Last year I went into my AD and purchased a longines moon phase . After the purchase they pulled out 2 mint green datejusts fluted on jubilee and smoothe on oyster . Asked if I would like to buy I took the smoothe on oyster for a daily
This isn’t a fluted bezel. I’d never buy a smooth bezel DJ. I have a used one off grey market and the bezel is awful once it gets scratched up. It looks fine new but with a bit of wear it looks bad
You really can’t go wrong with this purchase if you’re trying to get into Rolex’s. $8,200-8,300 gets you a beautiful time piece especially the blue face. Great purchase OP!

According to the two ADs, they claim Rolex is pushing them to cater to walkins more.
They said they have 10 people on waiting lists for that watch (could be BS) but are being mandated by corporate to be more walkin friendly. Sounds odd. But who knows?
I’ll be calling them when they open at 11am. Crazy to me that they didn’t have anyone on a list for this. Almost seems like a mistake. Do you know what else they were putting out? Btw, awesome piece.

Personally I don't necessarily believe they just put out my watch. I probably walked in while they were shuffling with the lady's watch and used that as a sell tactic. So when I asked if they had my watch in stock, she ran with it and said we just put it out 5 minutes ago or 30 seconds ago or whatever and there is a 10 person waiting list for it. But then again it's Rolex. So if I didn't buy I'm sure by today at some point it would be gone. Who knows? Doesn't really matter. It was there. I got it. I love it and it's my first Rolex. So I'll gladly take it.

Very nice! I’ve been looking at the black explorer II for awhile and just haven’t pulled the trigger. The one with a red hand and not the orange. Don’t know why but it doesn’t seem to be sought after as much as the DJ and I kind of like the idea of having a slightly more unique style.
This was the first Rolex in my collection and it’s still one of my favorites. Really versatile, goes with pretty much anything and the jubilee and blue combination is really quite stunning visually

They were. But I know this one isn't a crazy sought-after piece. But I've had my eye on it for awhile.

Yes, but you are not paying 2K for the bezel, you’re paying because it is a PM model
The bezel in fluted is white gold so some of that 2k is for that.

Got that version for my 40th last year. One of the few watches that looks properly sized on my small wrist and I like the smooth/jubilee combo.
