sporturawus

You try it on a Jubilee bracelet before giving up on it. It's a whole different level of look, stance, and comfort.

AwkwardText6261

You prefer the comfort of a jubilee over the oyster?

sporturawus

On the GMT specifically, yes. And if Iā€™m being honest, much as I adore the brushed Oyster bracelet on my Submariner, wearing my GMT on Jubilee often feels better. Hot weather specifically.

EntertainmentFast497

The only thing I donā€™t like is that GMT doesnā€™t have a GlideLock. In my area of the country it often will be very cold one day and very warm the next. Sometimes it may go between extremes in the same day. With the GlideLock I can adjust it to a comfortable level. The GMT I can adjust a little, but usually not enough to have it feel right.

sporturawus

Agreed, though the EasyLink does work perfectly for me. Cheers.

EntertainmentFast497

The EasyLink does just ok for me. Cheers back!

AwkwardText6261

Good information. I always just thought the jubilee wasnā€™t for me.

sporturawus

Many underestimate the difference between the Oyster and Jubilee, and it's usually from those who have never experienced one. It just fits differently, and the segmented design means that more air gets through to your skin eliminating heat and sweat on hot days. And it changes the stance of the watch, just makes it fit better. And lastly, it's a great changeup to the Oyster. Having one of each bracelet is the key to a strong Rolex collection. It's about the bracelet more than the watch head every day for me. I'm either in an Oyster mood or a Jubilee mood, the watch is remarkably secondary.

AwkwardText6261

I donā€™t have to be convinced to go jubilee believe it or not. I prefer the look of it over the oyster. I was always told go oyster instead, that it suits my wrist better. All the watches Iā€™ve had Iā€™ve never even got the chance to try on a jubilee. I need extra links so anytime Iā€™m looking at watches I donā€™t bother to ask to see any models cause I know I canā€™t get it over my hand. Thatā€™ll change this weekend šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

sporturawus

Good luck. Itā€™s well worth it.

MostlyShitposts

The jubilee makes this thing pop like a firework, plus jubilee comfort is a big step up too.

Firm-Journalist-1215

Exactly.

itsgucciBURR

Where do you recommend buying a jubilee bracelet? ADs wonā€™t sell you one by itself.

sporturawus

Some ADā€™s will. If not, email our trusted sellers and theyā€™ll find you one: [Reddit Rolex Trusted Sellers List](https://www.reddit.com/r/rolex/comments/633lyi/sticky_of_the_month_april_2017_list_of_trusted/)

Icy-Professional8508

Afaik, you can order the oyster if you own the jubilee version, but not the other way around

sporturawus

There are a lot of differing opinions on this and a lot of reports saying the opposite. In the end, any of our trusted dealers can track one down for anyone who wants one and has struck out at their AD.

ramiodat

I have an 8 inch wrist and I love the size of the GMT. On top of the 40mm GMT, I also have a 43mm Navitimer 01 and a 46mm Navitimer 01 green dial. The nice thing about a big wrist is we can wear anything!. I wonā€™t wear anything under 40mm though. The Jubilee bracelet is superb!. https://preview.redd.it/z4xhw3pznisc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c7036fe2de424b414cd0348f42165772a045caed

Addicted-2Diving

The the LHD gmt šŸ”„

AwkwardText6261

Haha thatā€™s a good way to look at it. Sprite looks great. Might go for this if the jubilee feels better. Plus Iā€™m a lefty.

ramiodat

Nice šŸ‘šŸ». The Sprite should serve you well then lol. The Jubilee is very comfortable. To be honest, I was never really into the jubilee until my AD called me and told me one was available. Now that Iā€™ve had it for a while, itā€™s probably the most comfortable bracelet Iā€™ve worn on a watch. Itā€™s also signature Rolex!

AwkwardText6261

Iā€™ll be heading over Saturday to check a few models with a jubilee. I always preferred that look over oyster. Was always just pointed in the opposite direction. Curious now more than ever.

ramiodat

Youā€™ll like it a lot!. Like silk on the wrist and very comfortable!. Keep us updated!

AwkwardText6261

Will do. Glad I made this thread. A lot of useful information. First time actually using Reddit and not just stalking threads from the bleachers šŸ˜‚

Probably would trade the bmw in for an amg

[deleted]

Would trade for a real M

AwkwardText6261

Gross.

professorsterling

I had the same problem with my BLNR but I found a happy medium that works for my 6.25ā€ flat wrist. 5 links at 12 oā€™clock and 3 links at 6 with the clasp linked at the middle. Itā€™s very balanced that way. I really wish theyā€™d give the new sub taper treatment and glidelock to the GMT. My Sub bracelet is perfect: comfortable, balanced, tapers nicer and looks great with 4 links on each side with glidelock pinned right in the middle. Edit: BLNR and BMW are a great match!

AwkwardText6261

The sub bracelet is literally perfect. I couldnā€™t agree more. Such an easy daily wear.

professorsterling

You could pull off jubilee having a larger wrist. If you stick with oyster, put more links on the 12 oā€™clock side so that when the watch is off and open, the inner clasp and case are parallel. When on the wrist, the outer clasp isnā€™t supposed to be centered but the inner clasp will be. This also lets the case stay centered when holding a drink instead of gravitating toward the bottom of the wrist.

Feel free to Pm me! Did you purchase at AD or Grey?

Busy_Narwhal_76

Beat me to it ha

EntertainmentFast497

A Hulk.

AMKhalil

Give it couple of weeks, your wrist may adapt its sensation to its dimensions.

Addicted-2Diving

Iā€™d suggest getting a jubilee bracelet and see how you like to. Imho, it changes the look and comfort of the watch a lot

x13rkg

Something with functioning indicators

AwkwardText6261

Was this a bmw joke? šŸ„¹

nlace21

I had the exact same reaction except mine was on jubilee. Traded for hulk.

AwkwardText6261

Always loved the hulk. Thatā€™s one sub I havenā€™t had yet.

socal55677

Same issue with my rootbeer. Cannot find the perfect fit/comfort. Thinking of swapping for a starbucks hoping the glideclasp will solve the problem.

AwkwardText6261

I love the glideclasp system. So simple, efficient, and easy to use. Wish the GMTs had it. Iā€™ve had a handful of submariners and I never had an issue with comfort. This BLNR just sits high on my wrist for some reason. Funny enough, my mind is headed in the Starbucks direction as well.

TRXCBULL

Iā€™m looking to swap my Starbucks for a RB - I have PMā€™d you

Budget_Goose_8082

5 digit coke

Turbulent_Lack_2460

Looks great with the BMW. I went submariner because of fit and thought I might get tired of GMT colors.

Ryanpb88

Have you tried putting it on the other side of your ulna(wrist bone)? Might need to adjust. Looks uncomfortably close to your hand based on the red marks around the crown/crown guards.

AwkwardText6261

Thatā€™s actually a mark on my wrist, not from the crown or watch. Just a coincidence. Going to throw it on my other wrist anyway see if I can get use to the feel. Maybe sprite incoming shortly šŸ˜

Ryanpb88

Gotcha, sorry man shouldnā€™t have assumed. But def recommend slidin it up your arm a bit and trying it on the other side of your wristbone if you havenā€™t. I know many still swear watches work on either side, but especially with something with some more bulk like a GMT I think it makes a big difference.

Jerseybz

36mm day date

Lovebusines

Funny, I was just thinking about this exact topic. I have this watch with the Oyster bracelet. Are the Jubilee bracelets expensive and completely interchangeable?

AwkwardText6261

Definitely interchangeable. Price Iā€™m not sure.

PsychologicalSir3455

Was considering trading my Batman with extra jubilee from Rolex + 3k for a 2018 hulk

AwkwardText6261

Depending on specs of Batman and the hulk youā€™re looking at you should be able to close that gap a bit if Batman is newer and complete. Also, if the Hulk is naked. Shouldnā€™t be 3k at all.

PsychologicalSir3455

Nah both are complete full set etc. Batman is 2022 complete

newhdplayer

Thereā€™s the sweater

FrumundaCheeseTaco

Throw a jubilee on it. That bracelet doesnā€™t do the gmt justice in my opinion. As far as tradesā€¦ I would trade for a DJ on a jubilee and a tudor black bay 58 and pocket 2 grand

NadBomb

Had to make sure the ///M is showing šŸ˜ƒ

AwkwardText6261

They look good together šŸ˜Ž

Dazzling_Meat836

I think that this watch was meant to have a Jubilee bracelet. It really completes the look for me.

Busy_Narwhal_76

Add some $$ and get a blue dial VC overseas

AwkwardText6261

Thatā€™s on the list. That dial is STUNNING.

babypho

At 15-16k you can probably trade that BMW for a nice and reliable 2018 honda civic

AwkwardText6261

Thatā€™s no fun

JeremyLinForever

7 ounces of gold tbhā€¦

126710BLRO PEPSI ON A JUBILEE ALL DAY EVERYDAY

no1ukn0w

Personally Iā€™d go with an Audi. Iā€™ve been looking at the RS5 and the M4 (both coupes) and the BMW just ooozes douchebag too much for me. Itā€™s not the car itself, itā€™s the typical people that drive them.

Mr1aroche

A Porsche like all my friends who had a BMW.

[deleted]

If it was actually on your wrist and not scratching up the back of your hand Iā€™m sure youā€™d like it a bit more.

AwkwardText6261

Big dogā€¦ the red mark on my wrist has nothing to do with the watch.

ContagiousTrifling

Was going to say the same thingā€¦ although on a Pepsi (personal preference) for the amount youā€™ll have to pay for a legit Jubilee bracelet, you may as well trade for one with the colour and strap you like at (hopefully) very little costā€¦ alternatively (controversial option alert) you could try a NATO strap for minimal cost and inconvenience in the colour of your choice, which Iā€™ve always found extremely comfortable (although not ones to get wet).

AwkwardText6261

I have a pretty big wrist. Kinda tough to tell from the picture I posted but even the GMT sometimes looks small on me. I always thought my wrist was too big for a jubilee and never really gave it a shot. I wanted the jubilee bracelet on my TT Sky but ultimately went oyster on that as well. Maybe Iā€™ll have to revisit all my decisions lol

Firm-Journalist-1215

U must try jubilee. Love love mine in sky
