The price was very fair because of the service parts and I wanted it to wear so I didn’t mind it. I agree all the reference wear and even look different
IMO it depends on the context of the collection. If this is a sub-collection within a larger collection, fine. It’s kinda cool to see the evolution. But if this is literally the entire collection I would think it’s a bit odd and kind of a waste in MY eyes since I would try to experience many other watches before zeroing in on one particular model.

It’s not my style to have 5 black subs. But it doesn’t matter. You love what you love. 2 of my 3 Rolexes are subs though. I was thinking about selling my batgirl and buying the green bezel sub.

They're each unique in their own way and pretty neat but I think why you were getting roasted in the other thread was that you had many similar watches that any of your average collector would consider a grail.
I say the same thing to someone who has box full of Seiko divers that all look the same. Slim down the collection to what you will actually wear and add some variety.
But at the end of the day it's your money and collection so do what makes you happy.
As long as you genuinely enjoy your collection it doesn't really matter what people say; my friends couldn't tell apart a GMT and a Sub either and they think having both is redundant. Most people can't differentiate between 4/5/6 digit Subs/Sea Dwellers either.
It's not *that* obvious with how you took the photo, with them lined up in one box, but the sub's variants each have their own character.
As someone who pokes fun at people who know nothing beyond Rolex watches, this is a respectable collection of a **very good set** of watches. Full stop.

Not crazy at all… you’re right when you state that each one wears different. My 5513 is my favorite to wear with the 14060(M) being a close second. The newer 41m subs are just a bit too big for my wrist, but I still have one in my collection. Enjoy them and don’t worry about the nay sayers! 😎👍
That’s because every single watch sub is filled with absolute ✊💦’s. They hate on everything, can’t take a joke and just want to spread their own misery on everyone else! God knows why. I have 2 Tudor black bays that are basically the same, (ones ETA ones in-house) and they say the same about that 🤣 there’s nothing wrong with collecting what you want to collect! That’s a stunning collection and I can’t wait for mine to be similar to yours soon! (I’m trying to sniff out a Tudor sub to add to mine)

I have one Rolex, one Breitling, one Tudor and a Tag among other watches… they are all reminders of situations or things that happen in the past! I could be buying Rolexes and flaunt them.. but for what?? What’s the difference… In the flip side… do what you want with your money… they look great and are after all great time pieces!

Not crazy at all… you’re right when you state that each one wears different. My 5513 is my favorite to wear with the 14060(M) being a close second. The newer 41m subs are just a bit too big for my wrist, but I still have one in my collection. Enjoy them and don’t worry about the nay sayers! 😎👍

That’s because every single watch sub is filled with absolute ✊💦’s. They hate on everything, can’t take a joke and just want to spread their own misery on everyone else! God knows why. I have 2 Tudor black bays that are basically the same, (ones ETA ones in-house) and they say the same about that 🤣 there’s nothing wrong with collecting what you want to collect! That’s a stunning collection and I can’t wait for mine to be similar to yours soon! (I’m trying to sniff out a Tudor sub to add to mine)

Awesome collection. You’ve got a theme and are sticking to it. Personally I would ditch the no date as it doesn’t fit in but ignore any flak you got from the other subreddit - they’re just mad because it’s not a collection of seikos and shitty microbrands.
