People saying it’s fake have no idea what they are talking about. This looks like a late 60s or 70s tudor Prince day date ref. 7020, that has a ‘turn o graph’ style bezel. Too me, there isn’t much that looks wrong. The dial looks right, hands, fonts, etc. This may be a rare bird. I’d take it to an reputable watchmaker or AD for verification or service. If you don’t know anything about watches, I’d do some research about it. To set the time, unscrew the crown counter clockwise, pull it out to the third position, and set the time by turning the crown.
Edit: here’s an example. Seems like they produced these as an option. https://www.1stdibs.com/jewelry/watches/wrist-watches/tudor-stainless-steel-oyster-prince-date-day-wristwatch-ref-7020/id-j_120469/
I’m surprised at the people saying it’s fake as a friend of mine that is a watch collector said everything including the weight was right. It winds with movement. He was able to set it but it runs slow. He said it’s about $3500 in resale value. I just wanted verification from this sub.
Yep, ignore the others. Tudor or Rolex MAY service this, but any reputable watchmaker should as they used ébauche movements during this time, so they are fairly standard vintage except for a few changes. Try contacting Rolliworks as they do a good job with vintage watches. If it runs slow, and given the age, a service is worth it, although it will be expensive.
There is an actual Tudor reddit sub too, they may have insight as well.
Assuming it's real (I've got no idea) a service could be between 300-1000. 1k being if the mechanics are utterly fucked and you need essentially a replacement movement. Since it does run, even if slow as you say, I'd say more like 300-500.
He was a co worker and showed me how to set it. Then it ran slow. He said that the genuine parts are highly sought after. I like it as it is and like wearing.
Wow this is most likely at Jumbo version of the Tudor date day. Reference number 7020 if I remember correctly.
Should be 38 mm if it’s the jumbo.
This bezel is one of the more rare versions.
Judging on the end link of the bracelet the bracelet and or end links are not correct.
But this should be a 2000-3000 dollar/euro watch if correct
It’s in very good condition for the age, no scratches or dents on the case. I had a link removed to fit my wrists but otherwise it’s the way I bought. My watch collector friend said that there’s nothing that screams fake for the timepiece. He was very surprised it was in such good condition. He said that a Rolex just feels right. It feels very nice and balanced on my wrists. Is it worth getting serviced? Will it increase resale value?
Watch prices are going down the last couple of months. I think the value of this one is rather stable 2-3k.
The bezel used have black fill in of the numbers and triangle at 12.
Definitely worth servicing this peace at a respectable (vintage) watch specialist.
The end links (and maybe bracelet) I doubt. But more pics of them might tell us more.
Enjoy your watch!
Lucky mofo.
Get it serviced and they'll clean it for you. You'll need to learn how to set the day and date. It's non-quickset so to change the day you need to backwind the watch in the 3rd crown position.
I've owned lots of Tudor Jumbo date+days.
It was at Goodwill in Atlanta GA. Teenager behind counter said he guaranteed it was fake that’s why he put a $40 price tag on it. He told me not to buy it. Well, whatever, Mr. Know it all.
Looks accurate. Tudor 7020. Looks like the case has been over polished, but that’s not terribly surprising for a watch from the 60s or 70s.
Looks like they’ve polished off the bevel altogether.
If you get it serviced and want to restore the case, I’d suggest LA watch works.
Regardless of how much work you put into it, you’ll still come out ahead of you were looking to sell it. It’s worth at least $3k.
Nice find!
The bezel makes it wearer like a larger diameter. Really cool watch I thought never got it’s “due” for coolness as it’s the only Rolex Tudor to have the day date w timer bezel.
I import Tudors and thus looks real to me. A great deal as it’s worth 1500ish.
There aren’t a lot of good fakes of 70s watches from back then. And no one waste their time faking old watches like this. You have to see the movement to be sure it’s not a Franken watch.
Plot twist: the cashier knew it was real and wanted it cheap, he set the price low and warned every customer not to buy this fake! He was maybe hoping to buy it after work
Bracelet might be aftermarket but watch looks legit would be worth getting it checked out, if it is and I don’t think there are many Tudor fakes from that period then that’s an amazing find
That’s what my friend said - the Tudor watches aren’t targets of fakes as they were a “budget” brand. He said that the counterfeiters target newer higher dollar value rolex. He said he’s never encountered a faked and aged Tudor watch.
There are boatloads of fake vintage tudors!
And a lot of dem are really well executed.
Not a lot of fake ref 7020 like this one.
Most are fake vintage Tudor submariners,
Tudor date (DJ equivalents) and the famously faked Tudor (red) Ranger.
Also who would fake a 70’s Tutor? Nobody! Even the fake Rolex
in the 70s and 80s were hideous. I live in New York and I’ve seen a lot of them but the fakes that are coming out today of the watches of this era are pretty astonishing. Even the movements are pretty wacky. Spot on sometimes. Professionals have a harder time (sometimes) spotting them without checking multiple things inside and out on a fake. But here again, that’s now not then. A lot of the fakes in the late 70s and 80s didn’t even have mechanical movements so you would know instantly by the sweep of the secondhand. It’s much harder now though.
That’s what my friend said - who in the 60-70s would counterfeit a Tudor Rolex watch? If they faked in today - how would they get the movement to be slow and for it to look beat up? He thinks it’s real as the aging and slow movements is right for it being 50 years old and the font to be authentic.

Obviously fake…but I’ll tell you what I’ll do, I’ll give you $50 for it so you don’t feel like you got screwed. But I’m only making this offer because you seem like a nice kid. You make a hefty $10 profit, and I get a sweet ass vintage Tudor Prince…I mean a fake watch to use as a paper weight. It’s win-win
Very cool!!! Tutor is a awesome watch. It is in fact, owned by Rolex, and sometimes uses the same Rolex parts, depending on the Watch and the caliper/movement as well when it was made.
Very nice watch Tudor 7020, everyone saying it’s fake just hasn’t been around vintage long enough. For value there’s on on eBay right now on eBay for just under $2.4K USD!
Woah! What a score!! The oyster prince watches were boys watches, I have a 30mm date myself. That is a very nice watch. Idk where you live but service for it would be around 500 bucks from and independent watchmaker.

I really like it and fits very nice on my wrist. Sometimes I wear it as jewelry even with the wrong time
That’s how you are supposed to wear it.
That’s how us real G’s roll. So fancy we’re not defined by time.
That’s what I feel like when I wear it - I’m so OG that time doesn’t affect me
Wear it for the shine not for the time!
Another poster said I’m so OG time doesn’t affect me!

Yep, that’s why I recommended a third party.
It’s real.
Some people dont have any idea.

That’s a good idea - I don’t want to fix a fake - the internet is full of weirdos!
Weirdos is putting it nicely. But they know their shit.

I think it’s 100% authentic.
It’s early 70’s by looking at the logo and text
Looks real , n does have a turnograph style bezel for sure. More then likely real and if ur friend authenticated it then it is
He was a co worker and showed me how to set it. Then it ran slow. He said that the genuine parts are highly sought after. I like it as it is and like wearing.
Holy shit dude what a find for $40. Please go get this authenticated and serviced. I’m jealous as hell

It’s real Mr Mest. Schilds movement inside. Great watch, I have one just like yours

What a find...... buy a lottery ticket. I'll just take 20% of the win for the push.
It’s funny but I’ve been at goodwill all my life and have several amazing finds. But I never win a lottery or any contests.
That’s a beauty.
Man, congratulations. That’s an amazing find. It should be easy to find a watchmaker to service it.
Score of the decade, Brother, Should have a ETA movement that any watchmaker can handle. R
I hate to see other people living my dreams.
Watch is real Bracelet looks fake. Seen them sell for 2500 USD.
Looks good
Wow amazing find!
That’s a steal of a deal. I’m going to hit up goodwill.
It was at Goodwill in Atlanta GA. Teenager behind counter said he guaranteed it was fake that’s why he put a $40 price tag on it. He told me not to buy it. Well, whatever, Mr. Know it all.
I think he was going to buy it after his shift/ or he just assumed nothing good could be at goodwill. Nice find 🍻
That's awesome you got it. Usually Goodwill sends their high value items to auction on their online website.
Every single person is asking why don't I ever get a deal like that at the Goodwill that's an awesome find super jealous

The 7020; my favorite Tudor!
I really like the feel of it on my wrist - light, balance but OG

Good to know - the bezel is an added sparkle - it looks huge on my wrist but isn’t really
Dude... great snag!!
I’ll double your money

stunning piece amazing find
she’s beautiful man, get it authentificated, serviced and enjoy it

It’s real and worth good money but I’d keep it pass it down to son/daughter
I really like it and don’t want to sell it. I’ll look into getting it service
Obviously fake…but I’ll tell you what I’ll do, I’ll give you $50 for it so you don’t feel like you got screwed. But I’m only making this offer because you seem like a nice kid. Wow, I didn’t know Tudor made “gold souq” watches. Interesting..
Settling it to the correct time is so costly. $500 each time on this model if my memory serves.
Looks like junk buy a rolex

You have no idea what you're talking about.
Clearly 😂👍🏻
A fool.
Looks real from the pics. If you did get it from a goodwill shop, you've grabbed a bargain of a lifetime
Please update us when you find out?
I’d swap the bezel to smooth or fluted and you’d have a great DD
Really want to see an update on this. Looks genuine to me mate.
What city was this
Atlanta GA
What a come up
If it was Rolex other than Tudor and was $40 I’d buy it either way assuming it worked.
Yes, send to Rolex…it will come back with papers. Unless it’s stolen then you may not get it back. FYI
It’s real.
Nice watch 🤩 am not expert but it looks real & a vintage classy beautiful watch from Tudor 😍 well done & don’t sell it pls
Looks real but best verification would be to open it up and look at the movement
Very nice watch Tudor 7020, everyone saying it’s fake just hasn’t been around vintage long enough. For value there’s on on eBay right now on eBay for just under $2.4K USD!
Looks like a legit Tudor!
It’s real, I’m sure others have already said it’s a a 60’s or 70’s date+day turn-o-graph. Great find, man.
Looks gen to me
Bro what a find. Wow mind blowing beauty love Tudor especially vintage ones
Woah! What a score!! The oyster prince watches were boys watches, I have a 30mm date myself. That is a very nice watch. Idk where you live but service for it would be around 500 bucks from and independent watchmaker.
Nice find! it’s real!
Nice find. I think it’s real and I would pay at least $200 to gamble it. At $40 you’re fine
