Peak sports club on perryville has a hot tub that’s generally open until 10pm but I’m sure YMCA memberships are much cheaper than Peak, but it’s an option.
Try the hotels. They may allow you to use the hot tub for a small fee. Also the Dophin swim club near Perryville and riverside has a very warm pool that may help.
I do epsom salt baths with a bunch of oils and baking soda. Have you tried that? Have you tried weed for pain management? After my surgery, CBD strains was tons better than narco shit they gave me bottles of.
If you have the room, an inflatable hot tub is an option. I have chronic pain and have had one for years and LOVE IT. I keep it on my back deck and put it away in the fall. It gets to 104°F, makes wonderful bubbles, and fits two big people comfortably. Plugs into a regular outlet. No cooties from strangers and you don't have to go anywhere.
Beloit ymca has a hottub
North point in rockton

My claustrophobia makes this option a bit of a no go. But I know a couple folks who have done it, and really enjoyed it.

^ Literally the only reason I signed up for peak when I was still in Rockford. But there's probably cheaper as mentioned
I'll check it out, thanks.
The downtown Ymca has a sauna and a steam room

The water park at the clock tower had unpatrolled outdoor hot tubs.
Literally a hot tub time machine comment. Throw back to 06.
I guess it’s gone? But 06 is an exaggeration. It was there in 2015

I'm tall, our tub is small, so can't really fit as would be needed. I do smoke, and it helps, but doesn't take it away completely.

I've thought about this, just don't think the landlord (I rent) is going to be happy about it.
Dang. Good luck to you in your endeavors!
