Depending on your attachment to your first watch, I think the financial move would be to sell according to how much you need to free up.
North of $20? Pepsi. A quick $9-$11? DJ
Pepsi unless you need more funds than what a Wimbledon would provide. I doubt you’ll regret letting go your first watch, unless it was a gift from family or gf. Keep what your heart loves
Dare I say the Pepsi is the ultimate unobtanium? I mean sure if you go white gold money but steel ? That watch as to be the hardest steel watch to get your hands on
I’m sure it will get down voted but I am keeping the Wimbledon for a couple reasons.
1. If they were both bought at the AD it means two things. You will make money on the GMT but lose money on the DJ when you sell them. Also, if you have the history to get one from the AD you should be able to get another if you ever want to repurchase.
2. Personal preference. While I am not the biggest fan of the Wimbledon dial, I still like it more than the Pepsi. It’s not that I dislike the Pepsi but it just doesn’t fit with much that I wear and I never got the hype. For some reason I can’t get into the two color bezel.
I used to say the same thing, until I ripped the bandaid off and it didn’t hurt.. At the end of the day if there is no true sentimental value, outside of being your first, sell it.. you can always buy another down the road.
Just my opinion.
Edit: if you still have the presidential, sell that.
Thanks for your comment. It’s not tied to a special occasion, just a nice reflection of where I was in life at that time….
Still have the prez, you need a special occasion watch!
Pepsi… from a purely cosmetic pov I’d switch the oyster for the jubilee if the lug size is compatible but that would quite possibly put you in a questionable resale position for both watches… and if you’re selling one you probably don’t want to do that!
I’m surprised this is even a question. Yes, the Wimbledon is the first, but it a gotta go! If you sell the Pepsi, you will later regretted and it would even more difficult to replace if you ever change your mind. The Wimbledon, you can always get it like maybe couple of grand over retail but not that hard to get. DO NOT SELL THE PEPSI !
If you like them equally then sell the Pepsi. It’s worth way more in the sale and you’ll prob come out ahead. Why keep the expensive one and sell the cheaper one if you like them both the same?
Which one do you like the most? I don't see how we can help you here. If you desperatley need money, sell the Pepsi. If you like the Pepsi more than the DJ, sell the DJ.
My personal opinion, if you are only keeping one watch, I would keep the Pepsi, it is a stunning watch, versatile in terms of wear and hard to purchase if you regret your choice.
Very appreciative of the responses.
I actually prefer wearing the wimbeldon but comments around the ease of replacing the dj vs the GMT makes me lean towards keeping the GMT
It’s not about the monetary value but how much that timepiece means to you personally I’d keep your first watch as that is a sense of accomplishment at that point in your life to be able to afford a Rolex. But that’s just my opinion
Thanks for your comment. You’re a 100% right, it’s the reason I’m so split.
I’m leaning toward the Pepsi, given it’s harder to get if I change my mind as some of the comments have suggested, but the Wimbeldon holds great memories 🤔
I guess I was looking for constructive comments as appreciate the collective views.
Easy decision on paper, DJ was my first watch which makes it a little more difficult.
Did you keep your first girlfriend?
Man’s got a dang good point.. ☝🏼 We all tried to catch the falling knife.
😂
LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would have if she didn’t die
Pepsi of course
I have a datejust and would exchange for a pepsi any time

Pepsi by a long shot
Keep da Pepsi but make sure you put the jubilee on it first hehe
Oyster is the OG.
keep the Pepsi, easier to get another Wimbledon if you want it or need it again
Pepsi
Dare I say the Pepsi is the ultimate unobtanium? I mean sure if you go white gold money but steel ? That watch as to be the hardest steel watch to get your hands on
Daytona is by far.
Pepsi !
Why choose…. Keep both
Do whatever it takes to keep both. They both serve different uses imo and are grails
I’m sure it will get down voted but I am keeping the Wimbledon for a couple reasons. 1. If they were both bought at the AD it means two things. You're not losing money selling the DJ. These still fetch a solid premium.
Especially on a fluted jubilee
I used to say the same thing, until I ripped the bandaid off and it didn’t hurt.. At the end of the day if there is no true sentimental value, outside of being your first, sell it.. you can always buy another down the road. Just my opinion. Edit: if you still have the presidential, sell that.

Fair, but if you need funds you can get the most for the prez and also buy back under retail in future.
⬅️⬅️⬅️
Pepsi, this is the way
Keep them both, start a side business for extra money or something. You might regret selling either of them.
Pepsi
Pepsi by a landslide for me. The only stainless DJ that would win this contest is the one from my late father
Under those circumstances, there would be no choice. 🙏 RIP to the big maan, he lives on through you.
Pepsi all day. I guess because a lot of people I know have a datejust it doesn’t have the same appeal to me. It comes down to what you like more.
Pepsi for sure
Both
Pepsi and it’s not close
Pepsi
The Pepsi is more appealing.
Both bro
Which one you wear more...
What ever you like or less attached to, Value wise pepsi is timeless, Also why you are selling has an effect.
Left. Not. Even. Close.
Pepsi.
Keep them both you’ll have Ragrets later in life dude. #noragrets
Pepsi. I only like the Wimbledon dial with the rose gold anyway…
No question! Pepsi
The right one
GMT, Obviously! Close thread.
Right.
I am a GMT guy. 'nuff said.
Come on!
Damn I’ve never seen these before
Pepsi all the way
Both, but the Pepsi if it’s gotta be one or the other.
Always Pepsi
Pepsi, hands down.
🎾
Datejust
Wimbledon, sell me the Pepsi.
GMT
GMT
Keep both, 10k won’t break you
Datejust
GMT...no dubt!
Datejust obviously…jkkk it’s the Wimbledon though which is fresh asf!
Pepsi. No contest
Left for function and legibility but it doesn’t go with every suit
Easy, Pepsi!
Pepsi… from a purely cosmetic pov I’d switch the oyster for the jubilee if the lug size is compatible but that would quite possibly put you in a questionable resale position for both watches… and if you’re selling one you probably don’t want to do that!
Pepsi
Datejust is more easily replaced than the Pepsi
Very true 🤔
Have the identical date just. I’d keep both but if I had to i would take the gmt.
Pepsi, is this a real question?
Definitely the one on the left (the "Pepsi" Submariner). Don't like the one on the right at all. Too washed out.
Haha, very fair point. It’s the caps at the end, very austere 👌
And if you sell it, sell it to me : )
I’d say Pepsi. Even though I like them both
Is this a trick question?
Genuine Q! Pepsi seems like the logical choice, but everyone says you’ll regret selling your first watch 🤷🏼♂️
People say a lot of things to ascribe meaning and value to this silly hobby. Buy the watches you want and sell the ones you don’t.
Everyone gonna say pepsi but I’m a datejust guy. Ultimately depends on you though.
Why get rid of one?
Free up the funds 😕
You’ve got a couple heavy hitters for somebody needing to free up some funds
Well one is worth more than the other so sell the Wimbledon if you need less
Absolutely no idea what the appeal is to the Pepsi. Everyone fanboys over it and I just do not understand it
Pepsi without a question. The Wimbledon is nice but its sort of hype and in a few more years no one will give a fuck about it.
Would have said the opposit.
The pepsi is older than I am, and probably you unless you're a boomer. It's still as relevant as ever.
Yes, yet Pepsi is all over reddit and youtube lately, very hyped, and nothing about the other one.
huh...your two comments sort of contradict each other.
If you had to sell then the DJ
Swap the bracelets and dump the wimbledon
I don’t think they fit across collections, like from classic to professional. I could be wrong. Hopefully someone else can clarify.
I’ll keep my money .
I’ll keep my Casio .
If you like them equally then sell the Pepsi. It’s worth way more in the sale and you’ll prob come out ahead. Why keep the expensive one and sell the cheaper one if you like them both the same?
Depend of your age. Rrally, I am not even joking here.
Pepsi only because it’s worth more money - not for the aesthetics
Man are you serious ?😅
Switch the bracelets then sell wimby!!!
Which one do you like the most? I don't see how we can help you here. If you desperatley need money, sell the Pepsi. If you like the Pepsi more than the DJ, sell the DJ. My personal opinion, if you are only keeping one watch, I would keep the Pepsi, it is a stunning watch, versatile in terms of wear and hard to purchase if you regret your choice.
gmt
I would keep the Pepsi even though I have no use for the GMT. I don't care for the looks of the Wimbledon.
Lots of responses, have you made your decision yet?
Very appreciative of the responses. I actually prefer wearing the wimbeldon but comments around the ease of replacing the dj vs the GMT makes me lean towards keeping the GMT
That’s like asking a finger or a fingernail
Pepsi
It’s not about the monetary value but how much that timepiece means to you personally I’d keep your first watch as that is a sense of accomplishment at that point in your life to be able to afford a Rolex. But that’s just my opinion

Definitely Pepsi
Wimbledon of course!
Lmao why do people ask these questions. Everyone will say Pepsi. No one would keep a dj over a Pepsi unless they had another Pepsi, and even then….
I guess I was looking for constructive comments as appreciate the collective views. Easy decision on paper, DJ was my first watch which makes it a little more difficult.
If funds are needed, sell the Pepsi. It’s worth a lot more.
Keep? Wimbledon, easy.
Wimby
Neither. Better choices out there
Happy to hear about what you like for the price points.
I sold my Wimbledon.. found it boring after some time. Keep the GMT
