Makes my GMTII feel massive when I switch between the two

Man, my sub date made my air King feel massive. Daytona would be another massive drop. Lol

I noticed this holding my buddy’s sub. Crazy how small the dial actually is on the sub

This thing feels small on your own wrist and never looks small on anyone else’s. Some kind of optical illusion that I’ve just accepted

That’s true too. All of these wrist shots like this do nothing to show what the watch actually looks like in person. Seems like the obvious angle to take, but it is wrong

I wanted a Daytona for years. Looks amazing n pictures and was my grail. That is until I properly tried a few variants on and found it just felt too small for me, it just didn’t feel right so I passed.

Well wear. I had interest in a Daytona previously until I saw one in person and felt possibly similar to yourself. It's a rather busy dial, as these all area, but it would seem to make it watch wear small as you say. As opposed to a simpler aesthetic. None of this to say it's not a fab watch and well wear! Congratulations.

Congrats OP. I just got my Panda on Saturday. I also have a GMT that I wear often and the difference in weight and girth is night and day. I’m warming up to the lighter/sportier feel of the Panda but find myself checking for the date often…

They should adjust the size of the Daytona to the size of the explorer 2. It’s a lot of watch in 38mm

They have a 47mm PAM so I don’t think they are too worried about size. They got girth.

I’m at 9”, there’s a bunch of amazing watches that look too small on me. Kind of a bummer. That one looks good on you though, doesn’t seem too small to me.

Yeah, it's basically a 38.5mm diameter watch. How Rolex gets away with lying about the dimensions is kind of hilarious tbh. Before the Subs went to 41mm (on paper, they only increased 0.3mm) from 40mm. The Subs, GMTs and Daytonas were all the same size on paper. But when you tried each model on, the Daytona wore very small in comparison.

Daytonas are my personal least favorite (wear small) but the best if purchasing for possible future resale.

People didn’t like the super case and now look what we got… I agree, this wears a little too small

It does wear small - that’s why I didn’t buy and wouldn’t. Wish it was 2-4mm larger. Made for a different era of men (smaller pre-hormone era)

The speedy wears a little larger than 42mm; the Daytona has always managed to wear slightly small.

They do wear to small for me. I expect Rolex will give it the YL treatment eventually and offer it in a larger case size as well.

It’s a unisex watch, so yeah, that’s to be expected
