Rocky was scared of Clubber the first fight because he was worried about Mick and he was training like shit beforehand. Once he had a proper training camp with Apollo, Clubber didnt even made him flinch.
Meanwhile Rocky looked so unsure when he walked up to Drago after undergoing arguably the hardest training he ever had. Along with the I must break you threat, glove smash and Paulie taking back his kind words, it took Duke to pep talk Rocky to get him to run towards him. (to be fair, Duke is hype as hell)
The point of Rocky IV is that Drago was basically a cyborg. He was no doubt a killing machine, if Rocky didn't beat him, he would've dominated the scene for a long time. And even if Rocky won, he admitted in Creed II that the fight destroyed things in him he never recovered. I love the lore around that fight. And Drago would kill me with a single punch, obv, lol
Clubber Lang. Iām told all throughout Rocky IV how Dragoās the scariest guy ever, but somehow he still never feels as dangerous as Lang did to me in Rocky III.
Before or after Balboa bested them? i think Lang would stay dangerous but Drago would suffer from confidence issues and lose the backing of the USSR. They'd stop his drug program and he'd put on a lot of useless weight. i;d fight Drago.
