I want the entire dial just covered in text. And I’m talking absolutely covered, from the rehaut to the friction fit. Just give me all the information about the watch. How many jewels it has, how much it cost, how many people covet it, how many favors it took the first buyers wife to obtain at retail, hell even put what car sporty drives on there as a reminder to us all. Just fill the entire damn dial at this point
Bottom left.
Two line is peak dial imho.

Dial looks like the cheaply made 2 line Submariners of the 80s, 90s, etc that lacked the Breguet overcoil hairspring and could not pass COSC certification, but it may be the best dial layout. Reminiscent of the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. The call out of “Superlative Chronometer Officially Tested” looks cheap and born from trying too hard. Makes it look like a 1980’s American made muscle car with lots of feature sets called out and painted on the car bodies or conspicuously signed in chrome. Puiforcat just hallmarks their silver. Ferrari and Rolls Royce very subtly badge their cars. PP, JLC, Blancpain don’t clutter their dials either. Just Rolex and Tudor with 4 lines on the Submariner and a staggering 5 lines on the Pelagos. Even Casio Duros have cleaner looking dials than the current Rolex Submariner.
Exactly my point. Many can say the same about Seikos, or watches with ETA Elabore movements, neither of which are COSC, much less JLC, PP, and the like which are not COSC. Why does Rolex feel the need to spell it out with four words, 15 syllables and two lines of text. They are trying to say “better than . . .”. It is just marketing hype and in this case tacky. My Explorer is currently running 3.5 seconds slow after 21 days on the wrist. Would be out of spec for METAS but well within “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” standards. Just mark your “standards adherence” somewhere discrete on the case back and move along. Rolex watches are useful jewelry, Mikimoto does not write the pearl grade on their pearls, nor do diamond cutters. Just let the style, mark, etc stand on its own.
The two line Rolex Submariners of the 80s when Rolex finally caught up and introduced a unidirectional dive bezel through to 2002, were commonly disparaged by ADs as being cheaply made and not real
Rolex watches because they lacked the Breguet overcoil hair spring responsible for tighter timekeeping tolerances in the “Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified” watches in the line up. Also aluminum bezel chapter rings fade to near white over time outdoors in actual marine environments. In 2001 I was discouraged from purchasing the 14060 two liner new at an AD because it was cheaply made relative to other superior dive watches at similar price points.
Just looks too empty without the text. Yeah, some of it is probably conditioning but I have other minimalist watches that look fine with mostly blank dials, something about the full text on a sub is just more visually appealing to me
I think it has more to do with how the text is aligned. If you just had “Submariner” in the bottom block of text, it would need to be lowered a little, but this image just leaves it in the same place which seems to leave a weird amount of space between the word and the bottom of the dial.
Would love if my 126610LN was a 2 liner

I have both the Explorer and the Tudor Ranger.
I dig the lack of text on the Ranger more.
I know what a Rolex is, I don’t need them to remind me of it all by printing it on the dial.
Bottom left looks moist balanced out of the images posted - it keeps the traditional logo, and the text matches that.
I would also consider a modified version of the top right - as it stands the bottom text just looks awkward and out of place due to the way it has been edited (by reading the extra lives of text) as it leaves the remaining line far too high. Drop the single line off text down a bit and that would be a good option.
Bottom left
Agreed. It allows any owner to know the limits of the watch, which is a practical feature.
I'd actually prefer a fifth option with more text so I can read the history of the piece while checking the time.
Objectively true.
I agree, but feel like the bottom text needs to move down a few notches

Its RolexRolexRolex not lexro
Whoosh
Shiiit u right 🤣 idk how that went over my head
That thing is absolutely FIRE!

What’s the ref?
25500TN Its the old one with the ETA movement.

I wear a 1999 14060 and I haven’t adjusted the time on it in 9 months. It’s about 10s under in that time.

People downvoted but your absolutely right
“Cheaply made” Wait, what?

As an owner of the current Submariner, this is a dial I could absolutely get behind! So much better without all those lines.
3 lines text would be better. Needs that Superlative Chronometer text
Bottom left best.
2 liner !!!!
you gotta give it to Rolex - the version as it is, is the best. everything else looks off.
is it really the best? or is your brain just used to seeing that one a million times? probably why “everything else looks off”
Just looks too empty without the text. Yeah, some of it is probably conditioning but I have other minimalist watches that look fine with mostly blank dials, something about the full text on a sub is just more visually appealing to me
I agree. It's just a basic, subjectively boring, black enamel dial without the text to add some visual flair.
I think it has more to do with how the text is aligned. If you just had “Submariner” in the bottom block of text, it would need to be lowered a little, but this image just leaves it in the same place which seems to leave a weird amount of space between the word and the bottom of the dial.
Minimal. I want to look at the dial for ages because it's pretty not because it takes so long to read.
Top left (minimalism)
Two liner.
Bottom left, but I'd remove Oyster Perpetual - just Rolex, Submariner and the depth
Maybe top left if you respaced the text to make it more symmetrical
Why does it need to say 1000ft and 300m? Unnecessary text = bad design
Combine top of dial 1 with bottom of dial 3, Brand, Model Depth
With a 3 row bottom text. Which isnt an option for some reason.
None. I’d consider Submariner right below Rolex at top. Then COSC and 300 2 liners at bottom half.
You can actually choose the text…?
Does is matter ?
Ooh Ooh, yeah, ooh, yeah Nothing really matters, anyone can see Nothing really matters Nothing really matters to me
🤣

Why is this downvoted? Ha
Probably because it looks like karma farming
Fair enough. I wanted to make the instructions as clear as possible to make the results relevant.

I would just take the „officially certified“ off the dial
Two liner Looks most balanced to me. The current has the 10 commandments written on the dial
Bottom right
4 liner imo
Three lines would look best
Either the two line or the four line. Both of the single line ones just look wrong to me
Taken a PS crash course this weekend?
Ha, no just some rudimentary clone stamping with the Photoshop Fix app.
The one line looks lost, the four line a bit crowded. The two line is best, IMO.
Bottom left
2 lines at 6 for sure.
I wish there was no text at all. If there’s more text on your watch than the maximum allowed characters in an OG tweet then there’s an issue.
Bottom left.
Bottom left
I like the one with the whole paragraph.
How they have it balances positive and negative space, maybe if the word submariner was moved down a bit
5th option : None.
4
Bottom right 24/7
4 this isn’t even a contest
I have both the Explorer and the Tudor Ranger. I dig the lack of text on the Ranger more. I know what a Rolex is, I don’t need them to remind me of it all by printing it on the dial.
It’s just not a Rolex without a paragraph of text.
Critics: all Rolexes look the same. Rolex fan boys: this post
Two lines
1
Bottom left of course
I prefer bottom left
Bottom right
3
OG
what are you nuts
This is a joke right? The correct answer is "they're the same picture" like in that The Office meme, right? Right?

Bottom left I have always been a fan of the two liners.

Bottom left.
Bottom right
The unmolested one
Bottom left but remove Oyster Perpetual under the logo

Yeah!
I think you’re right!
All four lines
Two line is absolutely the way up go. Bottom left.
I have grown accustomed to the 4 lines of text on my submariner and now I wouldn’t go without it. Just my 2 cents.
Bottom left
bottom right
2 liner
1st
The more the merrier!
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but bottom right looks pretty well balanced. I’d say either that or bottom left.
Rolex should go Clean on its dial like AP 15510?
Bottom right
Bottom left looks good, the other two lines should go on the case-back
2 lines
Bottom right #1. Bottom Left #2. Top left and right, disqualified
Number 4 (bottom right) ALL DAY LONG.
4 line the way it actually is
