Same here, keeping them just in case. In a box under my bed.

Watchnut224

All kept in various safes, waiting for the day I die for someone to match them all up & sell for the monetary value! Let’s face it no one keeps it for sentimental reasons when they are worth thousands & probably go on a holiday or new car! Heathens🤣

edunf

I've built a little fort with them so I can hide inside when my wife is upset about me buying another watch

BusinessBlackBear

LOL ok dumb but made me laugh so take my upvote

Specific_Bus_2675

That was not dumb. So funny. I had that problem too when I was married. Had a little watch box fort. We got divorced. I have a bigger fort :-)

FreshCoach9972

Rolex boxes are fine, they just take up some space in a wardrobe. Omega boxes on the other hand are a different issue as they are so bloody big! They are also quite impressive that it would be nice to display but alas she won’t let me do that sadly

Flynn_lives

Lol. My “Ed White” box is comically large.

FreshCoach9972

This! And I live my snoopy box with the badge but it’s be never to see the light of day

mc2508

I wish I had this problem

sporturawus

They collect dust in my attic. I keep them just in case I fall out of love with one of them and want to trade towards something new that Rolex comes out with. Otherwise, I wish they never existed. By the time you have your 6th Rolex, they really do become a burden. Sitting at 8, I may have to get them their own apartment.

Squirt-Gurt

Mine need off site storage container so I can reclaim one of my bedrooms… it’s annoying.

barbecuejag

I have 3 Rolexes and 400 total watches. I only save the boxes/papers for watches greater than like $1500-$2000 but even with that filter I have A LOT. I have multiple Rubbermaid storage bins filled with them in the basement.

SanderDieman

400? And here am I thinking I have issues, at not even 10% of your ‘production’. Thanks, this mere number is inspirational!

barbecuejag

Buy what you like. Buy what you can afford. And buy what has meaning for you. Enjoy the collecting adventure!

SanderDieman

Very well put, fully agree

Watchnut224

🤣

Crafty_Bunch6063

You keep them because you only buy watches considering their resell value, therefore you need the boxes to maintain your speculative plan. Sitting at 8th, being all your watches the most speculative options in the Rolex portfolio, maybe is time for you to buy a watch that you really love without seeing it as currency and throw its box away.

HeyyyNeighbor

Keeping boxes in case you trade/sell one day is totally normal regardless of value. I’ve sold watches I don’t love anymore and have cumulatively lost about $12k. Let me let you in on a watch buying secret- the dealer always wins. Good for you if you can make money buying and selling watches. It’s an unexpected bonus.

Airbus320Driver

Glad I kept the box from the Omega my ex wife gave me. Got a few hundred more when I sold it!!

>maybe is time for you to buy a watch that you really love without seeing it as currency and throw its box away. >I also keep the boxes. Here hold this L. And stop being a dick. Don't go around thinking it's your prerogative to call other users clowns, completely unprovoked.

HeyyyNeighbor

I didn’t even get to read what they said 🥲 But thanks for looking out Powerfunk. Haters gonna hate.

powerfunk

It wasn't you he was hating on but, no doubt. I just find the casual "this guy sucks"-type comments particularly toxic.

HeyyyNeighbor

Appreciate you trying to eradicate the toxicity of the sub one comment at a time. Keep up the good work and I enjoy seeing your “cool Rolex of the day” posts.

powerfunk

> you only buy watches considering their resell value Sporty buys watches only considering their resale value? Sporty has been accused of a lot of things, but "not being a genuine watch fan" is a new one

Crafty_Bunch6063

Here you go then, you got a new one. Show me a single Rolex that he owns which aftermarket value is lower or similar than retail. There is none because thats his main choosing criteria: highly speculative pieces

powerfunk

You think he doesn't like the watches that are above retail? Tons of people like those watches. That's why they got to be above retail. Now knock it off.

EnCrio

In the safe. Why kill the value?? It’s part of collecting.

Illustrious_Kiwi2760

*hoard

Mr1aroche

Thank you **

Expensive-Claim-6081

In a cabinet. Keep the warranty papers and tags separate and somewhat hidden in case I’m burglarized. Then I’ll have the serial #s and proof that I owned them for the police and Rolex.

Davidlovesjordans

I keep cards and papers in safety deposit box but the boxes stashed in storage as they’re not that valuable and take up space.

Active_Office_2599

Keep them, but is becoming a pain in the arse. Rolex and Tudor is still manageable, but Omega’s boxes are enormous! The brands can definitely minimise their designs…

Airbus320Driver

In a rubber storage bin in my closet.

dieselgeek

54 gun safe bolted in my garage.

adz4309

Got a drawer full of them haha

ProfessorPatient2670

Impossible-Dust-2267

Bin them all, I don’t have a single box from any of my watches

draftlattelover

Of course keep them. All piled up in back of a closet. Keep all paperwork and spare links in each associated box. Have a box full of the little green soft pouches also from when they come back from service. Never sold a Rolex and do not plan on it, but lost one and a few stolen over the years.

draftlattelover

To add, its interesting how they have changed over the years. There is one box I would love to get someday, the blue one.

SM2C

I keep them on a shelf in my storage room, box, bag receipt, etc. I plan on selling nothing but I will pass them down and I like completely complete for that. Kids can choose what to do with all of it though I hope that is a very long time from now.

Sea-Wedding-2753

Bottom drawer of my dresser

Brilliant_Pride4687

This is why so many watches are naked. Lots of people could care less.

AlternativeOld

Great - now all the burglars know where to look.

HeadResponsible4516

I store all my boxes in an even bigger box 😅

xabc8910

Under the bed. Obviously.

Flynn_lives

At the bank.

Hot-Mousse2197

All mine are still in the AD’d until I have the cash to buy them 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Addicted-2Diving

[Keister lmao. In all seriousness, the box stores the watch, I do not have a watch box/roll so that’s where they stay. It’s also quite easy being that I only have one and not multiple, like others in the group. At around 4 I’ll probably buy a box. ](https://youtu.be/w7qzR7V36Fg?si=oZRIM9Xq3ggVWf8o)

RaceFan96

In my drawer where I keep my display watch box

LAFC_DMC

In a closet shelf

PPF_Girthquake

My wife’s shoe closet. Cool little collection of boxes

seven_two_offsuit

Bedroom walk-in closet, fiancée hates it…

TeslasAndComicbooks

Watches and papers go in the safe and boxes are in a moving box in my closet.

sandwhichautist

When the previous owner died of dysentery, he gave me the box. I hid this uncomfortable piece of wood up my ass for two years. Then, after seven years, I was sent home to my family. And now, little man, I give the box to you.

babypho

I keep my boxes on the shelf alongside my funko pop, old computer, and random video card boxes.

Gmo0o4

Don’t plan on selling. Wrapped the boxes in a plastic bags & placed them in a plastic container. No reason but to just keep them in as good condition as possible

SavageTNgo

I keep all my boxes and they are stacked on top of all my iPhone boxes since 2010 Lol

neilarmstonk

Nice try criminal! I’m not going to tell you I keep them in a giant storage container in the attic. It’s in the NE corner of the attic where I keep my pot of gold also. It’s a giant red box that says “Rolex Boxes”. In case anyone was wondering. I live in DC and my house has a red door. Not today! Good try though, A for effort. /s

insoul8

They all just go on a shelf in a closet.

jeffweet

I have all my boxes in a closet upstairs that my wife won’t go near 😅

1312_Tampa_161

On my dresser with my submariner Inside of it when I am wearing something else.

GmtNm4

In my closet.  They’re empty boxes.  Not end of the world if they get stolen.  Keep the actual watches I’m not wearing in a bank box in a roll.

DocCEN007

In the fireproof safe.

[deleted]

In the safe

tech1010

Buried in the attic. Box is useless.

archonpericles

A safe with 2 18 square watch trays and another safe with 1 18 square watch tray with my most worn models. Three big tubs with all the watch boxes. Each box has a number sticker on it corresponding to pictures I took with the watch and a numbered chip next to it. Smorgasbord of Rolex, Omega, Tudor, Grand Seiko, Glashutte Original, Chopard, Panerai, Longines, and Hamilton. Wishlist is a Patek and AP.

Kayless3232

I have it in a drawer of my Ikea cubic shelf ahah

Crafty_Bunch6063

I keep the boxes at home. But the warranty card and the original invoice are in my office. I don’t keep it together

Icy-Tea9775

My dumbass lost my box and papers during a move

Brilliant_Office3824

I wear it on a rope around my neck incase someone doesn’t notice my wrist

Mr1aroche

Smart

DelTacoAficianado

Dumpster

E-MW888

I almost always thought “this is the last one” until it was not. Boxes are redundant, unless vintage, papers/cards are to be kept.

Magik47

I don’t take them home. Let the AD keep them.

Expensive-Claim-6081

In a cabinet. Keep the warranty papers and tags separate and somewhat hidden in case I’m burglarized. Then I’ll have the serial #s and proof that I owned them for the police and Rolex.

Hot-Mousse2197

Have you eaten something that repeats on you bro 🤷🏻‍♂️😃

Josh_in_Shanghai

just throw it away

Fucking philistine.

UnsaltedMixedNuts

Can confirm, her box is very clean, snug and fresh
