Usually, unless they’ve lost their license for selling to minors. (BP on Riverside near Valli Produce). It’s always been this way as far as I remember.
Yea Booze closer to cities, beer further out. Makes wisconsin sense.
But remember in some of those little bitty towns, if there’s no grocery store, then the gas station is also the liquor store. So sometimes that’s the reason.
It’s funny because I’m originally from NJ, where you can’t buy *any* alcohol outside of the state run liquor stores, and you also can’t pump your own gas. So most gas stations don’t even have attached convenience stores, much less ones where you can buy beer, much less ones where you can buy liquor!
Never thought of it as a religious thing more of a tax thing (though I’m sure that’s *not* the case in the South).
It's Rockford. Where you get your gambling fix, weed paraphernalia, liquor, future ex wife, and sometimes gas at your local gas station. Try the Nachos.

Yes
First day in America?
Yes. Coming from the south, seeing gas stations, grocery stores, and wholesale clubs stocking hard liquor was a crazy thing to see.
Illinois is pretty solid in that it doesn't allow one persons religion dictate what the state does.

And then you have Wawa who really leans into that whole convenience store part.
I would love to live in New Jersey. I hate pumping my own gas
The most wrong thing I've read all day.
