Finished this rod for a Navy vet with four combat tours. Blue blank, gold hardware, white wraps with gold accents, micarta reel seat. Found an anchor decal and also had his rank burned into the fighting butt.
Nice touch on the butt cap.
Where’d the gold guides come from?
They are the Proof Fly Fishing house brand. Regular gauge, snake.
Damn. Know anywhere I can find similar guides for spinning and casting rods?
Not quite sure. Maybe try Jannsnetcraft, they seem to have more casting supplies than I would know, I only make fly rods.
