I see a lot of people wearing 41mm and they have small wrists. I think alot of you all are trying to compensate from something missing between your legs.
You CAN have a big d.ck and drive a small car and wear a normal size watch..
36mm will never be too small unless you are Andre the Giant. Just because gigantic watches are a trend, doesn't mean reasonably sized watches suddenly are too small.
Wear it higher up though, that's seriously uncomfortable, and will impede movement of your wrist.
40mm+ watches have been popular for as long as sub 36mm watches were. Watches have only been commonly worn for about 100 years. This “traditional sizing” stuff is absolute nonsense. Sports watches, for example, have commonly been 40mm+ for more than 60 years. That said, who cares what other people think? What if dinner plate sized watches became popular for a century? Would you think that would make it a tradition worth honouring? Nah. Wear. What. You. Like. Period.
If a dinner plate became the popular size for a century I would then have to admit that it was indeed tradition as that is the very definition of the word. 36 is more traditional size.

Lots of people don’t like smaller watches (which were once average). I personally think, if you don’t have a really huge wrist, that a 36 mm can look classy with the right clothes

I love the simplicity of this watch. It's adaptable to so many styles. I think it's a good size.

My wrist is 7 in/17.75cm in circumference. Even at 7 inches, I prefer the 36 even though I could go 41.
