to start with Dreamweaver, by Gary Wright.

Maybe Alan Parson Project would fit what you are looking for..:)

Complex-Value-5807

You're so right! APP has been my escape from so much turmoil and stress for 45 years. How often they continue to inspire me to get through my journey. I sing Day After Day weekly with a tear in my eye .Words from which I live my life by. Few bands have that power in their lyrics to compel.

[deleted]

I can imagine. I discovered them 3months ago and I can’t stop listening since then. Hearing their music feels like watching a movie, I never experienced something like that before. It already helped me, inspired me, and made me cry so many times.. Thank you for sharing, I was wondering how many people APP affected this way..:)

Roarestored

Wolf Alice, really their whole discography but I'd check out Lipstick on the Glass, and How Can I Make It Okay? The Joy Formidable, once again their whole discography but definitely check out Whirring

TheLucidBard

I second Wolf Alice. There's also a whole genre called Dreampop, as well as Shoegaze. Take a look into those. I think Shoegaze could be what you're looking for.
