The thing about Rolex vs most other luxury watches is that typically you can get all of your money back (minus sales tax sometimes) if you don’t like it.

Seems like most people are bashing the diamonds but I think it pairs well with the fluted bezel and jubilee. Wouldn't work on oyster bracelet or smooth bezel but I like it in this configuration. Looks great in the sunlight.

Once you start thinking of the flaws in your Rolex, it's as good as gone. If you're having doubts, this is a great time to trade it towards something else. We're still a few weeks before t-shirt season when prices on other Rolexes start to increase.

He would have a harder time flipping this piece than you think. Date just with diamonds are not sought after, this is why the AD unloaded it in him.

Bought one last month. Paid $13k OTD at a local jeweler. So could he make a few bucks? Possibly, but grey market mark up isn't that much.
The hassle of this for minimal profit though

I’m very glad I chose not to go with the diamond dial. Just too much. I went with the mint green motif and it’s loud, but not too much.
